F.: [Continued from yesterday] For that space called “floyd,” Realization happened in an instant, but the play of consciousness had been “studied” and “observed” for some period of time. For comparison, consider the theater-goer who has watched a play or movie, has been caught up in the drama, has identified with certain characters and has been fooled right up to the end. Then, at that moment of peripetia at the end of the drama, all the lies are seen as lies and the truth becomes revealed; however, notice that even after the “dramatic climax” (compared to the Realization), there is a period of “falling action” and then “resolution.” The falling action leads to the conclusion but is not the conclusion. (Compare that to all the false identities falling away over time.) The resolution is that part of the drama that follows both the dramatic climax and the falling action. (So even after the peripetia, even after the Realization, there is no immediate "end" to the drama, but the end is near. The action and acting "taper off" to the finale.)
During the resolution, a new state of affairs begins to emerge. A “new norm” is established in the lives of those characters who became awareness of the lies which they had believed in…right up until the moment of peripetia when the truth was revealed to them during the dramatic climax. Once all is resolved, then it becomes clear that the awareness of truth will determine how things are going to be from then on. What reaches a climax on the Advaita "path"? The false identities and the ego-states. They reach a climactic end, they all fall away, and then a “new norm” (called “AS IF living”) begins. Similarly, de-accumulation cannot happen instantly after a lifetime of accumulating as a result of programming and conditioning and enculturation. Roles are accumulated; false identities are gathered up; ego-states are developed; "stuff" is accumulated. Discarding it all takes more time for some than others. So it is. Most will never discard any of it. So that is, too. But post-realization, the zenning-out process begins.
So being completely rid of all the mental and emotional and illusory “stuff” may not happen instantly as some beocme free of all the lies and beliefs and baggage picked up along the way in a more gradual fashion than others. It all depends on how corrupted the consciousness was at the beginning of the "journey." (Some have been driven far more insane than others; that is, some are far more out of touch with Reality than others. Their "journey" back is obviously going to be a longer journey.) Others are burdened with the impediment of believing their programming to “have faith” and “never question.” They may never cleanse the corrupted consciousness. So that is. Next, the chemical balance within the body must be addressed. Certain body organs affect behavior and moods and feelings and stability (or lack of stability) as well as the inability to tell true from false.
Some need the benefit of working with a holistic health treatment team because physical organs can impact mental/emotional areas such as "thinking," feeling, emoting, and behaving. You can be as “aware” as you want, but if you follow a food plan that is high in alkaline foods, you will be melancholy or moody or even depressed. If the body is shifted to an acidic state, irritability will happen. Those natural laws cannot be suspended by trying to “think your way” through mood shifts or by trying to “pray your way” to peace. It cannot happen. One might as well believe that he can pray hard enough that he can suspend the laws of gravity as to believe that he can suspend the laws of body chemistry and the effects.
Deficiencies result from a contaminated food supply or from choosing the inappropriate food plan for a particular body type (4, 8, or 5). Each of the three body types requires a different food plan. No single plan is “right” for the entire population, only one-third can perform optimally with a vegetarian food plan, and all food plans nowadays need supplementary help. As long as the consciousness is manifested in a food body, then the food body will have needs, and those needs vary among the three food body types. Next, several of the Sufis’ Nine Personality Types, as identified in their Enneagram System, will dominate persons who have not transcended personality. As with the three body types or gunas, personality can drive behavior. A Type Nine will typically be lethargic while a Type Three cannot sit still. Threes are driven to accomplish and achieve and perform and therefore seek audiences. They want their voices to be heard. They sing. They speak. They talk and talk and talk, their ego-states more firmly entrenched than among some other types. In contrast, Type Fours are more introspective and enjoy quiet time alone rather than wanting a captive audience. When the ego-states of “The Achiever” or “The Performer” or “The Speaker” disappear, then peace and quiet—and freedom from chaos—suddenly seem more attractive than in the past.
Have you researched and found your body type and learned the specific food plan that your body needs? Have you come to understand the impact that physical organs have on mental/emotional well-being? Do you know what the body is lacking and needs in terms of supplements to that plan? Have you researched and found which of the nine personality types you are and then brought into conscious awareness those specific traits that drive you and that need eliminating? How free are you from the illusions of dependencies on people and things and “powers”? How dedicated have you become to de-accumulating chaotic persons from your relative existence?
As you said, the Advaita teachings extend an invitation to eliminate all “non-sense.” Does it make sense to allow a priest or guru to tell you what is best for you to eat when they haven't a clue what body type you have? Does it make sense to depend on persons or "holy" texts to reveal what can only be found within by use of the inner resource or the inner guru? Does it make sense to place oneself in the presence of the corrupted and corrupting energy of chaotic, insane persons? Does it make sense when one does not know Who/What He or She Truly Is? Does it make sense to be driven by personas being played? Does it make sense to fail to recognize (and be rid of the influence of) the personality that eliminates choice and drives destructive behavior? Does it make sense to identify with the body? Does it make sense to be driven by a “mind” (which is nothing more than the accumulation of the lies and beliefs that have been taught to you by the non-Realized in your culture)? Forget what they know and find what YOU know but have forgotten. Then YOU will leave the path of nonsense automatically and will follow a sensible path through the remainder of the AS IF existence. Please enter the silence of contemplation.
