I AM THAT vs. “This Is Who I Think I Am”

Trapped in personality and therefore at war with themselves, the non-realized will erroneously think that there is comfort in clinging to their basic personality types and to the many personas and roles they play on the stage of The Theater of the Lie.
They like - and often even love - their relative drama. They claim the realized lead a boring life, but in fact it is they who are bored, trying anything to get the adrenaline flowing, including judging, promoting separation, fighting some people and having sex with some, fighting and having sex with the same person, etc.
98.5% of the persons on the planet are not a Personality Type Four (which is the type most prone to seek authenticity, to be comfortable in the silence, and to be independent rather than dependent and co-dependent).
With only 1.5% being Type Fours, the odds are that the remainder of the persons on the planet will never care about being authentic, will always be dependent and co-dependent (believing that they are entitled to be taken care of) and will not be comfortable with their own company, unless realization happens.
For those of any type that are seeking peace and sanity, the invitation is to understand this:
every statement of duality or nonsense or ignorance has the potential to reinforce faulty conditioning and programming and to strengthen the roadblocks which prevent the pure consciousness from seeing accurately and understanding the truth which can be comprehended but which cannot be stated.
The invitation is to tear down the roadblocks of ideas and concepts and beliefs, to be done with the fiction-filled “mind,” and then to guard the consciousness against being blocked again.
Let the company one keeps be sane and rational and logical company that no longer invites ignorance and madness and chaos into its surroundings and can be comfortable in the silence and without constantly going and doing and zooming.
11. Never compromise your integrity and your dedication to the understanding. To falter in impeccability - that is, to compromise in regards to zero tolerance of anything short of zero concepts - will leave you in as much chaos as those who have never heard these pointers and are trapped in duality 24-7.
If Advaita Vedantins want to talk of “the end of all knowledge,” should there not really be an end to all knowledge? The end of all knowledge is marked by a belief in zero concepts.
Would you automatically take the steps necessary to protect the plant food body if it were being physically attacked? Then why not also take as much care to guard that re-purified, post-realization, universal consciousness from being blocked again?
To abide as one’s original, natural state is to remove oneself from exposure to the all of the nonsense and ignorance of the relative existence.
10. Associate with “company” that does not reinforce beliefs about “separation” and duality. If that is not available, then keep only your own company instead.
The point elicited a number of e-mails. One man now in his 60’s wrote that from his early childhood years, he had been taught (and truly believed) that he was in “good company” and “holy company” in his family’s Southern Baptist, Evangelical church. He felt he had formed “noble friendships” with the other members until he began to question their beliefs in his late teens and early 20's.
He said that he watched his church turn away an African-American family, directing them to the “nigra church” several blocks away. He heard sermons about god not wanting the races to mix and he heard endorsements of political candidates from the pulpit . . . candidates espousing far-right ideologies, supporting separation, and talking of racial supremacy.
He heard preachers reporting from the pulpit that black people descended from Cain who, because he killed his brother, was cursed to forever have the mark of black skin to identify their heritage and to also be cursed forever.
He heard sermons which made clear that church and religion were not hotbeds of devotion to some god and some savior but were hotbeds of devotion to extremist politics, no matter the church or the religion.
He heard time and again persons giving a testimony about “being blessed” or encouraged to “have a blessed day.” He already knew that there was no one to bless anyone. “You’re blessed? Really? By whom are you blessed and why are you blessed rather than the millions suffering or in pain all around the globe?”
(As Dana Carvey’s character “the Church Lady” would say, “Well isn't that special” or as I might say, “Well, aren’t you special!”)
So, the one who believed that he was in “good company” and “holy company” in his family’s Southern Baptist Evangelical church left the church and eventually had to leave the community because of that choice.
He began what would become a multi-decade quest for the answers to key questions before coming across some non-dual pointers a year ago.
Then the man who identified himself as “Gerald” asked a legitimate question: “I was so sure before when I thought I knew exactly what ‘holy and good company’ looked like, but I was wrong.
So my question is why should I believe that I can spot it now? I mean, something about non-duality sounds ‘right,’ but I was so wrong before. How do I know if I seek out the company of those that understand non-duality that it will really be ‘good and noble’?”
The reply will be expanded upon in this posting: Hello Gerald, and thanks for the e-mail. Your journey is one that has been like those described to me on an almost daily basis for the last several decades. There is no single set of “evidences” that you can tick off to check and be sure, but here are a few suggestions:
A. Evidently, when you watched people talking about “love” and “unity” and “the christ” and “god” and then saw them turn away a family trying to worship with them, something was triggered inside.
Call it the inner guru, the inner resource, a vestige of unblocked consciousness that crept forth, a drop of the milk of human kindness, a flash of compassion, a momentary sense of the unicity, at least a fleeting recognition of what Real Love is . . . whatever.
The suggestion is to stay in touch with that unblocked consciousness. If you are hearing nonsense or hypocrisy, that “internal alarm” is most likely still available. Do not hesitate to move from any source that triggers it.
And note: You will not be an agent of separation by doing so. You will merely be guarding an ignorance-free zone, and if other seekers of truth should approach you, you will receive them . . . you will not refuse them.
You will not necessarily isolate but will on occasion welcome those seeking such company as the type that you will be able to offer. And if they do not come? Then you will enjoy the quiet and peaceful company of yourself.
B. Conversely, if you are hearing pointers that direct you to the truth, then something else inside will usually happen. It might be a soft vibration or a tender resonance; some describe it as a not-unpleasant shudder or a slight trembling.
Other seekers have described a more forceful sensation, even a “tremor” or a “contraction” that accompanies the peripetia when they hear a pointer that runs contrary to life-long ‘church teachings’ that the seekers had sensed all along could not possibly be statements of Real Love or unity. Is it becoming clearer why the realized move to the quiet? Gerald moved away from all of the noise and criticism that followed when he began to question beliefs that an entire community defended as ‘holy teachings’ which should never be questioned at all.
