TODAY'S CONSIDERATIONS

Persons (the "non-realized") are also willing to enter onto a "path" and then end up staying on it, and willing to begin a "journey" which never reaches the destination but continue on that "journey" anyway, and are willing to accept a treatment plan which they are told offers no cure for what ails them but normalize that and stay with that ineffective plan, anyway, for this reason also:
55. Humankind's attachment to its "Monkey-See, Monkey-Do" tendencies.
So, it was seen yesterday that a major problem among humans is that they act just like monkeys and other primates, mimicking others rather than being "true to themselves . . . rather than being authentic." In fact, humans are typically uninterested in authenticity at all and are more prone to play the roles of "Actors," "Copycats," "Parrots," "Impersonators," "Impressionists," and "Imitators."
And while some might model someone who is awake and aware and conscious, the actual chances of finding someone who is awake and aware and conscious to model are rare. The odds are almost totally in favor of finding persons who are suffering from the now-universal Ultimate Sickness and, therefore, the odds are that most humans will model someone who is (according to Maharaj) displaying the key symptoms of the Sickness (which include "ignorance, stupidity, and insanity").
Next, no matter what is being modeled, only one person originally "came up" with that and all others are just copying and trying to mimic what was modeled by someone else. Consider moves perfected by Simone Arianne Biles, an American artistic gymnast who was the 2016 Olympic individual all-around vault and floor gold medalist.
In the floor exercise, Biles developed what has become her "signature move": a double layout with a half-twist and a blind landing, now officially known as "the Biles." (View pics below from right to left)
The move begins with a backward takeoff. Biles somersaults twice, head-over-heels, with her body in a straight, laid-out position. At the end of the second somersault she rotates her body a half-turn so that she lands facing forward.
She developed the move; now any others doing the same move will just be mimicking her rather than developing something which is inspired from within.
Because
(1) humans mimic the way that others talk and they mimic the exact words that others say; and mimic the way that others socialize; and mimic the way that others behave when they are trying to "improve"; and parrot the words that they hear; and because
(2) nothing is mimicked more around the globe than religious practices (what with 97% claiming an affiliation with one religion or another);
then
(3) humans become willing to enter onto a "path" and then end up staying on it, and become willing to begin a "journey" which never reaches the destination but continue on that "journey" anyway, and become willing to accept a treatment plan which they are told offers no cure for what ails them but normalize that and stay with that ineffective plan, anyway.
They will then go along with a priest who says that the male Rain God is angry with them and that is why their crops are drying up and dying; that nothing calms an angry male like sex; that the priest is God's rep on earth and will therefore have sex with a female in the community; that virgins are prized so the sex will take place with a virgin; that gods love sacrifice;
so after sex, in a precursor to snuff films, the priest will cut out the heart of the virgin while she is still alive and will eat the body and drink the blood and will then pass it among the crowd to do the same, thereby allowing them to all "commune" with the Rain God and make him happy so he will give them rain.
Some religious persons will reenact that ceremony for 5000 years. For years, they will engage in religious ceremonies wherein such "sacrifices" and killings are conducted. Later, they will conduct their religious ceremonies without the killings but will mimic the original vampirism and cannibalism.
Nowadays, some religious leaders will offer bread and wine - which they claim is the actual blood and body of Christ - and will do that on a daily or weekly basis while endorsing the making of sacrifices (often involving the sacrifice of the worshipers' money);
some "religious or spiritual persons" will wear special clothing or special robes or special jewelry or special adornments; or will burn specially-scented sticks; or will hit a special bowl sitting on a special pillow with a special stick; or will ring special bells; or will chant special chants or hum special hums; or will visit special temples of special geographic sites; or will collect and display pieces of crystal in special ceremonies conducted on special days; or will eat special diets;
some of them will bow on special rugs and in one special direction on the compass and they will do that five times a day to pray; some will collect trillions of dollars to build thousands of opulent edifices where they can gather and worship their Savior (ignoring the fact that he said that poverty is preferable to focusing solely on wealth accumulation);
some of them will castrate themselves when told to do so by their cult leader in order to prepare themselves to rendezvous with a spaceship that will whisk them away to heaven, a spaceship that is traveling along behind a comet in order to remain out of view of people on planet earth;
some of them will drink poisoned Kool-Aid because their cult leader told them to do so; some will go to their houses of worship on a daily or weekly basis and be very noisy; they will listen to sermons offered in a language they do not understand; some English-speaking seekers will pay $10,000 to go to a retreat in South America where the retreat is conducted in Spanish, and even though the ones going to the retreat do not speak a word of Spanish, (though they have assured me afterwards that they "know what is being said, basically");
some will jabber and natter and chatter and babble and prattle in order to make sounds that they claim are evidence of their members' ability to "speak in unknown tongues"; they will wallow about and flounder about and roll around on the floor in their "holy" buildings to prove to observers by way of their rolling and dancing and shaking and other boisterous movements that they have "truly fallen under the influence of the Holy Spirit";
some of them will wear special underwear; some of them will roll about on leftover food; some will use "E-Meters to detect spiritual impediments"; some, to supposedly be free of their sins, will slaughter a chicken onto which their sins have supposedly been transferred; some will dress up as a humanoid bird and allow themselves to be hanged by the use of hooks through their skin; some will drop their children fifty feet from atop a mosque and allow other worshipers below to catch their children in sheets, supposedly to ensure the health of the children;
some will worship relics which include what is supposedly a piece of the cross on which Christ was crucified or which include what is supposedly the foreskin of Christ which was saved and is now hermetically sealed in a gold and glass tube or which include what is supposedly the shroud which the body of Christ was wrapped in after his crucifixion (which has been shown by radiocarbon tests to have been fabricated about 1300 years after Christ died);
some will conduct exorcisms to evict demons or other evil, spiritual entities from a person or place which they are believed to have possessed or taken control of; some will baptize the dead into their religion because they believe that unmarried females cannot enter into heaven unless married to a male in their church who can give them the secret code name which they'll have to use to be pulled through the veil into a new world where males, if in good standing with the church at the time of death, have become gods and have multiple wives and are now ruling over their own kingdoms;
some of them will wear no clothes while claiming that they are not nude but are "clothed in the environment"; some of them will leave their children in the care of religious leaders who have a centuries-long reputation for molesting children and whose top officials have a centuries-long reputation for denying and covering up the molestation;
some of them will deny the most basic medical care for their children - such as a simple round of antibiotics to cure an infection - and will allow their children to die because the parents' religion teaches that the use of medicine rather than prayer would be evidence of their lack of faith;
and other religious and spiritual persons will claim that all of the above is indeed evidence of the "ignorance, stupidity and insanity" which Maharaj spoke of but that their own particular religion is "mainstream" and has no ignorant, stupid and / or insane practices and that they engage in no ignorant and stupid and insane mimicking of rituals which were dreamed up thousands of years ago by persons being driven by the highest levels of ignorance, stupidity and insanity imaginable.
And when children see their parents behaving in ignorant, stupid and / or insane ways, the children will most likely mimic those same ignorant, stupid and / or insane actions for their entire existence. Why?
Because the most common personality style of the nine basic types is the one that inspires person to be dependent on authority and to respect authority and to never question authority. (Again, another reason that the sages' invitations for ages has been to abandon all personality identification.)
By contrast, only 1-2 of 1% of the population of the planet has a personality style which is more comfortable with rebelling again nonsense rather than unquestioningly accepting nonsense and believing that the nonsense they believe is totally sensible.
