BEING MADE CRAZY, CRAZY, STAYING CRAZY or AWARE OF CRAZINESS AND SEEKING SANITY
Consider these observations regarding the widespread insanity on planet earth:

Bernard Shaw was once asked if he thought there might be life on other planets.
His reply was that he was certain that there had to be life on other planets
because people there are obviously using earth as their insane asylum.
Mark Twain observed that “the way it is now, the asylums can hold the sane
people, but if we tried to shut up the insane, we should run out of building
materials”
and
“Really, what we want now is not laws against crime, but a law against
insanity. That is where the true evil lies”
and
“Once, I talked to the inmates of an insane asylum in Hartford. I have talked
to idiots a thousand times, but only once to the insane.”
Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj said, “This is our stupidity, verging on insanity.”
When does The Going Crazy Process begin? It begins when language develops and allows a child to be exposed to the contagion - to the source of The Ultimate Sickness - specifically, to the virus of faulty programming, to the cancer of totally nonsensical conditioning, to the infection of warping domestication, and to the potentially-fatal diseases of acculturation and indoctrination and brainwashing.
The Sickness continues, in most cases, throughout the entire manifestation of
consciousness. In some few cases, treatment for the effects of personality
disorders is sought; is some cases, hospitalization provides an opportunity for
clinically-diagnosable insanity to be treated;
and
in some cases, the non-dual understanding provides an awareness which ends
distortion and delusions and belief in illusions and untruths; which can lead
to clear perspectives; and which can allow the restoration of sanity to happen.
When does The Going Sane Process
begin? When one is totally ready to discard belief in lies; when one is ready
to take each comment made and is willing to pause long enough to turn it around
180-degrees so that the statement points more toward the true than the false;
when one is willing to ask: “Is it possible that everything I have ever been
taught or told or now believe is false?”; when one is willing to seek the
Truth; and when one is willing to search until he / she finds a teacher that
has traveled the same “path” from going crazy to going sane and can point the
way to those who would travel it now.
Otherwise, there will be no relief from personality disorders and insanity, and
there will be no avoiding the chaos which follows attaching to, and dealing
with, others who are suffering from their personality disorders and varying
degrees of insanity.
For thousands of years, realized guides have been offering to seekers an invitation to abandon their limited and limiting body-mind-personality identification. Why?
Most have some sense that that which they truly are is beyond a physical body alone. Fewer understand that the invitation to let go of “the mind” - specifically, the bogus content of the “mind” - because it is the seat of all of the distortion and sense of separation and fighting and war and destruction around the globe.
Additionally, few understand that the non-dual invitation to abandon identification with personality - with any persona - is required if one is to be free of the personality disorders that are the precursor to insanity.
The
content of the book “PROGRAMMING, CONDITIONING, DOMESTICATION, AND
ACCULTURATION: The Sources of the Ultimate Sickness and the Non-Duality
Treatment” discusses the ways that the ideas, concepts and beliefs presented
early on to a perfectly-sane child begin the process that will eventually
render the child completely insane, to one degree or another;
the book “Instability / Insanity: What Non-Duality Can (and Cannot)
Address” explains which instances of personality disorders and insanity and
instability can be addressed by the non-duality teachings and which cannot.
The book, “Going Crazy / Going Sane,” looks at the current situation where insanity is “the new ‘norm” around the globe; offers examples of the planet-wide pervasiveness of personality disorders and insanity . . .
(both
topics addressed by realized guides for thousands of years but likely occurring
now at a rate that is at an all-time high); and offers (in addition to the
content in the book “THE ULTIMATE SICKNESS, THE ULTIMATE MEDICINE”) additional
considerations for “Going Sane” in an insane “world.
Consider:
“Insanity” is defined as “extreme foolishness and / or irrationality; a state
of serious mental illness; or, a state of total madness.” Add to that “believing
lies to be true; not being able to differentiate true from false
believing what one is told without investigation; believing that one’s false identities are real; and believing the lies that egotism tells the self; refusing to consider any suggestions or considerations that do not reinforce one’s false beliefs and roles.”
Who could be surprised to know that Maharaj was one of the least popular of all of the gurus in India that were offering the understanding in his day?
Who could be surprised to learn that the teaching offered here - especially those rooted in the Nisarga Yoga - remains the least popular today?
When persons are invited to abandon their preoccupation with the body-and-mind-and-personality triad, the personality / personalities / ego / ego-states will trigger the use of the defense mechanism.
That is the reason that the masses only want to hear that which reinforces their body-mind-personality identification, so persons reject that which is contrary to their views and beliefs - though those views and beliefs have never been analyzed or questioned objectively.
Instead, the ego’s desire, and egotism’s desire, is to hear wonderful things about the body:
“Yes, you really look good”; and
the ego’s desire, and egotism’s desire, is to hear wonderful things about the mind:
“Yes, you are so knowledgeable and smart and intelligent and brilliant”; and
the
ego’s desire, and egotism’s desire, is to hear wonderful things about the
assumed personalities
“Yes, all of the roles you are playing are so meaningful and important and make you different from all the rest and better than all the rest and really good - no, wait - make that ‘really great’.”
The desire to hear that which reinforces their beliefs will cause most to reject outright the understandings which invite the masses to stop believing lies; to stop accepting as fact statement that have not been investigated;
that invite religious and spiritual giants to stop all of their efforts to support new and improved but false identities by trying to live supernaturally and to consider abiding in a natural manner instead.
