FREEDOM FROM INSTABILITY AND SHIFTING Duality (per Maharaj) is fed by and sustained by and recognizable by the presence of its key symptoms: “learned ignorance, stupidity, and insanity.” Throughout human history, the heavy toll which duality has taken is obvious, as are the centers of distribution of duality-based belief systems. A visitor once asked, "Why should religion get so much of the blame for widespread duality?" The consideration was offered that - in the U.S. - the most segregated places in the nation are “houses of worship,” whether temples, churches, mosques, synagogues, etc.  Their assumed task is to define what is (dualistically) “good” vs. what is “bad”; what is “right” vs. what is “wrong”; “who is okay to worship here and who is not”; “how to earn eternal rewards vs. how to avoid eternal punishment”; etc., etc., etc. Other centers of duality distribution include military institutions with there clearly define hierarchies and their “highest to lowest” rankings; businesses with their discriminatory hiring and promotion practices; and centers of power and control such as political institutions. Today, the relative effects of “duality on steroids” are playing out on screens where people around the globe are seeing what happens when dictators use their power and control to kill untold numbers of humans and to displace millions of others.   In the U.S., the effects of giving an authoritarian power for four years are clear: take a nation (already long divided by political views, by economic discrepancies, by unchecked ignorance, and by huge swaths of the population being driven by their own false-self interests) and such an authoritarian in four years can inspire 50% or more of a nation’s population - who have already been stewing for generations in their duality-based hatred and sense of “different-from-ment” and “better-than-ment” - to act on their desire to overthrow the government and destroy the nation (a drive which has been played out in the U.S. since the Civil War theoretically ended in 1865)  and to then rebuild a new nation in its place which uses the Jewish Torah / Old Testament section as its new constitution.   The same has been repeated in recent years around the globe as more and more despots and dictators with their duality-based agendas let those agendas drive them to suppress and murder millions. None of the centers of duality distribution referenced above are new. They are quite old and have been exerting their duality-based beliefs and influences on sheep-like persons for centuries. When that happens for generations, duality can take a very firm hold over the thoughts and words and actions of the exposed masses. The reply to that questioner: Your inquiry about duality and religion will be further addressed along with the response to Louise’s query since duality is also at the heart of the shift she described: happy vs. unhappy; OK vs. not OK; orderly vs. chaotic, etc. (Note the way that all duality-based beliefs foster a sense of separation and arrogance.  A next-door neighbor told me that “the problems in America can be traced directly to Lincoln having freed the slaves and that’s what makes him the worse U.S. President in history.” The reply that “Huh. I figured that made him the greatest U.S. President.” At that point, I saw nothing but his back as he walked away, and in that moment he would have agreed with the “ex-wife” who listened to some of the non-dual pointers I was offering to visitors for consideration and then declared that “My God! You are a new age agent of Satan!” God? New age? Satan? Really? In her duality-based mind, the belief was, “Yes! Really!”) To continue: The first of any binary pair is given preferred status by the non-realized: “us vs. them”; “Christian vs. Jew”; “American vs. others”; “Russians vs. Ukrainians,” ad infinitum.  Even if ego-state-generated nonsense such as public declarations like “We are the greatest nation on earth” were not verbalized, believing that the message implied by any dualistic pair is true will automatically foster a “different-from”  and therefore “better-than” mindset. But to explicate the role that religions play (and have always played) in dreaming up dualities and then supporting them is not “blaming religion" as you have charged. It is simply explaining. Duality has become big business across the globe nowadays, so trace its history from “then” to “now” to see the role that religion has played. The earliest persons living in darkness and in ignorance (joined by the earliest self-appointed priest, medicine man, or shaman) were the manufacturers of dualistic, supernatural explanations for naturally-occurring happenings. From the past to the present, non-realized persons have unquestioningly believed duality-based statements if delivered by a supposedly "holy person," statements such as "An angry God vs. a happy God destroyed those people and their homes" or such as the Dalai Lama’s claim that "Their bad karma vs. the presence of good karma caused Hurricane Katrina to devastate New Orleans, Louisiana," etc.) Organized religion evolved and became the guardian of duality (teaching binary concepts such as good-bad, right-wrong, heaven-hell, punishment-reward, us-them, ad infinitum). Today, the continuum of duality - and thus ignorance - flows thusly: Churches and temples and mosques and synagogues are now one of the major distribution centers and sellers of duality. Those who are sleepwalking about the planet, believing with “faith” whatever they hear without any sane or sound inquiry, are the buyers of duality. And now, governments and businesses and religions and many philosophies are the users of duality, using dualistic proclamations in order to control and manipulate the programmed masses to do whatever non-realized persons want. Next, note that here, the third step from identification with the false "I" to abidance as the Absolute is the religious or spiritual step.  Thus, there is no recommendation here that religious or spiritual “works” or involvement be avoided.  The third step's spiritual and religious role-playing and game-playing must happen, but it must also be transitioned if full realization is to happen. From another visitor: "But doesn't 'abidance as the Absolute' prevent feeling?" The reply: That question has been addressed thoroughly in the writings over the years as the difference in emotions and feelings has been defined and clarified. The short version is as follows in regards to the “witnessing of feelings” vs. the “experiencing of emotions” as mentioned earlier: It is only the latter (emotions) - generated by the assumption of ego-states as identities - which lead to emotional intoxication and “actions” and “reactions” and misperceptions of shifting between the perceived duality of “happy vs. sad.” Feelings, by contrast, can happen; however, the realized merely witness them as they rise and as they fall. They do not shift the realized from an uninterrupted state of happiness into either a momentary or extended lapse into unhappiness. That said, never has one that is wise and fully realized has suggested that feelings must be repressed if AS IF living is to happen. If tears flow, they flow. If laughter happens, it happens. If seemingly incredible pleasure happens, it happens. Understanding I AM THAT does not bring the I AM-ness to an immediate end. The understanding can, however, bring stability. What does not continue post-realization, and which is relevant to what Louise shared, is the emotional intoxication that is generated by deception-based memories. It is realization which results in freedom from instability when the dualistic roots of emotional reactions are seen, when the belief in illusions can be discarded, and when events inspired by delusions and emotional intoxication are transitioned with the abandonment of false identities which lead persons to assume they have been interfered with or hurt or threatened or harmed. Since ego-states are not real, they will always generate a sense of fear and insecurity in the “mind” that is assuming one or more roles. Persons are driven to think thoughts, say words, and take actions which preserve their false images, but those images and false identities have no more substance or life-expectancy than any mirage that has ever appeared temporarily in a desert. Misery will accompany the belief in such illusions, and any sense of peace will be destroyed if an ego-state is assumed or if a former ego-state is recalled from "memory." Thus, the peace which happened for a period with Louise will always be interrupted when the “mind” remembers some “past” ego-state which no longer exists or some “current” ego-state which is not receiving what it thinks it needs or desires at the moment. The “husband” that believes he has “lost his wife” can suffer untold levels of misery, but if that so-called “loss” had been preceded by the understanding that “I am not 'husband,” and that “husbanding can happen . . . or not,” then the subsequent misery generated by hearing the words, “I’m leaving you” would not have manifested (and would not continue to manifest). Full realization - meaning per Maharaj that all learned ignorance and insane beliefs have been discarded - can result in an end to misery-producing co-dependencies and can provide a means by which persons can be free of the instability which is generated by self-deceiving memories and by belief in dualistic falsehoods. THE EXPLANATION

If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.

Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of god in the past was of a weak god, an absentee god, A Santa Claus-type god, a mean, punishing, vindictive god, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring god whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to."

The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a god that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").

Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring god,' any supposed god that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'god' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part.

"That is, a non-narcissistic their god / their goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'god' and focus on the 'god as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you." 

Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:

"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"

"Heaven and earth shall fade away."

--Yeshu'a (Jesus)

and 

"Heaven and hell are not geographic places

but are states of mind, nothing more than

concepts dreamed up by men."

--Pope John Paul II 

"There is no hell."

--Pope Francis, the current pope

in an interview with journalist Eugenio Scalfari,

a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record

teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium.

[That said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional courage required to question the very existence of their institution in light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of billions of their members past and present.

And that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will they? Not likely. Why?

Because what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the international crime families which hold sway over the masses as criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major international crime families and which are the most influential and have the largest memberships?

The Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank); Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers) like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.)

With all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business, politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the driving forces at play.

The masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]
