Consciousness is rooted in the Absolute. The brain is rooted in the elements. The "mind" is rooted in wrong programming and faulty conditioning and perverted domestication and xenophobia-based acculturation and warped indoctrination and distorted brainwashing as well as learned ignorance and lies and concepts and ideas and superstitions and falsehoods (a.k.a., “beliefs”).

From an attendee who was brought along as a guest by a seeker that had been coming here annually for “retreats”:

“You do know that when you suggest getting ‘rid of the mind’ that you sound totally nuts, don’t you?”

The reply: “You do understand that when you defend ‘your’ mind after everything it has inspired you to think and say and do throughout your existence that you sound totally nuts, don’t you?”

Consider: The second-most common sicknesses among humans are heart disease and cancer. I’m a double winner in the “What’s-Going-to-Result-in-Floyd-taking-Mahasamadhi-Contest.”

Beyond the congenital heart defect which I have had since birth, and the A-fib which has developed since, I have also had cancer (namely, cancerous polyps which formed in the colon).

The prevalence of those two sicknesses on planet earth is only exceeded in number by the most common illness on the planet: the Ultimate Sickness.

The cancerous growth found on the wall of my colon was not a metastatic cancer (which refers to cancer that has spread beyond the point of origin to other, distant areas. 

In metastasis, cancer cells break away from where they first formed (primary cancer), travel through the blood or lymph system, and form new tumors (metastatic tumors) in other parts of the body.

More and more, humans are found to have cancer which is of the metastatic type when diagnosed; thus, more and more are hearing, “There’s nothing we can do. It’s spread throughout your entire body.”

By contrast, I come to bring you “good tidings of great joy.” No, it’s not that you have a savior. There is no such thing. It is this: while 100% of the population of the planet will contract the Ultimate Sickness, it is never a sickness of the metastatic type.

It is confined to its point of origin. While it can contribute to other illnesses manifesting throughout the body, it is confined only to the areas of the brain which form “the mind parts.”

That’s the “welcome tiding” part of the non-dual message. But the opposite type of tiding - the “awww crap tiding” part - is that it’s the most difficult of all sicknesses to treat.  

Got a non-metastatic cancer? Schedule surgery on the lymph nodes, one or more specific bones, on the brain, on the liver or on the lungs and allow the surgeon to snip-snip. That part of an organ containing cancerous tissue can be removed.

The problem with the Ultimate Sickness? Surgeons are reluctant to perform surgeries which remove the hippocampus, the neocortex, the amygdala, the basal ganglia, and the cerebellum.

Healing the sick  mind is not like going to the barber and saying, “Just take a little off the top.” The aspects of the Ultimate Sickness do not metastasize but remain localized in the mind-parts of the brain;

however, after years of passing along the sickness which generates “ignorance, stupidity, and insanity” (Maharaj) by the implanting in the mind of warped programming, conditioning, domestication, acculturation, brainwashing, and indoctrination, then any effort to convince persons to give up the beliefs which sustain the Sickness is nearly impossible.

Humans love what they take to be their beliefs, never realizing that there is no such thing as their beliefs and that there are only the beliefs of others which have been taught and accepted as truth and which become misidentified by every human as “my beliefs.”

Then, the belief among the masses is that their three false identifications - body identification, mind identification, and personality identification - are real identities; therefore, they end up with this belief as well:  

“You do know that when you suggest getting ‘rid of the mind’ that you sound totally nuts, don’t you?”

They do not see that they have had a mental makeover which has altered then from being a human into being a Pavlovian dog. And how crazy did Pavlov make his dogs? 

He made them so crazy that they no longer salivated only at the smell of meat but also salivated at the sound of a bell on a metronome.

Smell steak? 

Salivating? 

SANE!

Hear a metronome bell? 

Salivating? 

INSANE!

So how to be rid of the mind? Note that no one who has been rendered ignorant and insane as a result of ignorant and insane programming needs to be “re-programmed” (as in “the program”). The masses need to be “de-programmed.”

Additionally, that does not happen by way of being taught more and learning more. (What they were taught and learned is the root of the problem to start with.) All persons need to be un-taught; all persons need to un-learn. 

Should that happen, then one will return to the Child No-Knowing State and once again be free of ignorance and insanity and will be able to abide naturally rather than unnaturally or “supernaturally” (that is, rather than abiding religiously or spiritually or in any of the other ways which program persons to be driven by unquestioning faith in what is taught and to be driven by the resultant magical thinking).

There are computer viruses circulating regularly on the internet which masquerade as virus-protection programs. They will flash on-screen, inform you that you are infected with such-and-such a virus, and ask if you would like that service to remove the contamination. If you click “Yes,” your computer is doomed.

When a visitor using the computer here during a retreat allowed such a virus to infect the system, the action I took immediately was to run the “restore” program. 

Fortunately, the computer was returned to its clean, pre-contamination state . . . to its original virus-free, sickness-free condition, but it's seldom that easy any longer.

That is what the “journey” discussed here is about, and completion of the full “journey” can restore the blocked consciousness to its original, unadulterated, pre-contamination, pre-Ultimate Sickness state.

THE EXPLANATION

If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.

Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of god in the past was of a weak god, an absentee god, A Santa Claus-type god, a mean, punishing, vindictive god, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring god whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to."

The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a god that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").

Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring god,' any supposed god that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'god' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part.

"That is, a non-narcissistic their god / their goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'god' and focus on the 'god as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you." 

Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:

"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"

"Heaven and hell are not geographic places

but are states of mind, nothing more than

concepts dreamed up by men."

in an interview with journalist Eugenio Scalfari,

a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record

teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium.

[That said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional courage required to question the very existence of their institution in light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of billions of their members past and present.

And that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will they? Not likely. Why?

Because what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the international crime families which hold sway over the masses as criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major international crime families and which are the most influential and have the largest memberships?

The Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank); Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers) like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.)

With all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business, politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the driving forces at play.

The masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]
