Above All: Be Love, But Then Live
In An “As If” Fashion So That You Can Enjoy Love As A Relative Expression Of
ABSOLUTE, REAL LOVE As Well
(Part Seven: Loving Without Any Object Of Your Love)
To abandon authenticity and replace that with a host of false personality
identifications (for the sake of self-ish pleasures, for relative gains, for
self-satisfaction, for self-indulgence, for self-seeking, for self-centered
desires) is to abandon any and all opportunity to be free, independent,
fulfilled, contented, and at peace.
To be in touch with that which is authentic is to be in touch with the essence
in all of its following forms:
The essence of food, which is Consciousness;
The essence of liberation, which is freedom from personality;
The essence of the Absolute, which is Awareness;
The essence of this existence, which is knowing and being the Oneness, the True
Love, and Wisdom;
The essence of the Oneness, which is a “no-relationship relationship,” the
transcendence of the false belief in two (in an “A” and a “B”) alongside the
understanding of “Advaita” . . . of “not-two”;
The essence of beingness via realization;
The essence of authenticity via realization;
and
The essence of full realization, which is independence, freedom, happiness,
joy, and bliss.
Originally, you were at home - the original home being your original nature and
your present home being abidance in a state of authenticity. Neither is a “place”
that has anything to do with anything personal. Here, the invitation is offered
Lovingly and lovingly: come home. Come back to your original nature. Abide naturally.
When the poet wrote an ode on “Intimations of Immortality,” or when Advaitins
discuss “The Nectar of Immortality,” the use of the term “immortality” refers
to nothing with even the slightest trace of personhood. It refers only to the
essence that you are invited to find, to understand, to relish, to be
[Once
Yeshu’a (“Jesus”) was exposed to non-dual pointers, he explained it this way: “No
shall ever see a ‘kingdom of heaven’; it is within, now,” mean “now to those
that realize. And what did Maharaj say in the end that realization is? It is a
state marked by truth and authenticity . . .
a state in which one abides if one rejects all beliefs and all learned ignorance.
In conclusion, in order to understand what True Love is in the relative
existence, several prerequisites exist:
1. As in all instances of traveling the Advaita “path” to truth, all
currently-held concepts and ideas and beliefs (in this case, about “what love
is”) must be seen to be false and must be abandoned in order for the truth to
be seen.
2. The false must be seen, but that alone does not allow the truth to be known;
thus, all of the steps in “The Four-Step Journey to Reality” that are required
to reach an understanding of truth and authenticity must be completed if True
Love is to be known.
3. All sense of duality must be abandoned, along with all past programming that
has led to the belief in subject-object delusions.
4. In forfeiting all belief in the Subject-Object illusion, the realized can be
free of the concept of “personal relationship” and can understand that anything
thought to be “personal” is about nothing more than a persona (the false self);
can
understand that the false self can know no truth at all; can know the unicity
rather than the duality; can understand Advaita’s “not two”; and can therefore
understand the falsehood of the concepts of “relating” and “relationship.”
5. For the understandings in #4 above to manifest, then all ego-states
(personas, false identities, and roles) must be abandoned, and that cannot
happen without completing the journey referenced in #2 above.
To know the real is to be able to differentiate between the “I” in “I AM” and
the energy-matter which has always been and to understand there is no “I-ness”
either pre-manifestation or post-manifestation. To understand that you are Love
is to know that I AM Love.
Everything is matter / energy. Love is energy. You, in the relative, are matter sustained by energy, Love being one of those energies for some.
Today,
if I tell you “I Love you,” the truth behind those words is in the
understanding that Love is not an action verb. It is only a noun. It indicates
that I understand what I presently AM, and that you are that, too; it is also
to understand what was before the present state of AM-NESS which humans can be
aware of when manifested as a composite unity of elements, air, and conscious-energy.
Sane, I shall not behave in a destructive manner. Sane, I cannot harm you for
you are me. Anything which is not the no-identity you and the no-identity me is
illusion and is not Love.
Love is that knowing, knowing I AM everything. For persons / personas, (false) “love” is about body desires and perceived needs stored in the “mind” after cultural programming and conditioning.
Thus,
because “the mind” is conditioned, “love” in the relative is always
conditional, always self-seeking (in spite of claims to the contrary), and
always driven by agendas that are hidden from the one playing the role of “the
lover” as well as from the one accepting the label of “the loved.”
Both are ego-states, and persons trapped in their egotism can never know truth.
Ego, by definition, is the “false I.” That which is false can never know truth.
Love is unconditional. What a conditioned person knows about Love is as far
removed from reality as authenticity is removed from the false roles played out
by ego-states.
Only the authentic - which can be understood as a result of the pure, universal
consciousness having been purged of all of the effects of programming and
conditioning and domestication and acculturation and indoctrination and
brainwashing and that is, thus, once again functioning as “pure, universal
consciousness” (as “pure witnessing”) - can understand True Love.
Only in the relative can Love be understood, and that understanding can only
happen via pure witnessing. All beliefs held by personas about what “love” is
are merely more falsehoods taken to be truth by those absorbed in ego-states,
in body identification, and in the trap of “the mind” (which is nothing more
than the storehouse of all lies and misconceptions and falsehoods passed on via
the culture).
If you realize that all of the above is factual, you are likely realized. If
you are willing to consider that the above is fact, then you are moving along
the path toward full awareness.
If
you find the pointers above to be anathema, then more remains to be understood
about ego and ego-states and about the differentiation between Real Love and
Love Expressed as love and the (false) “love” which the masses talk of.
It is True Love that knows no difference, that sees no difference, that
imagines no multiplicity, and that imagines no ego (false “I’s”) to be true;
therefore, the truth makes clear that no separation exists. The realized understand
the unicity, and understanding the unicity, and being the Oneness, is the only
means by which the bliss can manifest consistently.
The masses in the U.S. are presently “stumped” - confused, bewildered, puzzled, and baffled - by recent events in the city of Memphis.
The masses were “thrown a curve ball” from the typical status quo whereby black-skinned, unarmed persons are gunned down by white-skinned police: Kwame Jones, William Green, Jaquyn Light, Leonard Parker, Jr., Manuel Lewis, Donnie Sanders,
Breonna Taylor, Fred Brown, Denzel Taylor, Maurice Gordon, George Floyd, William Burgess III, Julian Lewis, Anthony Jones, Andre Hill, Patrick Warren, Jenoah Donald, Daunte Wright,
Andrew Brown, Jr., Latoya James, Renardo Green, Frederick Holder, Michael Brown, and Tyre Nichols to name but a few of the 1000+ blacks shot by the police in the U.S. in recent years.
But the newsmakers are usually white cops who gunned down unarmed blacks. Now, in Memphis, the newsmakers are five black police officers that beat Tyre - an unarmed black-skinned man - to death.
“What the heck is going on?” is the question that no one is answering accurately. The realized, as noted above, “see no difference.”
Relatively speaking, there is no difference in black killer cops and white killer cops. As noted here for years, there are just cops . . . sociopathic and psychopathic cops. The masses don’t get that.
The issue is not the skin color of the people pulling the trigger. The issue is the mental state of people who are given permission to use a weapon with a trigger in the first place.
Discussions presently are centered on how to keep guns out of the hands of insane people. Well . . . .
The realized comedian / social commentator George Carlin riffed on police brutality and corruption, offering a blistering indictment of crooked cops.
“When I was a kid and we went to the movies, we rooted against the police and for the crooks - and I still do,” he starts out.
“They’ll plant fake evidence and they’ll put a gun in the hands of an unarmed man they shot to death. They harass minorities, they brutalize people, they deny people their rights, and they lie about it all in court all the time.”
His recommendation: “They ought to have two new requirements for being on the police force: intelligence and decency! You never can tell, it might just work; it certainly hasn’t been tried yet.”
Regarding the treatment of Abner Louima while in police custody: “I'm gettin' a little tired of hearing that after six policemen get arrested for shoving a floor lamp [inside some black guy] and ripping his intestines out, the police department announces they’re gonna have ‘sensitivity training’.”
I say, “Hey, if you need special training to be told not to jam a large, cumbersome object [inside someone], maybe you're too f***ed up to be on the police force in the first place.”
So part of the problem is that so many of them “see a difference,” be it skin color, economic status, living in a ghetto . . . whatever; but the real problem comes before those people are armed and given carte blanche to use their guns as they see fit, placed on the streets to patrol, and given a pass when they gun down a member of the group they see as “the other.”
The
problem is rooted in the main element of their standard, shoddy hiring procedure. Former members of the military
are given priority when hiring police. Geez, wonder how that single-criteria approach
might cause a problem?
Police are being hired from the retired members of an institution whose chief focus was to program them to “identify the enemy and then seek out and destroy the enemy.”
If the person in HR in a police force allowed me to administer to their applicants the personality inventory test I use, I could analyze the results and identify each potential sociopath and / or psychopath and identify the level of their personality disorder on a scale of 1 to 100.
I did that for many HR departments when businesses hired me to screen applicants; they saw a vast reduction in on-site problems when the sociopaths and psychopaths were eliminated from consideration right up front.
I could also give police HR departments a 1 to 100 ranking of an applicant’s level of empathy, caring, a true desire to help, and her or his level of stability (or lack thereof).
But
as long as police departments that are plagued with the duality-based belief in
“different-from-ment and “better-than-ment” continue to look to the military as
their primary feeder source, the bullets will continue to fly and people will
continue to die and the citizens in cities all across the U.S. will continue to
be deprived of community improvement funds because they are paying billions of
dollars annually to settle lawsuits brought on by the families that are suing the city administrators that protect their trigger-happy cops instead of their citizens in general.
The non-dual relevancy?
Most problems among the masses are rooted in
duality-based beliefs
and
personality disorders.
So, too, are the problems with the cops being allowed to kill unarmed people.
No wonder the sages for centuries have focused on those two issues and on working to eliminate them.
