“After the information given to you by the mother, that you are a boy or girl, all your further acquisitions [false identities] are by hearsay.”

Years ago, a fellow who was on a “speakers’ circuit”) said he was told by one of his friends that he had just heard the clearest explanation ever regarding the assigning and assuming and functioning of ego-states / false identities and the way that they are the curse of humankind.

He was told by the friend that had heard me speak to a group of “seekers” when I had offered the explanation if I would share with him what his friends had heard.  

I began by identifying the seven basic desires which drive humankind’s every thought and word and action:

the desire for body continuity / safety / protection as well as eternal consciousness / life

the desire / drive for water, food and sex

the desire for financial security (either earned or given)

the desire for the agendas of all assumed body, mind, and personalities identifications (ego-states) to be met

the desire for love and / or admiration and / or respect and / or esteem and / or approval

the desire for control

the desire for power.

Then I explained how every assigned or assumed false identification has a basic fear and a basic desire but also has to one degree or another all of those seven desires.

I gave as an example the ego-state of “The Husband” who wants physiological continuity / eternal life; who wants sex and the stuff of body sustenance; who wants financial security;

who wants the subconscious agenda of “The Husband” to be met (including “The Wife” staying with him forever); who wants love and admiration and respect and esteem and approval from “The Wife”; 

who wants to be able to control her; and, therefore, who wants the power required to be able to control her (and everything else) and to see that all of the others desires of “The Husband” are met as well.

Then I explained that by the age of 35-40, almost every human has been assigned or has assumed 70 to 80 false identities / ego-state as identities and believed - in every case - that those were real.

Finally, I explained that each false identity / alter ego / product of the Dissociative Identity Disorder has “a voice” which talks to each persona all day long - often on an unconscious level - and determines every thought that is thought, every word that is spoken, and every action that is taken.

(I also pointed out the delusion that comes with such circumstances, namely, the delusion that persons are making conscious choices when they not doing so at all.)

As for the voices: I showed him that if a person has been assigned or has assumed 80 false identities as being real to one degree or another, and if each of those 80 false identities has a voice, and if each has 7 desires operating, then at any given moment there can be 560 concerns which are being bounced around in the fiction-filled, ego-state-filled mind.

[Thus, Maharaj said that “There is no such thing as peace of mind”; I modified that to report that “There is no such thing as peace of mind; there is only peace if you are out of your mind.”]

At times, the most concerned voices (that is, the voices of the ego-states which might feel as if they are being hurt or interfered with or threatened and feel as if their desires are about to be shattered) will come to the forefront and the person will be conscious of those concerns more than others;

nevertheless, all of the ego-states’ “voices” never stop talking and are constantly expressing their concerns consciously or unconsciously on a continuous loop.

I then showed him how, if persons’ manifestations extend to a longer-than-usual length, it is possible for them to collect some 1000 voices which are forever playing at one volume or another.

I said, “Then, persons can be said to be distracted by the chatter of a thousand monkeys residing between their ears.”

He almost fell out of his chair laughing. Then he said, “When I come across something like that which resonates so well, I give credit to my source the first time I use it from the podium. After that, it’s mine, so you can expect credit only once. Ha.”

I said, “Whatever. Humans hear and repeat stuff every day. Rock and roll.”

Now consider why the few wise non-dual guides have long focused on the curse of identifications. Consider why so many of those have invited millions if not billions to be free of the effects of the Dissociative Identity Disorder;

and

to be free of the effects of assuming or accepting assigned false identities as real; to cast aside their belief in every phony role, façade, character, persona, individual, image, guise, front, face, etc.

Consider also how the musical The Phantom of the Opera rings true with audiences around the globe, making it the longest running show in Broadway history and a musical which has been seen by over 140 million people in 163 cities across 41 countries.

Related to today’s topic, the lyrics of the song which opens the second act of the play send the very message which wise non-dual guides have shared.

It is entitled, “Masquerade” / Why So Silent?” referring to a false show or pretense (which accurately describes exactly what is happening globally as pretense plays out in “The Theatre of the Lie” which is what the typical life of the non-realized amounts to.) Consider the non-dual pointers in the following lyrics:

Scores and scores of non-dual pointers are contained therein, right up to the key line which makes clear that it you are assuming false identities, alter egos, images, personal identifications, etc., as actual identifications and the real, then you will be in chains . . . bound by the chains of nonsense stored in the garbage-filled mind.

As noted here on occasion, Richard Lovelace said: “Stone walls do not a prison make, nor iron bars a cage.” 

What is the prison - what are the chains - which billions of persons are locked away in right now and are willingly continuing to remain locked up? The prison is the mind.

John Milton explained: “The mind . . . in itself can make a heaven of hell, a hell of heaven.” 

Again, it is the mind - after having been unnaturally programmed, conditioned, etc. - which is a storehouse of all which imprisons persons. Each belief is a brick used to form the walls. The bars are also made of concepts and ideas and faith and convictions.

If you allow the false beliefs about the consciousness to go, then WHO (what false identity) could be left to be concerned at all with this consciousness or what happens with it?

Maharaj, speaking of conceptual consciousness and transcendent consciousness, said: “This consciousness is dead to me; it is gone. I have transcended that. So whatever it is, is that other consciousness, that one which is without concepts.”

THE EXPLANATION

If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.

Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of god in the past was of a weak god, an absentee god, A Santa Claus-type god, a mean, punishing, vindictive god, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring god whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to."

The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a god that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").

Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring god,' any supposed god that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'god' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part.

"That is, a non-narcissistic their god / their goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'god' and focus on the 'god as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you." 

Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:

"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"

"Heaven and earth shall fade away."

--Yeshu'a (Jesus)

and 

"Heaven and hell are not geographic places

but are states of mind, nothing more than

concepts dreamed up by men."

--Pope John Paul II 

"There is no hell."

--Pope Francis, the current pope

in an interview with journalist Eugenio Scalfari,

a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record

teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium.

[That said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional courage required to question the very existence of their institution in light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of billions of their members past and present.

And that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will they? Not likely. Why?

Because what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the international crime families which hold sway over the masses as criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major international crime families and which are the most influential and have the largest memberships?

The Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank); Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers) like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.)

With all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business, politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the driving forces at play.

The masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]
