Today's Considerations
In approximately 4-1/2 months, it will have been twenty-six years since the two sections of the brain which made up what was called "floyd's mind" were purged. Because that happened, then it also happened that the belief in a host of multiple personalities - multiple "personal identifications" - also came to an end, spontaneously.* The end of the mind happened because every notion, perspective, conviction, principle, faith-based certainty, idea, and concept (a.k.a., "all my beliefs") which had ever been stored in the mind were discarded.
[*You may recall from past posts that - of the nine basic personality types which make up the "identity starter set" for every human on the planet - one of those nine (which is called "a person's primary type") will usually be locked into place by the age of six or so. Of that type, Maharaj did say that even after persons reject the belief in any and all identifications, there will remain throughout the balance of the relative existence a slight vestige of one's original, primary type. For example, Maharaj's primary type was the Type Four - the seeker of Reality and authenticity. It was that remaining trace or hint of his original type which led him to receive visitors into the loft and which led him to share non-dual pointers for so many years. Yet never would "the Realized" continue to believe that the remnant of one's original, primary type is an actual identity. Even "the Realized" is a term used only temporarily for the sake of discussion; thus Maharaj's pointer that "I am nowhere to be found. I am not a thing to be given a place among other things."]
Those nine basic types (which develop to varying degrees in every human along with all of the other identities which will be assigned and / or assumed) all have their own agendas, desires, and fears, and those agendas and desires and fears cause the mind to race; that, in turn, causes the body to race. The go-do-zoom-inspiring agendas and desires and fears of Types One through Four have been discussed. The discussion of the next types follows.
Type Fives (The Analyst / The Knowledge Seeker / The Jnani) are driven to accumulate knowledge in order to show off their knowledge, to show how smart they are, and to gain praise for their wealth of knowledge. While on occasion their bodies might be still as they are reading the books which will be used to make up a library which will serve as physical evidence of their storehouse of knowledge, their bodies are still zooming inside. Moreover, they too can enter into the physical going and doing and zooming which the mind-content of other types also inspires, so they will often be seen going to seminars and going to retreats all throughout the year and going to speeches being offered by Big Name Teachers.
Fives run from their basic fear of being overwhelmed by the realities of the relative existence and from the fear that they might not have enough knowledge accumulated in their "fact"-filled minds to know how to handle every situation that might ever arise. Their basic desire is to be seen as "The Go-To Person to Get All of the Answers" and "The Most Competent and Most Knowledgeable One of All."
The Type Six (The Loyalist / The Dependent One / The Co-Dependent One / The Anxious One / The Fearful One) engages in going and doing and zooming as a result of a quest to find a care-taker - be that a person or an organization or a religion or a business or a support group or some other kind of cult - which can provide a sense of security to replace their sense of insecurity (and to address their sense of entitlement that they deserve to be taken care of).
Their basic fear is having no external source or sources for support and guidance. Their basic desire is to find that external support . . . or multiple sources of support. Fifty percent of all persons on the planet are Type Sixes, so fifty percent are going to be involved automatically in going and doing and zooming as they are forever seeking protectors and protection for their bodies and personas. (Contrast that 50% number with the fact that only 1/2 of 1% are Type Fours.) Many Type Sixes - being anxious and fear-based - are especially drawn to professions where firearms or larger weapons are a standard part of the equipment: military, police, security guards, hit men, gangsters, etc. If not involved in one of those themselves, then Sixes can be drawn to form relationships with those who do bear arms.
[Tomorrow] Types Seven, Eight, and Nine: what robs them of any and all ability to relax and take it easy and what drives them instead to race through the relative existence.
To be continued.
Please enter into the silence of contemplation.
