Mary’s Story, Part Five
What
do the non-realized have in common with Mary?
1. both are out of touch with Reality (with the eternal THAT)
2. both are out of touch with reality (with the temporary AM-ness)
3. both are in the throes of their personality disorders, rendering them
psychically unhealthy
4. both are detached as opposed to functioning in a non-attached manner
5. both are unable to make conscious choices
6. both have forfeited independence
7. both are absolutely dependent, Mary on attendants, the non-realized on their
co-dependent counterpart players that are required for ego-states to play out
their assumed roles and to believe that they are real, and
8. for both it is as if past patterns of dormancy-between-periods-of-activity
have been replaced by an unending, uninterrupted, continuous diapause
C. What do those claiming to be abiding as “THAT only” have in common with
Mary?
1. both “went away” - went “out there” - but did not come back
2. neither has completed all three legs of the three-leg “journey” and “come in”;
then “gone back” in the same fashion by which they came in - except in reverse
order; and then “come back in” and then been fully in touch with Reality (I AM
THAT) and reality (I AM)
D. How do the fully realized differ from Mary?
1. only the fully realized have completed the third leg
2. both live in a no-place place, but the fully realized are not out of touch
with the reality of the relative existence . . . of the IS-ness
A CONSIDERATION PRIOR TO READING THE UPCOMING POSTINGS
“Evil”?
Or insane? Fortunately, there is no such thing as evil, just insanity. Why
fortunate?
Because
(a) neither religion nor spiritually nor praying has ever had any impact at all
on eliminating “evil,” but some professionals and some teachers HAVE had an
impact on eliminating insanity
and because
(a) the 8,000,000,000 on the planet who claim to pray daily (or even many times
per day)
along with
(b) their single god that has supposedly been in charge for eternity, or
along with
(c) thousands of gods and goddesses that people have turned to for the last
5000 years
have all failed to reduce, control, or stamp out that which they call “evil in
the world” to even the slightest degree.
In fact, the followers of the “good” god (or gods and goddesses) cannot claim
that they have even battled to a draw in their fight with the “bad god of
darkness.”
On the other hand, I have seen some who were suffering from such serious mental
conditions that their depression had driven them to a state of suicide, who
were admitted to a treatment facility, and who were released - in a relatively
brief period of time - in a far more sane condition than when they were
admitted.
If your options are “evil” vs. “insane” when you seek “cause,” the odds are
that (1) some trained professionals (and some non-duality teachers) can far
better address insanity than (2) other worldly Powers can address “evil.”
That is especially clear when you understand Maharaj’s pointer that no god
created humankind but that humans created (dreamed up) a god or gods and
goddesses, so to depend on a mirage or mirages to end global pain and misery
and suffering is itself insane.
Meanwhile, one who is sane will not walk about claiming that she / he has found
“The Good News” when “The Good News Solution” has a multi-thousand-year track
record of failure as far as providing a solution to humanity’s pain and misery
and suffering, and, yes, ignorance and insanity to boot.
(Note: It doesn’t count when persons claim that their religion or spiritual
program has “made them happy” when it has not made them sane. Some crazy people
are as happy as can be, and some insane people claiming that they are happy ...
are not.)
Back to “The Good News.” The observable fact is that their “Good News” is the
key source of ignorance and insanity and is the primary means by which
ignorance and insanity are sustained.
Yet the experience here is that - without a single exception - every one of the fundamental, ideological types who have heard the invitation to look at insanity as the possible motivator of all that they call “evil” . . . rather than “evil” itself . . . has rejected that invitation outright . . . and instantly. So it is. More on that to come.
CAUSATION and RELATIVE EVENTS AND BEHAVIORS: “Evil?” Or Ignorance, Stupidity, and Insanity?
It was noted earlier that, without a single exception, every one of the fundamental, ideological types who have heard the invitation to consider insanity (rather than “evil people” or “a god of evil”) as the possible motivator of all that they call “evil” have all rejected that invitation outright.
Some time back, an Ultra-Christian woman became very upset when her Bible-based belief in the duality of “good vs. evil” was questioned. She was quite sure that “Satan is at work in the world.”
She became convinced that the intent here was to deceive her when it was
explained that in the original Hebrew, “satan” was a verb, not a noun to be
used to name “an evil entity.” The verb merely meant, “to oppose” or “to
obstruct.”
It was not until the mid-300’s A.D. at Nicea that the men who rewrote what was
originally deemed to be the “infallible Holy Scriptures” changed the verb “satan”
to a noun, capitalized it, and used that noun as a personal identifier of “The
Adversary of God.”
(The
same crowd took the name of the pagan “Lord of the Flies” or “The God of
Insects” - specifically, “Beelzebub” - and made that synonymous with “Satan” as
well.)
Maharaj explained that the concept of “God” was dreamed up by men, and it
should be clear from the above that the concept of Satan was also dreamed up by
men, yet billions upon billions have believed from that time to this that there
is “evil in the world” and it is inspired by Satan;
therefore,
when persons are looking for “the cause” of this or that “evil” event or “the
cause” of this or that “evil” behavior, if those persons are supernatural,
magical thinkers, they will turn to Satan-generated “evil” as the cause.
(First, it should be understood that Maharaj made clear that the cause of all
is . . . all. There is no single cause for anything, so there is no Prime
Causer either because, again, men just made up that concept, too.)
Relatively speaking, though, as one goes back to the more recent roots of any
given person or event that is taken to be “wicked,” the question can be asked:
Is this event, or is a certain behavior, rooted in “evil,” or is it possible that it is rooted in insanity?
