THE MASSES DO NOT COMPREHEND THE WAYS THAT FALSE PERSONALITY IDENTIFICATIONS CONTROL THEIR THOUGHTS AND WORDS AND ACTIONS AND DO NOT UNDERSTAND THAT THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS BODY OR “SELF” CONTINUITY EITHER
Over the past months, I have been confronted by several Catholics who believe that “the greatest institution in the history of the planet” has been unfairly attacked.
I ask if they learned that Exxon executives had been exposed since the company’s earliest days with child molestation and child murder and the cover up of those crimes throughout the history of the organization, would they still support it and give their money to support it?
Not likely. So why, with all the evidence of that happening in their church and in every quarter of organized religion, do they support that behavior?
I then advice that they not give me an answer because they do not know the slightest clue about why they are doing what they doing while I understand completely.
The primary trait of the manifested consciousness is its desire for continuity, to be as long as possible now and to then to be forever. Believing that their religion is the agent which can guarantee them continuity, they are quite willing to allow that agency to molested and murdered children in order to stay in the good graces of the church and its leaders.
The subconscious agenda of the conscious-energy temporarily manifested within their elemental body, combined with the agenda of their persona of “The Super Religious One” and / or “The Spiritual Giant” inspire then to believe unconsciously, “To hell with the children - what about ME?!”
Yesterday’s post ended with this:
Persons abiding under the influence of
personality do what they are driven to do and to say what they are driven to
say. They are not choosing. But the insanity of that is that they are driven by
false identities, by mirages, and the result is insane thoughts and insane
words and insane actions.
What might be “the answer”? What is “the cure”? Could it rest with one of the
following five possibilities? Those will be discussed tomorrow.
1. Might the answer rest with nationally or globally published authors who are
the very ones that Maharaj called “Big Name Teachers” and warned his visitors
to avoid? No. They are blending dualistic concepts into their writings to
create popular appeal.
2. Might the answer rest with nationally or globally famous lecturers who are
the very ones that Maharaj called “Big Name Teachers” and warned his visitors
to avoid? No. They are blending dualistic concepts into their talks to create
popular appeal.
3. Might the answer rest with an internationally-operating spiritual program
that is run by non-professionals who have no training whatsoever at addressing
its membership’s severe mental and emotional issues but who claim instead that “being
spiritual” cures mental illness? That possibility has already been addressed
and dismissed, having been shown to have failed miserably by their actual
results.
4. Might the answer rest with the organized religions that are operating around
the globe with 97% of the planet’s population reporting an affiliation with one
of those organizations?
With billions involved in those religions, but with
billions nevertheless ignorant or “stupid” or “insane” (to use Maharaj’s
categories), it should be obvious that organized religions are not providing
the cure for global insanity.
[Consider: in November of 2012, a series discussed “The Top Ten Sources of The
Ultimate Sickness,” and it was shown that #1 on the list was “religion.”]
5. Or might the answer rest with an entity that could potentially have the
ability to address insanity when it manifests on a colossal, nationwide basis
(as is the case in most nations nowadays), an entity with national resources,
such as a national government?
Are governments taking on the task? Obviously not. Why? Calloused dictatorships
notwithstanding, are the so-called “democracies” addressing the issue?
Obviously not. Why?
For one thing, insane people elect insane officials to
represent them, and then decisions affecting millions are made by persons who
are also suffering from the insanity that marks the Ultimate Sickness.
Now, note the linkage with #4 and #5: What does religion have to do with
government? Consider: what, obviously, is going to result when the most
religious persons in a nation are also the persons elected to governmental
positions, setting the stage for their religious beliefs to define government
policy?
The governmental leaders who are suffering from the
Ultimate Sickness will form a government which also suffers from the Ultimate
Sickness. All of that government’s actions will be totally insane as
well.
And does the Ultimate Sickness want to eliminate itself, whether on an
individual level or on a group level or on a federal government level? Never.
That is why non-dual guides have long recommended that “individualized” seeking
be the preferred method of seeking as far as the non-dual understanding is
concerned.
Maharaj clearly stated that the non-dual message is not
for the masses and should not be presented on a public stage. (Again, so much
for the practices of the ones Maharaj called “The Big Name Teachers.”)
So note the failure of # 5 - government - to address the spread of insanity. In
what some call “developed countries” with supposedly well-organized health care
systems, in the nations that were studied, 44% to 70% of patients with
depression, schizophrenia, alcohol-abuse disorders and child and adolescent
mental illnesses do not receive treatment. In what some call “developing
countries,” the treatment gap is likely to be closer to 90% for those
disorders.
In theocracies where religion controls the national government (and that
includes the United States nowadays) the national government subsidizes
religion. In the U.S., the national government gives seventy-one billion
dollars to organized religion every year via tax breaks.
How much does that same government contribute toward the treatment of mental health issues annually? Six billion dollars.
The movement to defund mental health spending began in
Texas under George Bush and has continued to this day, copied by one uncaring
state government after another.
Thus, annually, the federal government in the U.S. spends eleven times more on
religion than on addressing mental health issues.
And that means that in the U.S., every citizen is contributing to the costs of
religion because tax breaks are given to persons who make financial
contributions to religious organizations, yet the entire citizenry must carry
the tax burden for religious organizations while the entire citizenry could
benefit far more if their tax dollars were being used to address
insanity.
Moreover, it means that the federal government is spending eleven times more on
religious organizations that perpetuate some of the most insane beliefs ever
than it is spending via mental healthcare organizations that offer treatment
for insanity.
The point? Seekers cannot count on any entity to address ignorance and
insanity, verified by looking at the record of famous authors, famous
lecturers, spiritual programs, religious organizations, or governments.
None of those are addressing the issue, so Maharaj’s
final “guesstimate” was that - even among seekers - only 1 in 10,000,000 would
ever realize fully and be free of “ignorance, stupidity, and insanity.”
Yet if persons were never to understand “That Which They Are,” consider how
very different the relative existence would be if persons were at least sane
enough to understand everything that they are not.
This was shared earlier: Yet if persons were never to

existence would be if persons were at least sane enough to understand
everything that they are not.
What is more insane than not knowing who (or more accurately “what”) you are,
as is seemingly the case with Mary and as is actually the case with every non-realized
person on the planet?
Persons around the globe are suffering a multiplicity of personality disorders
because they have assumed multiple personas / false identities, and one of the
more commonly occurring disorders as far an non-duality is concerned is
dissociation, a term in psychology describing a condition that can cover a
continuum involving a mild detachment from one’s immediate surroundings to a
more severe detachment from all awareness.
A major characteristic involves a detachment from reality
- rather than a loss of reality (such as the case with psychotics). Such is the
case with the masses: they do not have a clue who (or “what”) they are, and
that is total craziness.
Therefore, it can be inferred that Maharaj - in suggesting that only a few on
the planet will ever be realized at any given time - is making clear that most
are dissociated and that most are trapped in a sense of WHO-ness without any
clue that there is no “personal who” (or “Personal Who”) at all.
There is only “what,” so there is only an invitation to find “what is” rather
than “who is.” And what is that which is mistaken for “a who”?
A composite unity of an elemental plant food body,
circulating air and temporarily housing conscious-energy. And in that triad,
only the air is constant because body elements are being cycled and so is the
conscious-energy.
The answer to the non-dual question - “Where were you prior to conception?” -
is understood by few. Most persons believe they eat because they are hungry and
do not really have a clue about why all living things must eat. The reason?
Because everything in the relative existence is involved
in cycling . . . in things coming together and things coming apart. (See “The
Second Law of Thermodynamics” for details.)
When my daughter Ashley was young, she asked a question that came to her after
a lesson on digestion in her science class that day. She asked, “How can the
stomach acids dissolve a piece of steak without also dissolving the stomach?”
The reply: “They can’t. The stomach’s acids liquefy whatever is in the stomach,
including the stomach itself, so the cells that make up your stomach are
replaced every two to four days. Every two to four days, you have a different
stomach.”
(There could be an effort to describe the look on her face, but words would
fail in the attempt.)
When someone says, “I have a stomachache,” they are speaking as if they have
had that one stomach all of their lives, but a thirty-year-old has actually had
about 3,600 stomachs.
Skin cells have a “life span” of about two to four weeks, so when you look at a
person you saw a month ago, you are not seeing the same body at all.
(Persons who are unaware of these facts can look at a chronology of school
pictures from first grade to twelfth grade, can see major shifts in physical
appearance, yet can still believe that the twelfth grader is the same “person”
as the first grader. In fact, there is no such thing as body continuity, even
in the relative, much less after mahasamadhi is taken.)
And there is no personal continuity either as roles (personas) are constantly
being assumed and then replaced by other roles. (E.g. more than half the time
the role of “spouse” will eventually be replaced by the role of an “ex”.)
Other cells in the digestive tract are also being replaced (that is, cycling),
as are reproductive cells.
If one did not eat, then there would be no plant food cells transforming into
human body cells, so one would “die” as a result of the skin and stomach and
other cells not being replaced.
Now, if persons do not know that their body today is not the same body they had
earlier or two days ago or four days ago or a month ago, they surely do not
understand that the specks of conscious-energy within are not the same specks
that were within the body-cum-consciousness earlier.
And because persons do not even understand the most basic of the biological
principles that are at play within the elemental plant food body, then persons
are surely not aware of the mental games that are at play in their programmed
and conditioned and acculturated and domesticated and brainwashed and
indoctrinated minds.
