Here, there is nothing that is believed, so there is no one here who wants you to believe anything, either. Here, the invitation is to be free of all that you have been programmed, conditioned, acculturated, and domesticated to believe so that you can be free, period.
Furthermore, for those who have developed a preference for any non-nisargan yoga or who prefer Traditional Advaita Vedanta, Neo-Advaita, Neo-Vedanta, or Pseudo Advaita: here you will only find the use of the Direct Path Method of teaching along with the Nisarga (Natural) Yoga, all shared in simple, everyday English.
F.: Much of the mail that collected in the inbox while on vacation has now been read. Several mentioned a "break-through" that happened earlier this month with the discussion of the temporary and transitory nature of not only all "you's" and you-ness but also of any You-ness as well.
Several follow-up questions and comments were received in regards to the "impersonal presence," some taking that to be "the ultimate understanding or awareness." It is not. Re-read the entire discussion on the subject in that early November series.
To review and to clarify, briefly, the understanding of impersonal presence happens at the seventh stage of sixteen stages as all of the concepts and beliefs that have blocked the consciousness from witnessing purely are discarded in an exact, step-wise fashion.
After understanding that "I am Presence" - an understanding that allows for at least some distance to manifest between the "I" and the notions of "materiality and physicality" - then the door has been opened for the understanding that "Presence is."
The pointer was offered earlier that it is that understanding which takes the "I" out of the picture completely and allows the understanding of the impersonal presence to manifest.
Yet that is but the halfway point of the stages of cycling into manifestation, being misinformed, receiving the Advaitin pointers, casting aside all misinformation, eventually casting also all information period, and abiding naturally (if one follows the Nisarga Yoga to its end) until the unmanifestation / mahasamadhi happens.
To review, the remaining "shifts" / understandings / awarenesses happen thusly:
"No presence is." That removes from the picture the concepts of the limited "Is-ness," the "Am-ness," the "Beingness," and even the "Non-Beingness." Next comes the understanding that...
"I am nothing." That marks the beginning of the "wisdom manifested" state as the pointer "Wisdom is knowing that I am nothing" is understood.
Then follows the "There is no one to be wise, to know, to understand" state and the "Neti-neti" state.
The next awareness is "I am the Absolute Awareness with no aware-of-ness" state; the "Rather than, 'I am nothing,' the Nothingness is" state; then, the "nothing is" state, including nothing and no one to believe, conceptualize, learn, perceive, know, understand, do, or assume anything.
The pointer was offered that Reality has, at that stage, been overlaid upon the relative and that abidance can happen in the deer-like mode with the limitless freedom of nothingness: no concepts, no beliefs, no duality.
Eventually comes the mahasamadhi / Unmanifestation stage and, finally, the cycling is complete with there once again being the no-you state, the you-are-not state, the no-beingness state, the no non-beingness state.
If you understand the pointer regarding "impersonal presence," You have most certainly transcended many of the stages that must be transcended in order to reach the Full Understanding of the Functioning of the Totality, yet you are but at the halfway point of all that is to be understood.
In the end, there will be no understand-er, nothing understood, no understanding at all. Then, with Reality having been overlaid upon the relative, abidance can happen naturally and spontaneously and contentedly.
