RELIGION AND SPIRITUALITY-INSPIRED INSANITY

Yesterday, it was shown how a few people and organizations can spread lies which are believed by the masses. In fact, there have been instances throughout history when a single person spread thousands of lies and influenced millions to believe their lies to be true.

It happened in Germany in the 1930’s and it happened again in the U.S. recently (where the trend continues). And, as noted, it happened to those with an addictive personality in the 1930’s and continues around the globe to this day.

The result is that religious insanity and spiritual insanity are running rampant.

As far as how those types of insanity impact those that would complete the “non-dual journey,” spirituality-inspired insanity occurs when spirituality

(A) prevents completion of the entire “journey,”

(B) blocks abiding naturally,

(C) causes financial problems,

(D) causes ill health both physically and mentally, and

(E) accelerates the onset of what the masses call “death.”

Maharaj shared these relevant pointers: 

“I have no faith in anything which has ever been told, not even what has been told by the Vedas. Only my own experience.” 

“First of all you identify something as being good or bad for yourself. Then, in an effort to acquire good or to get rid of the bad, you have invented a God. Then you worship such a God and ... you pray to that God for something good to happen to you.” 

“Whatever you have tried to understand during your spiritual search will prove false.” 

“Whatever spiritual things you aspire to know are all happening in this objective world, in the illusion. All this is happening in the objective world. All is dishonesty. There is no truth in this fraud.” 

“When the birth is disproved, the great noble meaning of spirituality and the meaning of this world - everything - is disproved.” 

“Only that person will visit this place whose virtue and sin have come to an end.” 

“There is no question of elevating to a higher level. Here it is only a question of understanding.” 

“There is no progress.” 

“Go to zero concepts.” 

Two key points to consider: 

1. If you are suffering from cancer and go to a doctor who tells you to take two aspirin for what ails you, his advice is only going to guarantee more suffering and pain . . . and possibly a hastened demise. 

2. If you are (a) suffering from cancer and go to a doctor who tells you that you are suffering from an operable cancer but that (b) his or her recommendation is that (c) instead of undergoing surgery to remove the cancer within that you (d) try to pray away the tumor as an alternative, then . . .

. . . only one of you is suffering from “stupidity verging on insanity.” Only if you agree with her or his recommendation to pray away the tumor, then only are you both suffering from “stupidity verging on insanity.” 

Yet it is quite typical among those suffering to take the word of the one presenting himself or herself as the expert, is it not? Ah, now there’s the rub. 

Now some ask, “Surely you are not saying that alcoholics would be better off if there were no AA to go to?!” First, no advice is given regarding what venues persons should or should not seek in. But there are some considerations offered in regards to the following:

A.  In regards to any program or organization recommending a spiritual (magical / supernatural) treatment for an illness when their treatment that has been shown by research to have a  96.5% to 98.5% failure rate should inspire caution (more on that to follow); however, those entering that treatment program are usually told that their success rates are far higher.

The same caution should be exercised if looking for healing from

B. those using “black magic” or “voodoo” to heal or when a self-described medicine woman or medicine man suggests they can determine the proper treatment for what ails you by squeezing the testicles of a goat.

C. Additionally, the same caution should be exercised if searching for answers to the problems of the planet (or if believing one has been given all of the answers) via organized religion when the facts show that more people have been killed as a result of religious beliefs and dogma and ideologies that from any other factor except “natural causes.”

The same caution should be exercised if

D. a religious adviser suggests that prayer is the only proper and acceptable means for healing one’s children when a simple round of antibiotics is required to cure an infection.

And finally, the same caution should be exercised if

E. looking for healing via “spirituality,” because it too can result in adverse effects, relatively speaking:

The entire “journey” requires completion of a few steps. It is usually necessary at the third step for persons to assume religious and spiritual roles and to play those roles.

Yet those roles blind them to the rest of the “path” as much as any other roles. Most fixate at that step and suffer the many consequences of merely playing new “really good” roles that are believed to have replaced “old, bad” roles.

The invitation of Nisarga Yoga is to abide naturally. If living under the influence of religion, unnatural living will happen. It is unnatural to allow persons who know nothing about your body’s metabolic type to advice what you should and should not eat; 

to advise you to never “waste” the seed or masturbate (under threat of eternal damnation); it is unnatural to be advised to kill yourself in order to kill others who are members of a different religion or sect.

It is also unnatural to try to abide supernaturally / spiritually if that requires one to eat and not eat what a “guide” or guru advises; to spend so much time completing “spiritual exercises” that one makes a second job out of mere living; and to believe that one’s spirituality has progressed him or her to a higher, better, different level from others.

To continue the discussion by using a specific example, consider the case of Libby (not her real name).

Libby became depressed and suicidal when she could no longer pay her bills (in spite of the fact that she had a job that paid her an excellent salary). Libby had searched for years in many venues - just as was the case here - until she found a distorted version of non-duality which led to her fixating at the third of seven steps on the “path” from (1) identification with body and mind and personality to (2) full realization.

Once Libby because convinced that she was “spiritual” (and was then driven by egotism to upgrade that false personality type to “super spiritual”) then she spent a fortune over the next fifteen years attending spiritual retreats and visiting ashrams around the globe in order to reinforce her assumed spiritual persona.

As with most persons, her “journey” began and ended with the assumption of religious identities and then with the assumption of a spiritual identity. She froze at the step where she adopted the persona of “The Super Spiritual Giant.”

Her never-ending efforts to reinforce and sustain her persona resulted in her spending huge sums of money for that purpose, spending thousands of dollars annually on trips to ashrams. Every vacation day provided annually by the company she worked for was spent on the road, no longer to seek but only to “reinforce” her spiritual belief system - and role - that she had adopted.

The safeguarding of her spiritual identity took precedence over all of the financial commitments she had made. Her spiritually-inspired financial insanity eventually resulted in financial insanity and the angst of accumulated debt.

The one assuming the role of “The Super Spiritual Guide” in her life informed her that she would have to abandon the food plan that she was on at that time and would have to become a vegetarian. 

The ignorance involved with that is as “stupid” (to use one of Maharaj’s words) as the U.S. Government’s list of what all persons should eat on a daily basis. Why? Because there are three distinct body types which require three distinct food plans for the organs to function at maximum efficiency.

THE EXPLANATION

If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.

Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of god in the past was of a weak god, an absentee god, A Santa Claus-type god, a mean, punishing, vindictive god, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring god whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to."

The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a god that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").

Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring god,' any supposed god that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'god' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part.

"That is, a non-narcissistic their god / their goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'god' and focus on the 'god as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you." 

Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:

"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"

--Yeshu'a (Jesus)

and 

"Heaven and earth shall fade away."

--Yeshu'a (Jesus)

and 

"Heaven and hell are not geographic places

but are states of mind, nothing more than

concepts dreamed up by men."

--Pope John Paul II 

"There is no hell."

--Pope Francis, the current pope

in an interview with journalist Eugenio Scalfari,

a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record

teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium.

[That said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional courage required to question the very existence of their institution in light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of billions of their members past and present.

And that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will they? Not likely. Why?

Because what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the international crime families which hold sway over the masses as criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major international crime families and which are the most influential and have the largest memberships?

The Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank); Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers) like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.)

With all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business, politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the driving forces at play.

The masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]
