From a site visitor: “I'm wondering about your explanations of the absolute and answers that you provide people to pace their way from whence they came and where they are going in the infinite cycle--don't you think it's a little confusing to put a tracking device on pools of energy or consciousness? In other words, once folks can annihilate ownership of the body and mind, they haven't gotten over any of their misery because they are then attached to "their pool of energy". Then they'll freak out about whether "their" energy is manifest or not, conscious or not, at rest or not. There's nothing special about the energy in the space called me except that it's pretty cool that it can know itself. Once that energy moves on, why should I care (or how can I care) what happens with it and how am I even tracking it or naming it and segregating it from other energy in its life-cycle and mourning when it becomes unmanifest or whether it will be picked up in another manifestation or when it's at rest or any of those other categories? Energy, conscious energy unmanifested, energy currently manifested in a 500-lb gorilla...I don't see how I can tag any of those as "my energy" and on the other hand none of those are not me.”

F.: Your e-mail was answered privately, but the content affords an opportunity for some pointers to be offered to other site visitors. The four parts of your series of comments will be responded to separately:

1. "I'm wondering about your explanations of the absolute and answers that you provide people to pace their way from whence they came and where they are going in the infinite cycle--don't you think it's a little confusing to put a tracking device on pools of energy or consciousness?"

F.: First, people do not come from anywhere and are not going anywhere. People don’t exist. They didn’t exist “before,” they don’t exist now, and they will have no eternal existence “later.” Energy (with an aspect that allows it to be conscious of if manifested) manifests. Then the bastardization of the consciousness leads to the illusion that people and personas “are.” They aren’t. Next, there’s no guarantee that any cycle will be “infinite.” Portions of certain quantities of previously manifested consciousness might be pulled into the motions of another cycle and then remanifest, but those same portions of certain quantities might just as easily never cycle again. The Field is vast and limitless, so the odds that any portion of any quantity of energy will remanifest aren’t as high as some would like to believe. Cyclings of energy in general shall happen infinitely because energy cannot be destroyed, but it should be clear that no one thing cycles over and over. Also (as noted in the posts that preceded this) once Full Realization happens, there’s no tracking of the I AM and no tracking of the I AM THAT, much less any tracking of energy...which leads to the point you made about putting a “tracking device on pools of energy or consciousness.”

The “device” is not “tracking” pools of energy or consciousness. Consciousness doesn’t deserve the consideration that tracking would entail. Rather than being something splendid, consciousness is instead the very source of bondage. Freedom from bondage is a post-consciousness occurrence, so why track consciousness? Once the garbage is tossed out of the house, no effort is made to track it to the dump. Furthermore, assessments regarding consciousness generally result in it being highly overrated. Walt Whitman said, “Has anyone supposed it lucky to be born? I hasten to inform him or her, it is just as lucky to die, and I know it.” You will be done with consciousness, either now or later. Consider being done with it now. [These words are only for those at the gunpowder stage. For those in the early stages, focus on the "I Am" for as long as necessary to be free of the "I am this role" or "I am that role" mindset.]

You ordered a copy of FROM THE I TO THE ABSOLUTE, so assuming you’ve completed the reading, you know that the “tracking” is of the seven “steps” that are required to move from the erroneous belief in the “I” to an understanding of the Absolute. You also saw that the device (the book's seven-step guide to Realization) explains the seven degrees of separation from Reality that generate all suffering and all misery among programmed and conditioned persons. What the book does track are the three degrees of separation from Reality and the four degrees of movement toward Reality. Further, each of those must be transitioned in order to eliminate all seven degrees of separation from reality, in order to escape the fantasy of the “I,” and in order to know the authenticity of the Absolute. Secondly, the “tracking device” does present in a clear-cut fashion the steps that must be followed, in sequence, in order for Full Realization to happen. While few Advaitan protégés (much less the masses) will ever find the way, the explanations have proved in many cases to provide a process that actually eliminates the confusion and allows the movement to Full Realization to happen. Please enter the silence of contemplation. [The response to #1 continues tomorrow]
