Furthermore, for those who have developed a preference for any non-nisargan yoga or who prefer Traditional Advaita Vedanta, Neo-Advaita, Neo-Vedanta, or Pseudo Advaita: here you will only find the use of the Direct Path Method of teaching along with the Nisarga (Natural) Yoga, all shared in simple, everyday English.
F.: As noted in a recent series, there has never been a shortage of "www-type-passersby" who write to explain how wrong the approach here is, though they do not even know what the approach here is.
The "furthermore" note above was added to allow those who are attached to a yoga other than the Nisarga Yoga offered here (or to allow those who are attached to a method of teaching other the Direct Path Method) to click the close button right away.
Yet the arrogant and deluded still write to explain what should be discussed on a site that is not their own, including "more discussions of how to become elevated"; "more emphasis on attaining higher levels of consciousness"; "more posts encouraging people to turn to Christ before it is too late"; "more discussions about how to be in touch with the Christ Consciousness"; "developing a purer heart"; and also including:
the really creepy messages that shout in all caps with exclamation marks, "ALLAH AKBAR!!!!!" or "ALLAHU AKBAR!!!!!" The reply could be, "Yeah, okay, whatever. Why don't you just calm down?" But with their rage, engendered by programming and conditioning and acculturation, being calm is impossible. Thus, the close button is clicked here as well when such mail is received.
Why are none of those concepts discussed here? Because they are all nonsense. To dismiss the last three first:
1. There is no such thing as a purer heart (unless one undergoes a body detoxification program that might purge a few physical contaminants, but that is not what they are talking about at all, is it?)
2. Allah Akbar? God is great? There would be no problem endorsing those claims, as far as the relative existence is concerned, if an all-powerful, all-knowing god did exist and did use that supposedly limitless power to stop the insanity, to stop the torture, to stop the killing, to stop the suffering, to stop the misery, to stop the pain, to end the stupidity, and to put a halt to cruelty;
instead, by all accounts, the god of Abraham participated in mass murder himself and, in some quarters, still endorses even today the murder of those who do not follow one of the three religions that evolved from his teachings. If an all-powerful, all-knowing god exists and has the power to stop all of that but chooses not to, what part of that could accurately be classified as "great"?
3. As for "Christ Consciousness," different types of consciousness do not exist. Most who talk of "Christ Consciousness" have no clue about consciousness to begin with, and most have no idea at all that the one they call "Christ" was actually sharing Advaitin pointers during the final years of that manifestation.
Now, to those interested in Eastern teachings, consider the talk about being elevated and attaining higher levels of consciousness. The notion of "being elevated" is no different at all from notions about hierarchies: both notions deal with separation and ranking and differentiation, all of which support dualistic beliefs and ideas about "better-than-ness" and all of which are, therefore, false.
As for "higher levels of consciousness," the same applies. Mentioned recently were some of the many forms of energy, one of which is conscious-energy. In the kitchen here, the blender is operated by 110V-electrical energy; in the kitchen of the site's co-host Louise in South Africa, the blender in her kitchen is operated by 220V-electrical energy.
Could one say that her energy is of a "higher level," or could it only be said accurately that "her energy source is of a different voltage than that used in the U.S."? Electrical energy is electrical energy. Conscious-energy is conscious-energy. Consciousness is consciousness; it does not manifest dualistically at different levels; and by no effort can it be changed from one level to another.
Yes, teachers might use such terms as "the corrupted consciousness" or "the contaminated consciousness" with seekers at certain levels who have not even begun to understand the vastness of the blockages that prevent the consciousness from seeing Truth.
In the end, though, it is to be understood that the consciousness is neither "good" or "bad" nor "higher" or "lower." Those distinctions would involve duality, and the consciousness is not marked by duality.
The approach here is to use the Direct Path Method of "teaching" to actually "un-teach" ... to serve as a catalyst for "un-learning" to happen. In the end, there is no teaching going on here at all.
That is why any value assigned to the Direct Path Method is always discounted in the end and why the focus is shifted at the end of the "path" to the Nisarga Yoga and the natural living that happen when nisargan pointers are understood.
Here, there is no notion that the consciousness has been corrupted and must be "made purer." That belief is as nonsensical as the sky-culters' talk of "making a heart purer."
The pointer here in this regard is that concepts and ideas and attitudes, as well as all dogmatic and ideological beliefs, become the blockages that prevent the consciousness from seeing clearly and prevent the consciousness from being able to differentiate true from false when the "mind" interferes as it does with distinguishing true from false.
Thus, talk of levels or types of consciousness, of purer vs. less pure hearts, of a god that is great, and of being elevated are all nonsense. What did the "Mumbai Maverick" have to offer on the subject?
Maharaj: "Common parlance has it that I am getting elevated, my position is getting higher and higher. But it is not so. We have to subside, settle down into our original state, in our priormost state. So I prefer to call it the lower state: to subside into one's foundation, sink into the Source."
Even in that, though, Maharaj would have admitted - if he had been pressed - that there is neither higher nor lower, but he made his point.
All talk of higher and lower, of more pure or less pure, of one god being greater than another god (and of one mirage being better than another mirage) is dualistic, delusional nonsense that fosters more belief in separation and differentiation rather than eliminating all beliefs, including belief in any hierarchies or levels.
