MORE CLARIFICATIONS FROM MAHARAJ ON THE AM-NESS FROM HIS LATER TALKS
Questioner: “The description of a disease and its causes does not cures it. What we need is the right medicine.”
Maharaj: “The description and causation are the remedy for a disease caused by obtuseness and stupidity.”
Maharaj: “When you are not well, you go to a physician who tells you what is wrong and what is the remedy. If you have confidence in him, it makes things simple: you take the medicine, follow the diet restrictions, and get well.”
The challenges for those offering the Ultimate Medicine and for those seeking the Ultimate Medicine are many:
1. No one will take medicine for a sickness if they are not aware that they are sick. The case with the Ultimate Sickness, marked by “ignorance, stupidity, and insanity,” is that few among the masses will ever admit that their thoughts and words and actions are being determined and controlled and driven by “ignorance, stupidity, and insanity.”
Many are proud of their ignorance and disdain those who are “intelligent.” As for insanity, insanity can seldom recognize itself.
2. Even those who are sick might taste the medicine being offered and refuse it and even spit it out.
Been there, done that.
When I was a child, my dad kept one particular cold medicine in the cabinet which was also used to supposedly treat any and every other illness as well. It was appropriately called “666” or “The Medicine of the Beast.”
The parents in our neighborhood believed that no medicine could be effective unless (a) it tasted horrible and unless (b) it burned.
Never before or since I was given my first dose of 666 have I tasted anything so disgusting. All of the parents in our neighborhood kept a bottle on hand, and all of us children who tasted it discussed the fact that we had no idea what urine might taste like but we were pretty sure that 666 provided a clue.
It came to be that whenever we were sick and were given a spoon and told to go to the medicine cabinet in the bathroom and take either 1 or 2 or 3 spoonfuls of the medicine - the dosage depending on how sick we were deemed to be by our parents - we would actually pour the prescribed number of spoonfuls of the medicine into the spoon and then pour the contents of the spoon down the drain.
We knew we were sick, but we hated the medicine worse than the effects of the sickness.
For those suffering from the Ultimate Sickness, the same often applies. Yes, they might be miserable, but to give up their supposedly precious beliefs in order to treat the Sickness, they could not stand the taste of that approach.
3. Most will never seek because the 97% around the globe who claim to be affiliated with one religion or another believe that they were introduced by their parents to an institution and to a “holy” book which has all the answers which humankind could ever need.
4. Related to some earlier points, there are those trapped in denial about their circumstances and the state of their “mental and emotional states.”
5. And most are not even aware of “non-duality” nor the four basic methods of teachings non-duality, much less the hundreds of permutations which exist;
6. furthermore, of those who have found a guru to whom they are devoted, many of them are not even aware of the various forms of the Ultimate Medicine which their particular guru has tried to use over the years (and that includes those whose seeking has led them to focus on the pointers offered in talks by Maharaj).
For years I have only used pharmacies which have their own compounding lab. Pharmacy compounding is the art and science of preparing personalized medications for patients, and my pharmacist Dr. Kim for fifteen years has been making medicines which she compounds to meet my specific needs.
Similarly, regular visitors to this site are aware of the three compounded forms of the Ultimate Medicine which Maharaj used during the years he was sharing the Medicine.
Why did he go through three versions of the Medicine? Because he was using a trial-and-error approach. He had been told by his guru to offer one version; the Westerners who found their way to his loft influence him to use a second version; and then his own awarenesses inspired him to offer a third version when he realized that the first two were not having a lasting effect.
Early on, per his guru’s instructions, Maharaj offer a Hindu / non-dual compounded version of the Ultimate Medicine.
When Westerners began showing up in the loft and Maharaj stopped offering bhajans and turned his back on organized religion and advised people to toss the pictures of their gods into the sea and shared spiritual / non-dual combination pointers instead, the religious Hindus criticized him.
In the end, he began using a psychological / non-dual / Nisarga Yoga compounded version of the Medicine instead; then, the spiritual giants joined with the super religious persons to attack his approach.
Again, why the shifts?
All of the shifts and the evolution in methodology he used came about because he was able to see what was not working and because he was not attached to any identity such as “The Infallible Super Teacher"; therefore, he was not blocked from giving up on what was not working and then try something else;
he was able to admit that - as a long-time dispenser of a variety of versions of the Ultimate Medicine - what he had prescribed had not effectively treated long-term any of the infected seekers who came his way and who continued to suffer from the Ultimate Sickness;
he came to understand that was a fact because he came to realize that he had totally misdiagnosed the actual root source of his patients’ illness; he came to see that their illness did not come about because they had accumulated too little dogma or too little faith in a god or gods or goddesses or because they were not engaging in enough spiritual exercises or because they had not used “The Process” properly in order to find “The Supreme Self”;
he came to understand that the Ultimate Sickness was not rooted in some dreamed up concept called "a sick spirit" or "a spiritual malady; and he came to understand that concepts and beliefs regarding dogma and faith and spirituality and some grand sense of SELF-NESS only piled more garbage onto the already-huge garbage heap of the mind.
I have people contact me who have spent twenty and twenty-five and thirty years in a particular religion or self-help group or recovery program who have heard only as a slight dull whisper the inner resource which is actually screaming at the top of its lungs: “It ain’t working, fool! Try something else. Hello?! Can you hear me!? I’m in here, not out there.”
Yet they are not really coming here for a complete change or for a totally different version of Medicine which might address their Sickness.
They are merely looking for a slightly-different version of the same-old-same-old which might be “fine-tuned a little bit better” in order for them to finally get some results.
Only a warped mind could inspire one to say, "There's got to be more than this" but then . . .
continue to look for that "more" in the same place they have been looking for years without having found it there!
Few persons who are in such groups and are claiming that they have been "restored to sanity” can look objectively at their continuing self-destructive, self-defeating behaviors (which are merely of a different variety from their former self-destructive and self-defeating behaviors but are still nevertheless as destructive and defeating) and then honestly admit, "You know what? No such restoration has actually occurred at all."
Some years back, my daughter was working with a doctor whose methods were not addressing her issue. She did not unconsciously decide that she was going to give the doctor “just one more year to make me well, dammit, or I’m outta here." No. She changed doctors and methodology promptly. The change brought about the healing results which she had sought.
That is the invitation here: See “your truth”; see that the symptoms of the Ultimate Sickness are manifesting in every aspect of your existence; then make the changes necessary to find a totally different version of Medicine which might lead to healing.

THE EXPLANATION
If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.
Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of god in the past was of a weak god, an absentee god, A Santa Claus-type god, a mean, punishing, vindictive god, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring god whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to."
The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a god that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").
Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring god,' any supposed god that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'god' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part.
"That is, a non-narcissistic their god / their goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'god' and focus on the 'god as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you."
Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:
"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"

"Heaven and hell are not geographic places
but are states of mind, nothing more than
concepts dreamed up by men."

a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record
teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium.
[That said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional courage required to question the very existence of their institution in light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of billions of their members past and present.
And that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will they? Not likely. Why?
Because what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the international crime families which hold sway over the masses as criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major international crime families and which are the most influential and have the largest memberships?
The Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank); Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers) like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.)
With all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business, politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the driving forces at play.
The masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]
