DE-AWESOME-FYING NON-DUAL TERMINOLOGY
Recently, a man was overheard saying, "You know, what with covid, the current state of political affairs, and more and more class and economic separation, these are uncertain times we're living in right now."
Consider this pointer which I once shared at a retreat:
"All times are uncertain times and have always been uncertain and always will be uncertain. While nothing has been more desired by humans (and all living things) than continuity - including continuity of the consciousness and of the body and of the mind and of personas - there is actually no such thing as continuity of anything except the continuity of energy-matter which can neither be created nor destroyed."

From yesterday:
I will be offering in upcoming posts certain pointers which I have never discussed in detail or in a unified and consolidated manner. Why? Because I have witnessed that the words and writings of so many seekers and self-identified "non-dualists" are so far off the mark and thereby block realizing, understanding, abiding with “one’s feet firmly planted on the ground” and being freed from living in a dreamy, supposedly-lofty but irrational, illogical, foolish, silly, ungrounded, eccentric, "I'm dropping out and becoming totally alienated from reality" manner.
The invitation is to “de-awesome-fy” what so many seekers (and Super Seekers) have been programmed and conditioned to believe are surely among the “awesome concepts” which they should spend all of their energy researching and seeking to understand.
Some of the dreamy, supposedly-lofty but irrational, illogical, foolish, silly, and ungrounded, eccentric concepts call for clarification and include these three which will be discussed today along with the many others listed yesterday:
Continuity (to be discussed today)
and
Realization and Self-Realization (to be discussed tomorrow).
CONTINUITY
It is one thing for birds in the back yard to fly away from me when I approach because of the automatic response always inspired by the manifested conscious-energy / consciousness which desires, above all else, continuity; it is quite another thing for humans to buy into the tales told for 5000 years or more that their hopes and desires for continuity are achievable.
That “promise” by religious and / or spiritual leaders does have one caveat, namely the forewarning that their eternal continuity will be marked either by constant blissfulness or by constant mental anguish and constant physical pain.
The realized are aware that the promise is nonsense. This thing currently called “Floyd” is nothing more than a three-part composite unity consisting of (1) an elemental plant food body which provides the space wherein (2) conscious-energy and (3) oxygen can both be circulated. All three parts are constantly coming and going because elements and the air and the consciousness have no continuity during the manifestation.
The skin, for example, is replaced every twenty-eight days; the air is replaced every few seconds; and the conscious-energy comes and goes as well. That is why humans eat: the food is the transporter of conscious-energy, but it only remains for a limited period within any composite unity.
When mahasamadhi is taken, the elements will return to the universal pool of elements; the oxygen will return to the universal pool of oxygen; and the conscious-energy will return to the universal pool of conscious-energy.
Such is the play of the Second Law of Thermodynamics which explains that everything which comes together will eventually come apart; thus, there is no such thing as continuity, either during the relative existence or during the period of the post-manifestation.
After the taking of mahasamadhi, the elements will exist but they will be no longer be forming a space called “Floyd.” During the manifestation, they only formed that space temporarily anyway, without any continuity, as the body elements have always come and gone throughout the past seventy-four years;
additionally, the same air is not breathed during the existence and the same air will never be breathed post-manifestation;
and
the conscious-energy will exist forever, but the ever-cycling specks or quantities of that energy which have come and gone for decades into and out of that temporarily-manifested space will most assuredly never be in that space again. Why? Because that space will no longer exist post- manifestation.
So wherefore all the talk of “continuity” and “the eternal” and “eternity”? Where does that come from? It comes from the ignorance and insanity which is passed on to all humans via warped and bogus and nonsensical programming, conditioning, domestication, acculturation, brainwashing and indoctrination.
So what’s the takeaway from understanding that the continuity which humans desire and work to supposedly attain (and to supposedly assure will be available forever post-manifestation) is a totally fictional concept?
The takeaway is a new appreciation for the AM-ness and the NOW-ness; a focus on the IS-ness and not on the mythical belief in “eternal-continuity”;
and
a commitment to enjoy the present and forget about the false concept of “eternal existence”;
and
the (freedom-and-peace-giving) understanding that humans cannot possibly have an iota of influence over what will happen automatically and spontaneously and naturally (not supernaturally / not spiritually) after the manifestation.
