Here, there is nothing that is believed, so there is no one here who wants you to believe anything, either. Here, the invitation is to be free of all that you have been programmed, conditioned, acculturated, and domesticated to believe so that you can be free, period.
Furthermore, for those who have developed a preference for any non-nisargan yoga or who prefer Traditional Advaita Vedanta, Neo-Advaita, Neo-Vedanta, or Pseudo Advaita: here you will only find the use of the Direct Path Method of teaching along with the Nisarga (Natural) Yoga, all shared in simple, everyday English.
F.: Yesterday, the question was asked at the end of the post: "So who / what does NOT want power and control ... does not even believe in power and control?" Of course the answer is, the tiny fraction of the planet's population that are Realized.
The non-Realized cannot imagine that there can be any veracity at all to the pointer above that "here, there is nothing that is believed." They would be even more skeptical were they to hear that, more to the point, there is no "one" here that could believe anything anyway.
But if those pointers are understood, wherefore belief in "control" or "power"? WHO - what non-Realized persona or personas - believe that control is needed? WHO - what non-Realized persona or personas - believe that power is needed?
WHO - what ego-state that is supported by egotism, as all ego-states are - believes that he / she has power? WHO - what ego-state that is supported by egotism, as all ego-states are - believes that he / she can control people or events?
WHO, having assumed erroneously that she or he has "personal power," is incapable of merely witnessing the thousands of events that happen during any given twenty-four hour period without believing that she or he can control people and can make events happen in the way that she or he desires? What arrogance! What self-deception!
WHO assumes that he or she also has the ability to tap into some "other-world superpower" or "Supreme Being" and believes that he or she can use that external power source, also to control people and to make events happen in the way that he or she desires? What arrogance! What delusion!
Consider:
Questioner: "There must be some power which is responsible for this creation."
Maharaj: "The power is the Self which each one has in his beingness [but] that power is time-bound. From the time that beingness comes it creates automatically until that beingness disappears. Earlier, there was nothing -after, there is nothing. It is only during the duration of the beingness that the world and creation is" [that is, "believed to be"].
Be done with the delusion of believing in mirages (and in "Super-powered Mirages"), come to know the Self, and enjoy the remainder of the beingness, automatically ... spontaneously ... calmly ... free of the chaos-generating addiction to control and the chaos-generating addiction to power.
The deer that live in a most relaxed and calm and contented manner in this neighborhood do not abide in that enviable fashion because they have power or control. They abide in a relaxed and calm and contented manner because they have no beliefs at all, including any belief about either power or control.
For personas who have been programmed and conditioned and acculturated to be addicted to power and control, understand that it is not accumulation of power that allows for a relaxed, calm, contented existence.
It is de-accumulation that results in such simplification. How much simpler could the relative existence be than for it to happen spontaneously without the slightest notion that there must be a constant seeking of power all day long and a constant effort to try to use such (imagined) power all day long to try to control people and events?
And how much more complicated is the existence when it is marked by efforts to gain power in order to be able to control? Imagine the burden of trying to carry a thousand-pound load around every second of every day. Then imagine the relief were the carrier to simply let it go ... to set it down and walk away from it.
That is the case with the Realized that have been completely relieved (especially, relieved of all delusions and deceptions, and especially relieved of the belief in power and control); by opposition, contrast that with the continuing burden among the non-Realized as they carry the load of trying to gain power in order to control though both "power" and "control" are as mythical as devils and angels ...
as hell and heaven ... as "personal power" and a "Supreme Superpower" ... as any and all superstition-and-ignorance-based dualities that have been dreamed up to keep the masses dreaming (including "witnessing" vs. "being powerful" and "merely being" vs. "being in charge").
An alternative to being trapped in the seeking power / seeking control game is implied in the statement, "Physician, heal thyself." If the Ultimate Medicine is taken fully, then it first becomes obvious that the only one that you could control - if restored to sanity - would be yourself.
Then secondly it is understood that you are not in a world that needs your input and control but that "the world" you think you see is actually in you ... in your "mind."
After that, it becomes clear that there is no "one" to control himself / herself and that there is no need even for "self"-control, the belief in any and all selves having fallen away. Afterwards, the simple and unencumbered abidance will occur in the nisarga, natural fashion whereby spontaneous living happens and all is merely witnessed without any desire-generating personalities at play.
At that point, the Ultimate Medicine will have cured - that is, totally eliminated - the two most prevalent addictions on the planet, at least in one case. And concern should never have been about anything or anyone other than that one case anyway.
Then, the abandonment of the desire for power in order to control will lead to the freedom that is the prerequisite not only for peace to manifest within but also for an incredible lightness of being to unfold for the remainder of the manifestation. Again ...
Maharaj: "What is wrong in letting go the illusion of personal control ... ?"
