“The Ultimate Sickness: Its Root Causes

Plagues are cyclic. Notice in the chart that at times, the relative existence of huge swathes of the planet’s population have ended abruptly.

The most recent planet-wide plague - still continuing - is COVID. The forecast is that more extreme plagues are on the horizon.

Yet no other single sickness or plague has been as widespread as the Ultimate Sickness is today. Whereas most plagues have physical effects, the Ultimate Sickness has mental effects. It is a mind sickness.

The effects have generated senseless hierarchies, anger, angst, hatred, a sense of separation, misery, suffering, fighting, “relationship” destruction, etc., etc., etc.

Today, the non-realized (learned-ignorance-driven) masses are focused on making their bodies more appealing; billions are working to try to perfect their (non-existent) souls; billions are focusing their efforts on earning an eternal (imaginary) life of rewards and blessings in “heaven,” (also imaginary and fictional place).

All of that involves what Maharaj identified as key symptoms of the Ultimate Sickness: “ignorance, stupidity, and insanity.” In most cases with plagues, science has developed testing methods to determine if a human has contracted any of the illnesses;

however, with the most widespread sickness of all, few are checking to see if they have it. Why? Because most will manifest, abide, and un-manifest without ever having even heard of the Ultimate Sickness.

A person both trained and highly experienced with administering and analyzing the results of the Enneagram Institute’s Personality Inventory can use those results to diagnose certain personality disorders and the degree to which they have manifested.

Again, few have heard of that diagnostic test and fewer will ever take it and fewer still will find anyone capable of analyzing the amazing findings.

So it is.

A visitor referred to one case where I found concrete evidence of the presence of some serious personality disorders which were manifested to serious degrees:

“Your mentioning of the Borderline Personality Disorder made all sorts of bells begin to go off in my head. I am clear that I have brought plenty of “baggage” to my marriage, but when you talked about some traits of borderline personality disorder, I now understand that I have been seeing evidence of that disorder without ever having understood what it is and how it controls certain behaviors. That was alarming. How do I know if that is the case or not?

The reply: Of course you can search the internet for preliminary information, but a well-trained professional will probably be required to test for the disorder. In some cases, a professional who has been especially trained to treat BPD’s might be able to help address the symptoms of the disorder.

Not to alarm you further, but statistics regarding treatment success rates are not encouraging, yet that is not a hard and fast rule and some progress is being made in the development of effective treatment methods. Because BPD is so prevalent nowadays, I’ll dedicate some space to explaining it.  Look for these other signs beyond what I’ve already mentioned:

high rates of impulsivity, that is, impulsive, unpredictable behaviors and / or fluctuations in regards to what is liked or disliked at any given moment; frantic efforts to avoid abandonment alongside a willingness to abandon (followed often by a desire to reverse that and “get back together” or “become closer”); in other words, constant fluctuations in all areas of the relative existence are typical;

a history of intense or unstable relationships; an identity disturbance, often accompanied by a life-long effort to realize or to find the authentic self (always without success);

emotional instability and moodiness - frequent mood swings; passionately wanting the one they desire but able to dispassionately reject that same person later, even “in an instant.”

Here, I call it “the hug-slug syndrome”: you never know which “partner’ is going to show up - the hugger or the slugger; thus, you’ll see evidence of psychological splitting; related to that, you can witness those with the BPD first practicing idealization of people, followed later by devaluation of those same people;

a chronic sense of emptiness; inappropriate and intense - but totally unjustified - anger; paranoia; and, eventually, suicidal thoughts or behaviors; however, those symptoms can appear with other disorders as well. If you see several of those traits and behaviors showing up in combination, then you might arrange for a consultation with a mental healthcare professional.

Though the non-dual understanding might seem to be a clearly-indicated need and potential treatment for BPD, that is not the case. Here, there have been observed many cases of those with BPD who have worked for years to try to “get this message” and “become stable”;

in the end, however, they often remain somewhere beyond neurotic and as close to being psychotic as possible, though BPD types are often quite intelligent and have the ability to hide the disorder for a time

(even though they are unaware of the fact that the disorder is what is driving their unstable moods and thoughts and behaviors and their addiction to chaos and instability).

Best regards as you become informed about the disorder and then seek professional help if that need is indicated.

Now, to pause for review:

a review of what has been discussed so far in this series will help clarify exactly what is being referred to by the term “The Ultimate Sickness” and will help clarify exactly what it is which “The Ultimate Medicine” intends to address.

With this understanding comes an understanding as well of why it was the case here that years of religious activity and work and study did nothing to address permanently the problems that were rooted in The Ultimate Sickness;

why years of spiritual activity and exercises and study and work did nothing to address permanently the problems that were rooted in The Ultimate Sickness;

why years of working with professional therapists did nothing to address the problems that were rooted in The Ultimate Sickness; why years of being medicated by medical professionals did nothing to address the problems that were rooted in The Ultimate Sickness;

why years of self-medicating did nothing to address the problems that were rooted in The Ultimate Sickness; why years of reading everything written by the people Maharaj disparagingly called “The Big Name Teachers” did nothing to address the problems that were rooted in The Ultimate Sickness;

why years of reading the works of those same people (who studied the words of Maharaj and then bastardized his message by adding “ingredients” to give their own new version of non-duality a popular appeal in order to increase sales) did nothing to address the problems that were rooted in The Ultimate Sickness;

why years of searching around the globe for that which cannot be found anywhere other than where I already AM did nothing to address the problems that were rooted in The Ultimate Sickness; and why - at least in the case here - there was a total failure in the search to find even one teacher (among all of the religions and ideologies and philosophies and writers and lecturers and retreat organizers) who was able to teach the way to complete the “journey” that involved what was (accurately) said to involve:

“following a clear-cut path”

and that was (accurately) said to require that

“ . . . You should go back, reverse, to the source”

and that you must

“follow the same path by which you came”

and that the movement along that “path”

“should be done in a controlled and stepwise manner”

along with the (accurate) forewarning that

“it is not possible to jump straight to the end.”

Not one guide was found that laid out clearly and specifically the exact steps on a “path” that they said involved clear and specific and exact steps. Then, the fruits of the labor manifested when exposure to the non-duality teachings laid the foundation for understanding the clear-cut and specific and exact steps on the “path” that came via “the vision” which appeared while in a theta-level state of consciousness.

So what exactly is being referred to by the non-dual term “The Ultimate Sickness,” and what are the causes and symptoms of The Sickness, and how, exactly, does “The Ultimate Medicine” (that is, the non-duality understanding) serve as the treatment for The Sickness?

THE EXPLANATION

If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.

Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of god in the past was of a weak god, an absentee god, A Santa Claus-type god, a mean, punishing, vindictive god, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring god whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to."

The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a god that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").

Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring god,' any supposed god that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'god' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part.

"That is, a non-narcissistic their god / their goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'god' and focus on the 'god as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you." 

Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:

"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"

and 

"Heaven and hell are not geographic places

but are states of mind, nothing more than

concepts dreamed up by men."

in an interview with journalist Eugenio Scalfari,

a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record

teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium.

[That said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional courage required to question the very existence of their institution in light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of billions of their members past and present.

And that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will they? Not likely. Why?

Because what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the international crime families which hold sway over the masses as criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major international crime families and which are the most influential and have the largest memberships?

The Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank); Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers) like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.)

With all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business, politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the driving forces at play.

The masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]
