“THE PATH OF TOTALITY”

Yesterday, there was a discussion about the insanity of human sacrifices involving the sacrifice of virgins in order to please an obviously angry rain god. The virgins were donated by their parents to allow priests to rape them (because priests were “god’s representative on earth” and what pleases a male - god or human - more than sex?);

and to allow the priest to cut out her heart and pass it through the crowd; and to allow people to have communion with a god by all sharing in a ceremony which focused on sacrifice and eating body and blood.

At that same time when “ignorance and stupidity and insanity” (Maharaj) prevailed among humans, there were two more beliefs which were commonplace: (1) all natural events are controlled by either happy or angry gods with supernatural powers; and (2) “celestial events” were deemed to have special significance. Both were believed to be ways by which gods sent messages directly to humans.

[Some might recall that after Hurricane Rita I was traveling to Louisiana from Texas to conduct a series of satsangs when I made a pit stop at a gasoline / grocery store which was the only business open because the owner had a generator which was providing limited power for the business.

Downed trees marked the storm’s path along my 300-mile journey and many in the town of 800 or so people - 95% of whom lived in the forests surrounding the one-stoplight town - had taken a temporary job to help clean the roads.

When I approached the checkout counter to pay for a snack and drink, six men or so were listening to an ancient woman who seemed to have earned the rank of “town wise woman and spokesperson.”

After all agreed on the severity of the storm and the belief that god had sent it for some purpose, she said, “Listen up and listen good. God is trying to tell you something. You best find out what it is and change your way.” Six bobbleheads began to nod in unison. One injected, “You said it, Ma’am.”

It was dark inside the store because the output of the generator was not sufficient to run both a key refrigerated unit and lights as well. But the greatest darkness was among the woman and her six-man audience who had no clue whatsoever about the all-natural, no-supernatural causes of hurricanes, where hurricanes usually begin, how they usually move across the Atlantic, why they enter the Gulf of Mexico or head up the east coast, etc.

I left in silence, knowing there were seven people there who would be more than happy to open seven cans of whoop-ass for me should I suggest that no god had a damn thing to do with the storm.]

Nowadays, the consumption of body and blood in a religious ceremony which provided an opportunity to commune with god continues, and natural or celestial events still elicit awe from the masses.

The event presently in the news here in the U.S. is a total eclipse today. It has inspired millions to enter into a maniac stage. Festivals, viewing parties, and even a mass wedding are planned along the eclipse “path of totality,” where the moon will completely obscure the sun's light for up to a few minutes. The rub? Rain clouds may play the role of spoilsport, which could be the case especially in the southern and central US.

“Eclipses have a special power,” NASA administrator Bill Nelson said recently. “They move people to feel a kind of reverence for the beauty of our universe.” Hummm.

Here is Austin, Texas, which is in the “path of totality,” disappointment may reign. Storms and clouds are predicted. 

As for the manic state manifesting among the masses: Over a million people have flown into the U.S., spending money for flights, hotels, meals, etc.; yet the report this AM is that the sighting will likely be impossible because of the aforementioned rain clouds.

[Where’s a raping, murderous, vampirism-and-cannibalism-endorsing priest when you need one to please a rain god? Oh yeah. I know where they all probably are and what they’re probably doing right now.]

Ninety percent of the Airbnb listings have been booked along the path.

At the Stonehenge II park in Ingram, Texas, where there is a replica of that prehistoric structure in England, eclipse watchers have gathered from around the globe.

“This is our third solar eclipse,” said 62-year-old Jim Saltigerald, who was attending with his wife and two children. “We're all praying and hoping that we have a good break in the clouds and get to see it.”

In Cleveland, Texas where local officials expect some 200,000 visitors, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame plans a four-day “Solarfest” of live music.

And in Russellville, Arkansas, 300 couples are set to exchange vows at “A Total Eclipse of the Heart” mass wedding ceremony, with the “thin circle of light around the moon resembling a huge wedding ring in the sky!” the event's website boasts.

Television shows have been on the air for two weeks, explaining to the masses “the spiritual meaning of eclipses.” Hummm, again.

Several airlines have advertised flights scheduled to pass under the eclipse, while Delta Airlines has even planned two special trips along the path of totality.

The Perryman Group, a Texas-based research firm, estimates direct and indirect economic impacts of this year's eclipse could reach $6 billion.

Then there’s the risk of eye damage. Past eclipses have been followed by increases in hospital visits by people with complaints of blurry vision, changes in color perception, and blind spots, with the outlook for recovery far from certain.

One concerned ophthalmologist said that, “No matter how many warnings people hear before the eclipse, some nevertheless operate from a place of ignorance and look directly at the sun anyway.”

The non-dual link? While persons from all around the globe are coming here to claim a place in the path of total darkness, Maharaj predicted that less than 1% of the masses with ever escape the darkness and reach a state of enlightenment.

[Enlightenment” simple means, that the darkness of “learned ignorance and stupidity and insanity” has been eliminated  among those who have seen the light and realized that their beliefs are not their beliefs at all but are simply hand-me-down beliefs passed on to them by people following the path of totality, of total darkness.]

Those spending billions to be on the path of total darkness today could have easily stood up wherever they might have been on the globe and said, “You know what? We’re all on the path of total darkness already. I must seek the light and realize fully.”

THE EXPLANATION

If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.

Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of god in the past was of a weak god, an absentee god, A Santa Claus-type god, a mean, punishing, vindictive god, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring god whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to."

The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a god that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").

Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring god,' any supposed god that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'god' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part.

"That is, a non-narcissistic their god / their goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'god' and focus on the 'god as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you." 

Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:

"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"

and 

"Heaven and hell are not geographic places

but are states of mind, nothing more than

concepts dreamed up by men."

in an interview with journalist Eugenio Scalfari,

a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record

teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium.

[That said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional courage required to question the very existence of their institution in light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of billions of their members past and present.

And that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will they? Not likely. Why?

Because what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the international crime families which hold sway over the masses as criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major international crime families and which are the most influential and have the largest memberships?

The Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank); Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers) like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.)

With all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business, politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the driving forces at play.

The masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]
