FROM SITE VISITOR THOMAS: A follow-up please if I may. I have been told I need to undergo a psychic change and move away from the material and into the spiritual. The a-z series seems to say something else, but I’m not sure what. Will you give more detail about that keeping in mind that I’m very new at this. thank you again. Thomas
F.: Yesterday, this pointer was offered:
“…as you move farther along the “path,” you will note a “movement” beyond the limited, physical five-sense existence.”
Another "shift" also occurs as you move along the “path” toward Realization: there will be a “movement” beyond the three-dimensional (height, width, depth) limitations of the world and into what some call the fourth dimension. As you seek to know the True Self, consider that which is beyond five senses and beyond three dimensions.
[Note: The “fourth dimension” merely refers to a “state” beyond identification with the three-dimensional body and beyond the mind and personality that persons associate with the body.]
So, Thomas, begin your questioning by looking objectively at that body and by answering the following:
"If your arms were removed, are You still You?" Would not the answer be, “I AM.”
"If your legs were removed, are You still You?" Would not the answer be, “I AM.”
"If certain of your organs were removed and replaced, are You still You?" Would not the answer be, “I AM.”
Then seek to find WHO/WHAT is answering “I AM.” The Real You that is answering the questions obviously has nothing to do with the body. (If you believe it is the “mind” that is answering in the affirmative, it is not. Keep seeking.)
If you must seek further, ask:
“Even if all of the above were to happen to the body, can I see the You which is answering ‘I AM’? That is, can I see the Self-ness that IS, even beyond body and mind?” Would You not answer, “NO, I cannot see It.”
“Even if all of the above were to happen to the body, can I touch the You which is answering ‘I AM’? That is, can I touch the Self-ness that IS, even beyond body and mind?” Would You not answer, “NO, I cannot touch It.”
“Even if all of the above were to happen to the body, can I taste the You which is answering ‘I AM’? That is, can I taste the Self-ness that IS, even beyond body and mind?” Would You not answer, “NO, I cannot taste It.”
“Even if all of the above were to happen to the body, can I literally hear the You which is answering ‘I AM’? That is, can I literally hear the Self-ness that IS, even beyond body and mind?” Would You not answer, “NO, I cannot literally hear It.”
“Even if all of the above were to happen to the body, can I smell the You which is answering ‘I AM’? That is, can I smell the Self-ness that IS, even beyond body and mind?” Would You not answer, “NO, I cannot smell It.”
If that You is not accessible via the five senses, yet You are aware of that You, is that awareness not happening at the sixth sense level? If that You cannot be seen or touched or tasted or smelled or literally heard, is it not also beyond the limited three-dimensional state which persons erroneously take to be who they are?
If what You Are has nothing to do with body or mind or personality, then how could a mental, psychic change possibly “improve” upon That Which You Are? How could improving the body or the personality “improve” upon That Which You Are?
Are you understanding that nothing which is associated with the five-sense, three-dimensional self-ness, but which you have nevertheless taken your Self to be, really has anything at all to do with Who/What You Truly Are? Please enter the silence of contemplation. (To be continued)
