The Maintenance Costs and Maintenance Expenses Connection with False Identifications

Investopedia: “The term maintenance expense refers to any cost incurred by an individual or business to keep their assets in good working condition.”

Because maintenance costs and maintenance expenses are separate from the original purchase price, the wise calculate the estimated maintenance costs and move ahead with a purchase or arrangement only if they are confident that they can afford both an original investment plus all of the future costs of maintaining what they have acquired or arranged.

Next month, this composite unity called “floyd” will have witnessed its parts coming and going for 76 years. Its maintenance was handled during its yearly years by two parents who were not especially diligent with that task. Seldom was medical care which was obviously being called was arranged.

Moreover, the faulty mental and emotional and psychological aspects passed down left me with a “broken picker.” In terms of what I “arranged,” I never estimated or tried to calculate what the maintenance costs might possibly be.

That broken picker had me buying houses built by incompetent, crooked builders; had me buying cars that might have “looked good” but were lemons; had me accepting dead end jobs; and had me entering into relationships which in total became the largest expense of all. That includes monetary, mental, emotional, and physical costs.

Typically, those among the non-realized masses never factor in the potential maintenance costs involved with what they buy or arranged. It’s almost always like that “Full speed ahead, damn the torpedoes” exclamation by David Farragut, an officer in the Union navy in the Civil War, when warned of mines, called torpedoes, in the water ahead. Farragut is said to have commented, “Damn the torpedoes! Captain Drayton, go ahead! Jouett, full speed!”

Investopedia: “How much an individual pays in maintenance expenses depends on the type of asset and how often upkeep is required and performed. Individuals may incur maintenance costs for homes, automobiles, appliances, and electronics, while businesses pay for maintenance on their fixed assets - vehicles, equipment, facilities - and their technology.

“Keeping up to date with regular maintenance can keep costs down because the asset is serviced on a timely basis. Neglecting assets and waiting until the last minute to service them may result in higher maintenance costs. If the asset isn't maintained at all, the owner may have to replace it altogether.”

While many of my most bone-headed miscalculations involved physical “stuff” which proved to be high maintenance, the more costly circumstances which came about did not involve concrete, physical items such as houses, cars, etc.

No, the case here was that the most costly mistakes involved (1) other humans - who were, admittedly, also functioning under the influence of their own broken pickers - and (2) involved the effects of trying to maintain the costly, false identities which had been assigned or which I had assumed.  

Looking back over the toll of what was often a “path of relative destruction,” the funds which went out for the maintenance of “stuff” were minimal when compared to the costs of role playing and image maintenance.

Now some may ask, “Why did you decide to keep getting into arrangements with high maintenance people?” Those asking such a question have totally failed to comprehend non-duality’s core message regarding ego-state assumption / role-playing / image building / false identification preservation / etc.

When false identifications are controlling thoughts and words and actions - which they do if present - then there is no deciding. There is only being driven, and when being driven, there is only one speed available: full speed ahead.

It was noted earlier that . . .

“Love is not blind; it is color-blind. It cannot see red flags being waved right before its very eyes.”

And that can apply to persons or to false ego-states. Why? Because humans love their false identities. They will spend a fortune trying to keep them, sustain them, retain them. They will fight for them. They will even die - or kill - in their efforts to maintain them. That is exactly what Mark, who was discussed in previous posts, did.

It has been reported by financial advisors that “The three largest budget items for the average U.S. household are food, transportation, and housing.”

No argument there. But the largest items of all are the expenses involved with false identity maintenance.

At the core of every ego-state is egotism, and egotism-generated “bigshotism” has probably drained more bank accounts than any maintenance cost of anything concrete and physical (like cars and houses).

While more couples nowadays are sharing expenses, that is a relatively new concept. And what are the key factors involved in expensive breakups or divorces?

#3: In-laws

#2: Sex

#1: Money

Let a fellow get caught paying money to have sex with a sister-in-law and he will have likely hit the “Financial Ruin Trifecta.”

Let a fellow assume the role of “The One Who Always Has to Have the Best-Looking Woman in the Room on His Arm” and he may well come to experience the cost of high maintenance first hand.

Let a woman marry a man because she is convinced that he is “The One Who Is Going to Give Her Eternal Love and Never-Ending Companionship and Perfect Children and Delightful Motherhood Experiences and Great Convenience and Financial Support Forever” and she may find that her beliefs rooted in the ego-states she's playing may have fooled her on all counts. Accepting the false identities which relationships will generate can take an even greater toll.

The broken picker which blindly drove me for years was rooted in the false agendas of the roles I was playing, and since each role has a basic fear and a basic desire, then fears and desires became the unconscious driving forces behind everything that I did, just as the case is with so many humans.

And to be driven by the unconscious forces of false personal identifications will often prove to be the most debilitating of all factors.

Maintenance costs of all else are irrelevant when compared to the overall, combined toll of accepting the high number of false identifications which subconsciously drive the thoughts and words and actions of non-realized persons whose programming, conditioning, etc. turn them into puppets.

And while a young child might look at a puppet and think it is choosing to do whatever it is supposedly doing, the fact is that puppets are unconscious objects with humans pulling their strings. Such is also the case with most humans on the planet.

The mental and emotional costs to persons who allow both other humans as well as the mirages stored in their minds to control them can supersede any financial costs that will ever be faced.

THE EXPLANATION

If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.

Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of god in the past was of a weak god, an absentee god, A Santa Claus-type god, a mean, punishing, vindictive god, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring god whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to."

The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a god that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").

Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring god,' any supposed god that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'god' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part.

"That is, a non-narcissistic their god / their goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'god' and focus on the 'god as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you." 

Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:

"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"

and 

"Heaven and earth shall fade away."

--Yeshu'a (Jesus)

and 

"Heaven and hell are not geographic places

but are states of mind, nothing more than

concepts dreamed up by men."

--Pope John Paul II 

"There is no hell."

--Pope Francis, the current pope

in an interview with journalist Eugenio Scalfari,

a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record

teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium.

[That said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional courage required to question the very existence of their institution in light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of billions of their members past and present.

And that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will they? Not likely. Why?

Because what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the international crime families which hold sway over the masses as criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major international crime families and which are the most influential and have the largest memberships?

The Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank); Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers) like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.)

With all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business, politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the driving forces at play.

The masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]
