To continue with the discussion of not only how to realize but also what to realize as well:
Today, let's pause to talk about three non-dual messages which have been offered by the use of car imagery or car symbolism.
1. Some know that when I was a child, our family was confined to the bottom range of the U.S. economic hierarchy. That had been a "family tradition" for generations.
My dad's father was buried at a young age when his appendix burst. Dad's Cherokee mother had lived an existence of minimalism, which was just fine with her and her people. but that existence too was marked with poverty.
Members of her family over a couple of generations had been involved in a series of "population transfers" or "forced relocations," and many of her relatives died as they were marched away from their ancestral homelands.
For the indigenous people who survived, few opportunities existed in the late 1800's and early 1900's for climbing beyond the confines of the lower echelons of a rigid economic ladder; thus, for Christmas - if a decent crop came in - Dad might get an apple or an orange, but not both. During years of slightly better harvests, a few walnuts might be added along with his customary "piece of fruit gift."
After his father's funeral, Dad stayed on the farm to help out until he realized he could be of more assistance to his mother if he moved from Texas to Louisiana to get a job and then sent money back home to her.
In as larger city, he found someone willing to teach him how to weld, and that led to his finding employment at a tank manufacturing plant. He would marry mother and they would rent a room in the back of her grandfather's house where my sister would came into the picture in 1940.
They felt that poverty-stricken existence was idyllic compared to their pasts, but it was soon come to and end. Dad would be drafted into the Navy and would sail from San Francisco to Okinawa during the final stages of WWII.
After the war ended, Dad returned to the States and used his only saleable skill at the time and found employment as a welder in 1946, earning 17 cents per hour in a 40-to-50-hour work week job which was offered with the understanding that double shifts would sometimes be required.
I came on the scene in the late 1940's, and the family traditions of poverty continued, meaning I, too, would usually get one gift at Christmas.
One year I got a small car, a wind up toy, which would give me hours of pleasure. Here's the way it worked:
A small "key" came with the car which could be inserted into a hole in the bottom of the car. It could wind up the car's internal spring; then, once the car was set down on the floor, it would race full-speed-ahead until it hit an immovable object. When that happened, the car would back up a foot, would turn ninety degrees to the right, and would race off again until it ran into something else, backed up, turned, and repeated the process until the tension in the spring wound down.
I would see this years later: that is exactly the way most persons - including myself for a time - live their entire lives.
The non-dual message offered by seeing the way that the toy car functioned is this:
That car was "programmed" to behave the way it did. Its pattern was one of futility and senselessness, find for entertaining a young child but certainly not a model for the way that any sane human would live. In fact, the car had no choice about what it did. It could not decide that it was no longer going to go and do and zoom and crash and burn and always turn to the right and always ram head first into obstacles until it could ram no more.
Similarly, most persons have no ability to make conscious choices because unconscious and subconscious forces are controlling their every thought and word and action.
Recently, there were several who challenged the pointer that "people (that is, "non-realized, sleepwalking persons") are not the singular cause of all their problems." How could they be if they have been put to sleep via programming, conditioning, etc. and are being driven by the hidden agendas of programming, conditioning etc. and by the subconscious, hidden agendas of personality identifications which remove any chance for making conscious choices?
Was that intended to give a free pass to sociopaths who generate relative harm for others throughout the relative existence? No.
Was there any hidden message suggesting that "I don't care . . . I'm immune to feeling for those who are in misery and suffering from the actions of other truly Sick persons on the planet?" No.
Was there a message that persons are like that car I was given as a child and that there's no hope of their ever changing the way that their existence is impacting them and those around them? No.
But the experience here was that "the readiness to seek lasting relief" came not as a result of making a sane, conscious choice to change the way my existence was unfolding but came when there was enough pain and misery to make the seeking of some other way an absolute necessity instead of one possible option to consider.
The early part of the vision shows how body and mind and personality identifications must be transitioned if one would ever understand and then be totally free to make sane and wise and conscious choices.
Unlike that toy car of my youth, persons can be inspired by a variety of means to break free of their insane and destructive patterns of thinking and behaving.
After that, fate or chance may well play a significant role. Will one by chance cross paths with someone that can point the way to freedom, or might most continue to function as did that car?
Tomorrow, we'll look at
car message #2 which involves the way that most persons travel through the relative existence while being forced to ride as if in a car without every having an opportunity to sit in the driver's seat
and at
car message #3 in which that Maharaj used a car metaphor to share a key non-dual understanding.

THE EXPLANATION
If
looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total
waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are
resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they
are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.
Meaning?
There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept
of god in the past was of a weak god, an absentee god, A Santa
Claus-type god, a mean, punishing, vindictive god, etc. Today, I am in
close contact with a loving and caring god whom I worship and praise and
glorify and give thanks to."
The
reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a god
that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're
dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with
narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism
evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").
Next,
in the phrase 'loving and caring god,' any supposed god that truly had
her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part
of that phrase is 'god' and that the only part that is relevant is the
"loving and caring" part.
"That
is, a non-narcissistic their god / their goddess would say, "I care not
an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or
anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to
want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'god' and focus on the
'god as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and
caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love
and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you."
Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:
"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"
--Yeshu'a (Jesus)
and
"Heaven and earth shall fade away."
--Yeshu'a (Jesus)
and
"Heaven and hell are not geographic places
but are states of mind, nothing more than
concepts dreamed up by men."
--Pope John Paul II
"There is no hell."
--Pope Francis, the current pope
in an interview with journalist Eugenio Scalfari,
a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record
teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium.
[That
said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core
concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional
courage required to question the very existence of their institution in
light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children
and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of
billions of their members past and present.
And
that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about
why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to
continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and
conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will
they? Not likely. Why?
Because
what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the
international crime families which hold sway over the masses as
criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major
international crime families and which are the most influential and have
the largest memberships?
The
Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion
followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while
laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank);
Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers)
like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and
sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created
environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies
like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.)
With
all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership
ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be
they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business,
politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and
they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the
driving forces at play.
The
masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their
groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem
because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the
people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the
masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved
with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the
continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate
the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types
of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]
