F.: The Advaita teachings dismiss all concepts, including “god,” “hearing a god's voice in one’s head,” “miracles,” “faith,” and “authority.” Too, the Realized give no credibility to “memories,” “timelines,” “separation,” “distance,” or “power,” including the concept of a “supernatural power.”
It has been shown that no sources generate more ignorance and learned ignorance than the beliefs and concepts associated with the third of seven steps to Realization: the religious or spiritual step.
Of course, “The Religious One” and “The Spiritual One” are nothing more than imaginary identities…just ego-states, which brings full circle the discussion of not being able to state the truth.
Before any action is a verbalization of a belief that is taken to be the truth. Before any verbalization of a belief that is taken to be the truth is a thought. Since all thoughts are generated by a fiction-filled “mind,” all thoughts and words and deeds are rooted in fiction…in a lie. Thus, any thought that is stated is not the Truth, and any words used to express a thought are not the Truth.
All ego-states only exist in “the mind”; thus, all ego-states (and all words spoken from the platform of an ego-state) are necessarily false; therefore, the final concept to be discussed which allows person to believe that they know certain truths (which they will verbalize at times) is the concept of “self”:

The truth cannot be spoken even by the Realized, so imagine the magnitude of non-truths flowing from the “minds” and mouths of the non-Realized. The non-Realized haven’t a clue about the unicity but are attached to such concepts as “the multiplicity” and “different from” and “better than.”
Thus, the nature of the non-truths flowing from those “minds” and mouths will necessarily deal with “distance” and “separation from.” Of course there is no such thing as “distance” or “separate from,” yet the egotism that accompanies the assumption of a “false self” as a real identity will generate a belief in phony evidence that in turn leads to such statements as…
…“Well of course I’m my body. Also, my beliefs (“mind”) help define who I am as much my personality. All of that makes me—in fact, makes each of us—unique.”
…”Sometimes I feel close to my spouse / girlfriend / boyfriend, but not always.”
…“In the beginning I felt close to my spouse / girlfriend / boyfriend, but now we have grown apart.”
…“To be honest, I just don’t feel like you’re good enough for me.”
…“At times, I feel separated from myself.”
…“My god is the one true god.”
…“My race is better than those other races.”
….“My country is the greatest of all”...ad infinitum.
Any claim by anyone that he/she can tell you the truth will involve nothing more than beliefs or concepts or ideas that are the totally fallacious products of ego and egotism. The Oneness cannot allow for any possibility of being separated from anything, including the True Self.
Not knowing that You are not separate from YourSelf can be blocked from awareness, but the claim that one is separated from her/his authentic Self is also an impossibility. Too, the claim that one is “distanced” from “others” as a result of race or affiliations or nationality is another effort to state truth which cannot be stated, so that is also a lie.
Therefore, Patty, if you would know the truth, then you must question everything you have ever heard, even pointers offered here. Next, after questioning all that you have held to be truth, at least consider pointers to the contrary. Those pointers will not be statements of truth either, but they will point you away from the non-truths that have been spoken and that you have heard.
Then, by witnessing that which is in a totally opposite “direction,” you can be pointed toward the truth. Lies are stored in the fictional mind; truth can be accessed via the inner resource—the inner guru—which has nothing whatsoever to do with “the mind.” Why?
Because, as had been stated previously on this site…
Consciousness is rooted in the Absolute. The brain is rooted in the elements. The “mind” is rooted in wrong programming and faulty conditioning and lies and concepts and ideas and superstitions and falsehoods..
If you would know the truth, ignore "the mind"...empty it completely. Then allow the manifest consciousness to tap into the truth which cannot be stated but which You have always known but have been blocked from seeing as a result of programming and conditioning.
