"Now you know all the wrong turns that resulted in your being lost in all those false identifications: the obstacle of genetic coding that automatically sets up dualistic thinking, the programming and conditioning, the enculturation, and all those contributors to the 'storehouse' of lies and ideas and concepts and beliefs that corrupted the pure consciousness and resulted in the illusions of your restless and variable 'mind'."

[Continued from 10 August 2005]
F.: "Now, before we leave the discussion of genetic messaging completely, another point needs to be made about the impact of the archetypes that you brought up. What we called the ‘True Self’ has nothing to do with any genetic self or encoding, but that 'genetic self' is another obstacle to realization. The collective unconscious might provide, via genetic transmissions, certain images that result in behaviors that are useful for survival of the food-body, but adults must eventually get free of the influence of archetypes as well if realization is to happen. For example, a child might look over the edge of a tall building or cliff and get that automatic warning, that alarming 'jump' in the gut. The signal might prevent a fall, but as one seeks realization, the influence of archetypes must also be abandoned."
Q.2: "Why should their influence be abandoned if they're natural? You said it's natural living that's supposed to happen in the relative existence."
F.: "Archetypes aren't natural. They're the result of experiences, and only a body-mind-personality can have an 'experience.' I have no experiences. The consciousness merely is. Furthermore, to experience fear when not in danger is not natural. Billions have looked over the edge of the Eiffel Tower and had a fear-response triggered, but they all knew full well that with a protective screen of wire guarding the perimeter that there was no way they could fall over the edge. That genetic messaging is at the heart of seeing a snake in a rope, and we've agreed that 'wrong perspective' prevents seeing reality. [Nods] Archetypes are based in duality: 'up' is good and 'down' is bad; 'dark' is bad but 'light' is good. So the messaging goes. The tendency to moralize and judge and separate is implanted via archetypes long before a child receives its first lesson from a person or book that's claimed to be 'holy.' The point is, all that coding is about the person—about a food-body-mind-personality triad that works constantly to perpetuate the body—and is not even remotely about the Real. In fact, that coding contributes significantly to the desire for eternal body-mind continuity since the purpose of the coding is to aid in perpetuating the continuity of the food-body. That instinctive desire to be—to survive as long as possible in this world and then eternally in another—can convince a person that the impossible is possible and that the body-mind can last forever. The person's love-to-be is reinforced by that coding, so the messaging is another obstacle on the path to realization. The archetypal imaging, as is the case with all images, ultimately blocks the awareness of the Real."
Q.2: "I don't get that at all."
F.: "Consider this: it’s only that slight vestige of uncontaminated consciousness that occasionally inspires a person living in one or more ego-states to say, “This in not who I really am. Who or what am I, really?” The genetic encoding, on the other hand, contributes to our not knowing who we are because it inspires further body identification and preoccupation with ‘saving’ the physical body. To understand exactly how you arrived at a dead end street, a street that is so far removed from the major highway that you must journey on to reach realization, is the prerequisite for returning to the main road and reaching your destination. When you began these sessions, you were all at stuck at a dead end and not knowing where to go. Why? Because you didn't have the slightest clue how you ended up there, being completely lost. Now you know all the wrong turns that resulted in your being lost in all those false identifications: the obstacle of genetic coding that automatically sets up dualistic thinking, the programming and conditioning, the enculturation, and all those contributors to the 'storehouse' of lies and ideas and concepts and beliefs that corrupted the pure consciousness and resulted in the illusions of your restless and variable 'mind'.” Please enter the silence of contemplation.
