TODAY'S CONSIDERATIONS
Persons (the "non-realized") are also willing to enter onto a "path" and then end up staying on it, and willing to begin a "journey" which never reaches the destination but continue on that "journey" anyway, and are willing to accept a treatment plan which they are told offers no cure for what ails them but normalize that and stay with that ineffective plan, anyway, for this reason also:
55. Humankind's attachment to its "Monkey-See, Monkey-Do" tendencies.
It does not matter how a silly human might behave in the presence of a monkey, orangutan, gorilla or other primate; the primates have been seen at times to mimic the humans nonsensically and exactly, like this:
Or like this:
Humans can do the dumbest things, and primates which would not normally or typically do those dumb things will often, nevertheless, do those same dumb things if they see a human doing them first.
One of the major problems with humans, though: they act just like those primates. Humans mimic. They play the role of "Copycats," "Parrots," "Impersonators," "Impressionists," and "Imitators." So humans who might not normally or typically do the dumb things that they see other humans doing will often,
nevertheless, do those same dumb things when they see other humans doing them
first.
Sometimes the modeling is intentional. At other times, as Annika Paukner - a comparative behaviorist at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development - said:
"We've known for awhile that we humans imitate each other all the time, unintentionally and unconsciously."
The result?
Duality-based, division-generating conflicts which always escalate when humans mimic the behavior of others humans:
Humans mimic the way that others talk and they mimic the exact words that others say; they mimic the way that others socialize; they mimic the way that others behave when they are trying to "improve"; they mimic the words of hate they hear others say; and they parrot the prejudicial words that they hear and then spread those words which reinforce a duality-based, arrogance-based sense of being different from and, therefore, better than.
And then - as a result of their ignorant and stupid and insane mimicking - both parties, or both partners in "relationships," or both members of opposing political parties, or opposing leaders of nations continue until their ego-state-based emotions intensify and all persons involved become emotionally-intoxicated and then their discord grows and escalates their conflicts into fights, divorces, political gridlock, or wars.
Humankind's attachment to its "Monkey-See, Monkey-Do" tendencies will remove the ability to make conscious choices - just as happens when the hidden agendas of false identities are driving thoughts and words and actions.
The result: humans end up with constantly-ongoing noise rattling away between their ears, noise which is not unlike the chatter of a thousand monkeys going on in their heads. There is no peace; there is no quiet; and soon noise is normalized and there is not even a desire for peace and quiet.
I have a relative who gets up in the morning and turns on the television and cranks up the volume and then leaves the room. When asked about that behavior, the reply was, "I need to have some background noise throughout the day."
Is there any chance those types might cross paths with a quiet person and model that behavior? Not likely. In fact, most persons dislike people who are quiet or introverted. They think that quiet people are abnormal and suspicious and they often shun them and treat them like outcasts.
In fact, in Anglo-Saxon-dominated cultures such as the U.S., as well as in many other nations, the loud and the obnoxious are often admired and the angry screamers are being elected to political office.
When I owned a company that arranged tours throughout Western Europe, the quiet locals were easily distinguished from the noisy and insufferable persons whom the locals referred to as "The Ugly Americans."
Who that cannot sit in the quiet is ever likely to listen quietly to a sage and then sit in the quiet and take the sage's pointers into consideration? Usually, none.
It should be clear why Maharaj predicted that only 1 in 100,000 will ever come to understand and then realize fully; that he later changed that to 1 in 1,000,000; and that he later modified that to 1 in 10,000,000. When quiet consideration is a prerequisite for realization, what are the odds? Not high.
Such is the typical state of the human mind which is now marked by through-the-roof levels of psychic disintegration.
So much for those talking about "a global expansion of enlightenment." Nonsense.
Pandora's box has been opened. The cows have left the barn and efforts to shut the door now will be futile. Noise prevails; going and doing and zooming prevail; and 'the world' is not ever likely to change in that regard.
What can change - if you've been pulled into that trap - is the way that your existence unfolds from this point forward, and the change can come without having to make a "lifetime" commitment to some "path" or "journey" or "plan."
To be continued.
Please enter into the silence of contemplation.
