Freedom from the influence of the religious or spiritual fanaticism of the Super Puritan / the Super Controlling Mom / The Super Religious One / the Spiritual Giant will be offered. What does that require?

Being awake enough, conscious enough, and aware enough to understand the actual real factors which instilled in you the belief that playing the role of the Super Puritan / the Super Controlling Mom / The Super Religious One is the way to go. Also, by conducting a thorough and honest inventory to find the truth about why those roles are so appealing?

So why do persons continue so willingly to give their gifts of time and service as well as their devotion and money to institutions which promise peace on earth but have never delivered; who have a history of financial chicanery;

who have started more wars than any other institution; who have a well-documented and widely-reported history of leaders who have sexually-molested children for centuries; who are forever soliciting money;  etc., etc., etc.?

We looked at some of their motivations yesterday:

THE MONKEY SEE, MONKEY DO SYNDROME

SELFISH, SELF-CENTERED PAYOFFS

THE PROMISE OF REWARDS AND THE AVOIDANCE OF PUNISHMENT

DUALISTIC BELIEFS: BEING SEEN AS GOOD NOT BAD

 BELIEVING THEY CAN HAVE THE POWER TO CONTROL WHAT THEY WANT TO CONTROL

FEARS AND DESIRES

Again Maharaj: “First of all you identify something as being good or bad for yourself. Then, in an effort to acquire good or to get rid of the bad, you have invented a God. Then you worship such a God and . . . you pray to that God for something good to happen to you” (or to your family or to your country or to your state or city by having approaching storms hit others and not you, or to your girlfriend whose period is late, or to your lottery ticket, blah, blah, blah).

Of course fears and desires are the stuff of ego / ego-states as well. That results in double whammies for the non-realized masses.

ARROGANCE

Puritanism lives; therefore, arrogance thrives as well. Both are being sustained by the four thousand religions currently operating around the globe; by the hundreds of thousands of so-called “spiritual groups”; and by thousands of cults and sects around the globe.

Modern day Puritanism / religion / spirituality are the key disseminators of the “we are different from others” and “the things which make us different from others are the same things which make us better than others.”

Wonder why there might be some problems in the Middle East that have been ongoing for centuries? Let’s see.

The Jews claim they are different and the best . . . that they are God’s chosen people. Good luck negotiating or getting along with persons who have that as a key element in their belief system.

The members of Hamas were shown in the videos taken by their body cameras shouting “Allah ‘akbar” (“God is great!”) as they beheaded babies and adults. See, their God helped make their actions possible, so surely he was on their side and pleased.

Anyone who thinks the Middle East has been plagued for thousands of years with political wars instead of religious wars are living in ignorance.

So it is when people offer prayers from their sleepwalking state. In the novel The Twice-Stolen Necklace Murders, the lead character Kirk addressed the way that millions of rote, sleep-talking prayers are spewed forth from mouths every day, as when his mother had come by for a visit over breakfast:

They had sat on his balcony one spring after he first moved to the lake. Kirk had prepared a breakfast, and once served, his mom ordered, “Now bow your head so I can offer thanks.”

Now, Kirk alone had bought the food with money that he alone worked to earn; he went to the store and back; he prepared the food on a stove he bought; he served it on plates he bought, to be eaten with silverware he bought, on a balcony of a condo he bought. But he knew her thinking: “He gave you the ability to do all that, so we’re gonna thank Him.”

And thank Him she would because Kirk humored her, and her thanks humored him. He knew the roots of the forthcoming words, and he knew that this prayer of hers went back long before her Christ had died for her sins - including the sin she was “born in” and all the sins that came later; he knew the pagan origins of the words about to manifest from her lips.

Let’s see, Kirk said to himself as he reviewed those Roman gods for whom the seven days of the week have their current names: I’m about to hear seven prayers rolled into one, including the one they used to offer to the Sun god on Sun-day, due thanks for the giving of power and life; to the Moon god, dispeller of darkness, due thanks for protection during the night on Moon-day; to Tiw, god of war, due thanks for personal strength and victory over enemies; to Woden, god of gods;

to Thor, son of god, in charge of war and thunder and personal strength, especially useful when calling on his father Woden, really getting Woden’s attention by adding the phrase ‘in-Your-son’s-name-we-pray’; to Frigga, goddess of fertility; and to Saturn, goddess of agriculture, due thanks for giving food.

And here it came as she prayed, “Dear God from whom all power and life and blessings come, we thank You for watching over us during the night. As our troops prepare for battle overseas, please give them strength and victory over the forces of evil.

“We pray to you in your son’s name, God, to protect our boys and women and give them the strength needed. We ask Your blessing on my grandson and his wife, that they might become pregnant if it is in Your will. Now bless this food that You have given to us for the nourishment of our bodies. Amen.”

Raising her head, she saw a huge smile covering Kirk’s face.

“And what are you smiling at?”

“I’m just happy.”

“No you’re not,” she countered while shaking her head. “It’s the prayer thing, isn’t it?”

“I just find it humorous.”

“There’s nothing humorous about God.”

“I agree with that, completely. Now let’s eat.”

THE EXPLANATION

If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.

Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of god in the past was of a weak god, an absentee god, A Santa Claus-type god, a mean, punishing, vindictive god, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring god whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to."

The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a god that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").

Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring god,' any supposed god that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'god' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part.

"That is, a non-narcissistic their god / their goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'god' and focus on the 'god as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you." 

Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:

"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"

and 

"Heaven and earth shall fade away."

--Yeshu'a (Jesus)

and 

"Heaven and hell are not geographic places

but are states of mind, nothing more than

concepts dreamed up by men."

--Pope John Paul II 

"There is no hell."

--Pope Francis, the current pope

in an interview with journalist Eugenio Scalfari,

a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record

teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium.

[That said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional courage required to question the very existence of their institution in light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of billions of their members past and present.

And that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will they? Not likely. Why?

Because what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the international crime families which hold sway over the masses as criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major international crime families and which are the most influential and have the largest memberships?

The Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank); Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers) like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.)

With all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business, politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the driving forces at play.

The masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]
