Michael Jordan became a “superstar” and a multi-billionaire because of his skill at playing professional basketball. When he retired from his basketball career, he decided that he could be a “superstar” in professional baseball. 

He failed. You see, basketball was his wheelhouse, referring to an area that matches a person's skills or expertise. Baseball was not his wheelhouse . . . was not an area that matched his skill set or expertise.

While billions believe that those who are involved with religion in local, state, national, and international areas can help them find “peace of mind” presently and salvation eternally, what is not in their wheelhouse is treating mental illnesses in a professional manner. 

Yesterday, this was offered:

In fact, at the core of what the masses deem to be “all of the evil people and all of the evil acts going on in the world,” there is actually nothing that is evil at all. 

The two most prevalent problems on the planet are actually rooted in two sicknesses that have a great deal in common, specifically, the sickness of addictions and the Ultimate Sickness.

What do they have in common? First, 99.9999% of all persons suffer from both. Almost all persons have at least one and usually several addictions, yet the primary addiction among persons is the addiction to control.

As a result of the desire to control, there is a secondary addiction, which is the addiction to power (and to a Power or to a Higher Power or to multiple Higher Powers in some religions). 

Any other addictions are a result of under-developed or non-existent coping skills, also exacerbated by the desire for control and power.

Similarly, the Ultimate Sickness involves an addiction to power and a Power or Powers. Also, both sicknesses are centered in “the mind,” but in both cases, the resulting effects are blamed by the non-Realized masses on moral shortcomings - on being “bad” rather than on mind-centered issues. 

Blaming all of the “ills of the planet” on a single cause (such as “the presence of evil”) ignores the fact that - as Maharaj put it - the cause of all is . . . all.

There is no one single cause for anything, including any illness. That holds true for the primary and secondary addictions of humanity, for all of the other addictions that humanity is in the grip of, and it holds true for the Ultimate Sickness. 

So here a consideration is offered: either (1) a view of addiction that is over eighty years old is spot on and addictions happen to people with bad morals and are caused solely by bad morality; 

or, (2) the modern, scientific view is spot on: addictions are multi-faceted and require treatment that is holistic in nature, and “being good” or “being moral” will never free one of an addiction.

Moreover, either (1) the ancient view is spot on: that the “ills of the planet” are rooted in evil people, in people not being religious enough or spiritual enough, and are caused solely by bad morality; 

or, (2) the “ills of the planet” are rooted in ignorance, stupidity and insanity and “being good” or “being moral” does not put an end to ignorance, does not eliminate stupidity, and does not treat insanity in any way.  

Neither a god conceived by humans nor religions nor spirituality can heal a sick mind. Nor can those employed in the business of “saving souls.” Some professionals are trained to specialize in the treatment of psychological or psychiatric illnesses and disorders. 

As for those in charge of running religious and / or spiritual businesses - and businesses they are - the treating of mental illness is not in their wheelhouse. From personal experience, I can testify that they are more effective at generating mental illness than they are at ridding persons of mental illness. 

Professionals in the mental health business work at helping persons' become free of their delusional, distorted, deranged, neurotic, and psychotic beliefs. 

To the contrary, those in charge of running religious and / or spiritual businesses are trained to teach their followers to unquestioningly accept delusional, distorted, deranged, neurotic, and psychotic beliefs on faith.

Persons who have been programmed and conditioned for millennia to believe in the latest form of a myth-and-superstition-based god (or gods and goddesses) have - as a result of their magical thinking - also believed that a god (or gods and goddesses) have micro-managed everything that happens on planet earth.

Even today, some among those types believe that there is a god who controls the weather and determines when hurricanes and tornadoes and monsoons and typhoons form and then determines where they go; decides who survives floods and mass shootings and who does not;

determines who survives a serious illness and who does not; determines who will dies as a child and who lives to a very old age; and who - according to their belief systems - creates everything and decides what shall exist and what shall be destroyed.

The flaw with such beliefs? Ignorant people who had no education or scientific knowledge obviously could not explain the happenings in nature that they observed, so some among them dreamed up the notion that there is some unseen force (eventually called “god” or “a higher power” or any of the other scores of names for that force) who was causing those natural happenings.

What began among magical thinkers, therefore, was the assignment of a supernatural cause (or Causer) of events that were merely natural. Eventually, they subdivided that force - “the God Who is the Creator of All” - into multiple gods and goddesses whose work because specialized; 

thus, they dreamed up the notion of creator gods / goddesses, sustainer gods / goddesses, and destroyer gods / goddesses.

Later, a man named Abraham came along and laid the foundation for the three religions (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam) which all evolved from one single source - the words of Abraham - but that would never be able to agree on a unified dogma that could be acceptable to all three. The result: the fighting, the wars, the killings and murdering of each other which continues to this day.

Abraham’s words shifted the beliefs of most back to the original notion that there is just one force, one Power, one God, yet after thousands of years of worshipping gods and goddesses who had specialization skills in the areas of creation and sustenance and destruction, the masses had to be appeased, so Abraham rolled all three specialized-God-chores into one.

The result: a schizophrenic God who creates, who sustains believers, and who destroys and punishes non-believers. The problem with that theory?

Again, all is energy-matter, and neither energy nor matter can be created or destroyed. If there is nothing created, then there is no Creator; and if nothing is destroyed, then there is no Destroyer God.

And because the Second Law of Thermodynamics makes clear that whatever energy-matter comes together will stay together only temporarily, then there is no “sustaining” and there is no sustainer God.

Fast forward to more modern times when some people are beginning to understand that bodies are flawed and that minds are flawed and that personality disorders are the result of flawed minds.

Then, note that magical thinkers are still prevalent and that they still believe that  all calamities - whether they involve happenings in nature or whether they involve the physical or mental or emotional issues that humans face - can still be influenced by the Creator and Sustainer skills of a god that can be called on.

To that end, they will pray that a hurricane headed to their region will be diverted or they will believe that mental issues and personality disorders can be addressed by their conceptualized Creator and Sustainer god.

Yet because nothing has ever been created, then there is no Creator, so if one is counting on mental and emotional issues and personality disorders to be healed by someone who does not exist, then they are doomed to continue to suffer the misery generated by their mental and emotional and personality disorders for the entirety of the manifestation.

One excellent example of that illogical, magical thinking is presented by those who do not understand the roots of the Addictive Personality Disorder and who think that (a) it is a moral problem and that (b) god can be sought to shift them from being immoral and to being moral and that (c) being moral will end their mental and emotional issues and personality disorders.

It cannot happen, of course. The non-duality teachings do exist, so they can address certain mental and emotional issues and personality disorders - depending of their degree of severity. That which does not exist can obviously bring about no long-lasting change or effects at all.

Thus, there are some revealing comparisons that can be drawn between (1) the ineffective methods that persons use to address the problem with the sickness called “alcohol addiction” which centers in the mind and (2) the ineffective methods that persons use to address the problem that non-dualists call “the Ultimate Sickness.”

THE EXPLANATION

If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.

Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of god in the past was of a weak god, an absentee god, A Santa Claus-type god, a mean, punishing, vindictive god, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring god whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to."

The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a god that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").

Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring god,' any supposed god that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'god' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part.

"That is, a non-narcissistic their god / their goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'god' and focus on the 'god as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you." 

Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:

"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"

and 

"Heaven and earth shall fade away."

--Yeshu'a (Jesus)

and 

"Heaven and hell are not geographic places

but are states of mind, nothing more than

concepts dreamed up by men."

--Pope John Paul II 

"There is no hell."

--Pope Francis, the current pope

in an interview with journalist Eugenio Scalfari,

a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record

teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium.

[That said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional courage required to question the very existence of their institution in light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of billions of their members past and present.

And that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will they? Not likely. Why?

Because what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the international crime families which hold sway over the masses as criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major international crime families and which are the most influential and have the largest memberships?

The Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank); Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers) like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.)

With all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business, politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the driving forces at play.

The masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]
