WHY ELSE REALIZE?

The following was shared four years ago but is still relevant to the discussion begun yesterday:
Because of perverse mind stuff - programming and conditioning and domestication and acculturation and indoctrination and brainwashing - persons are not prepared to seek the natural, the peace, the quiet. To the contrary, they are made ready to accept as normal their often subconscious but all-too-common state of agitation and impatience and petulance and annoyance and irritation and unhappiness. That leaves the masses with a predilection for the unnatural and / or the supposedly supernatural but not for the natural at all.
As for most of those and most all other persons, they have developed a tolerance for insanity and chaos and pain and misery and suffering because of the psychological process of “normalizing.”
"Normalization" refers to a social process by which abnormal or unnatural or supposedly supernatural ideas and actions are seen as “normal” or “natural” among certain cultures or among the masses in general. Normalization perpetuates the symptoms of the Ultimate Sickness which Maharaj identified, including “ignorance” and "stupidity" and “insanity.”
When beliefs or actions which are unnatural or abnormal are thought to be natural, that is evidence of the presence of ignorance and insanity. When beliefs or actions which are abnormal but are thought to be normal, that is evidence of the presence of ignorance and stupidity and insanity.
When natural events in nature happen because of natural causes but the masses believe those events were caused by a supernatural force or Power, then that is also evidence of the presence of ignorance and stupidity and insanity.
As examples:
1. The path of Hurricane Katrina in 2005 was determined by all-natural causes, including global rotation, global winds, trade winds moving westward from the coast of Africa, the position of a variety of high and low pressure systems, etc.
Yet the Dalai Lama - either
(a) knows nothing about why hurricanes actually follow the track they follow
or he
(b) wanted to use the event to further his own agenda and spread his own belief system so he assigned a supernatural cause to an all-natural event. He claimed that "the people of New Orleans were hit by Hurricane Katrina because of their 'negative karma'.”
Several TV evangelists in the U.S. claimed that the hurricane hit New Orleans because of God's wrath which was evoked by the fact that “New Orleans had a history of being tolerant of homosexuals.”
Pastor John Hagee said that “Hurricane Katrina was, in fact, the judgment of God against the city of New Orleans” because “New Orleans had a level of sin that was offensive to God because there was to be a homosexual parade there.”
The right-wing political figure / Evangelical minister Franklin Graham, son of the right-wing Evangelist Billy Graham, suggested that the city was targeted because of "the city's sinful reputation," saying, "This is one wicked city, OK? It's known for Mardi Gras, for Satan worship. It's known for sex perversion. It's known for every type of drugs and alcohol and the orgies and all of these things that go on down there in New Orleans.”
Evangelical teleminister Pat Robertson said that God steered Katrina towards New Orleans because he was angry at the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for their selection of Ellen Degeneres to host the Emmy Awards. He said:
"By choosing an avowed lesbian for this national event, these Hollywood elites have clearly invited God’s wrath. Is it any surprise that the Almighty chose to strike at Miss Degeneres' hometown?"
Louis Farrakhan, leader of the Nation of Islam, suggested that the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina was divine punishment for the violence that the U.S. had inflicted on Iraq.
A Protestant pastor named Rev. Shanks suggested that - when New Orleans is rebuilt - gays, lesbians, abortion providers, and non-Christians should be not permitted to return to the city.
2. That same season, Hurricane Rita made landfall in the U.S. between Sabine Pass, Texas and Holly Beach, Louisiana after having reached wind speeds of 180 mph (290 k.p.h). A few days later, I left Texas to travel to Louisiana to conduct a 2-day retreat which some seekers there had arranged.
Along the way, I stopped at a store in the rural Louisiana town of Burkeville, Texas (population 1500 or so) and overheard an elderly woman talking to the cashier and a group of other people who were waiting in line to pay for the water and ice and other supplies they needed because their electrical power had not yet been restored.
She also claimed that, like Katrina, the hurricane was caused by a supernatural Power and said that “God is trying to tell us something and we better listen.” And all of her neighbors nodded in agreement, one further reinforcing her belief with an “Amen, Sister.”
3. Several years ago, a couple in central Louisiana said that they were moving out of their city because it had become “too damn tolerant of blacks” and was “letting them take over.” Their internet research, they said, revealed that South Carolina was one of the most “white-friendly, black-unfriendly states in the U.S. so they were going to move there,” and they did.
Yet they denied being racists, their views having been normalized during the twenty years they lived in a Louisiana community located only a few miles from the city where the KKK is still active, where trucks drive about with nooses hanging off their tailgates as a warning to blacks who would try to assert their rights, and where its racist reputation is well-known; nevertheless, their beliefs and attitudes were no different from those of their friends and families and therefore seemed quite normal.
4. Speaking of a state with a citizenry that is said to be “white-friendly and black-unfriendly," (a standing which dozens of other states in the U.S. have also earned) regular visitors to the site are familiar with South Carolina’s Dylann Roof who, on June 17, 2015, entered a prayer service at a church with mostly black members and killed nine African-Americans.
As a result of the social processes to which he was exposed, racial intolerance and hatred and a sense of superiority were normalized.
As a result of the social processes to which the Dalai Lama was exposed - including the modeling of magical thinking - he and his followers have normalized the misperception that natural events are really supernatural events.
As a result of the social processes to which she was exposed, including the modeling of magical, dogma-inspired thinking – a woman and her neighbors in a rural town in Louisiana have normalized the misperception that natural events are really supernatural events.
The symptoms of the Ultimate Sickness as identified by Maharaj have now become "the abnormal 'norm'” as a result of psychological normalization, and that is why mental health professionals are reporting astronomical rises in the rate and levels of mental illness during the last three decades.
Children manifest with a sense of the oneness – illustrated when a child first puts a face to the voice it had been hearing from the womb and feeling at one with that being – but those children are all soon taught beliefs that will generate a sense of duality. That lost sense of the oneness in most cases will never be found again. Duality, and its accompanying instability, will prevail.
And that sense of duality which is a result of the normalization of dual-mindedness will, in turn, generate arrogance and a false sense of separate-from-ment and better-than-ment; moreover, all of that will set the stage for conflict and chaos and killing and the ignorance of believing that natural things are actually supernatural things and that natural events are controlled by supernatural beings or "a Supreme Being" residing in another world.
Such distortion and ignorance and insanity is all supported by the fact that children model what they see and hear (which is the setup for being trapped in a mind that is driven by the abnormal process of normalization).
And what could be more evidentiary of three of the symptoms of the Ultimate Sickness (identified by Maharaj as “ignorance and stupidity and insanity”) than the belief that often-destructive natural events - events which happen as a result of being governed solely by the laws of nature which will always be followed - are not natural at all but are actually supernatural in their origins . . . totally generated by the obviously-capricious will of the god they worship (but also fear).

THE EXPLANATION
If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.
Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of god in the past was of a weak god, an absentee god, A Santa Claus-type god, a mean, punishing, vindictive god, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring god whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to."
The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a god that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").
Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring god,' any supposed god that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'god' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part.
"That is, a non-narcissistic their god / their goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'god' and focus on the 'god as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you."
Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:
"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"

a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record
teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium.
[That said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional courage required to question the very existence of their institution in light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of billions of their members past and present.
And that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will they? Not likely. Why?
The Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank); Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers) like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.)
With all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business, politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the driving forces at play.
The masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]
