BEING MADE CRAZY, CRAZY, STAYING
CRAZY or AWARE OF CRAZINESS AND SEEKING SANITY

If you were suffering from a
sickness, would you accept treatment from a doctor that does not (1) complete a
diagnosis and (2) identify cause prior to formulating a treatment plan?
Of course not, so why tolerate
having the Ultimate Sickness treated by a guide that does not identify cause
prior to formulating a treatment plan?
A narcissistic know-it-all showed
up in Maharaj’s loft and started spouting the same-old same-old to try to impress his captive audience with the
supposedly “profound” depth and breadth of his knowledge of all things
non-dual.
Eventually, Maharaj stopped the
man’s monologue and explained that he did not give a tinker’s damn about the
man parroting gurus or guides or writers; instead, Maharaj said that he only
wants to hear about a seeker’s own experiences and from one who shares only
what he or she has come to perceive and understand.
In the next series, we will begin
with finding the actual cause of the Sickness which only a non-dual guides try
to address and then formulate a treatment plan which will differ entirely from the plans which have failed humankind for
thousands of years.
As with Covid-19, researchers and
manufacturers of treatment and / or preventive measures were and are constantly
having to change their treatment plans because of mutations. The same applies
with humankind: the problems of humans - be they physical or psychological -
require treatment from a guide that is constantly studying the innumerable mutations
of the Sickness in order to update and modify and improve the version of the Ultimate
Medicine being used to address all aspects of the Ultimate Sickness.
All prescribed prescriptions
stored in your medicine cabinet have an expiration date. So should the Ultimate
Medicine used for addressing the Ultimate Sickness.
Genes mutate. The result is
physical / body problems. Understandings also mutate. The result is mental /
mind problems.
The Effects of Mutations And
Variants - in Humankind, in the Non-Dual Message, in Religious Texts, in
Spiritual Messaging, in Forms of Government, in Economic Systems, in Tribalism,
in the Human Brain, in sicknesses and the Ultimate Sickness, ad infinitum. Everything is Mutated;
hence, the Normal or Natural Has Been Replaced by the Abnormal, by the
Unnatural, by the Supernatural by Magical and Warped Thinking, by Language, and
by the Resulting Warped, Detrimental Behavior.]

Tools That Can Assist with the Restoration to Sanity: ‘The 180-Degree Rule’”
In
upcoming posts, there will be further discussion of the non-duality-related
aspects which are contributing to this more-widespread-than-ever phenomenon of
coldness and distancing and shifting away from expressing Real Love and love,
including such aspects as personality, acculturation, and the sense of
separation which the teachings try to eliminate. Consider:
Jennifer Jones: “Touching and being touched is a basic human need; some would
suggest it is as significant a need as food and shelter. Animals the world over
have the need for touch in common, suggesting our tactile abilities developed
very early in our evolutionary history.
“We know babies who are deprived of touch often do not survive, and those
elderly adults who are deprived of touch often wither. And we know there are
specific life-giving hormones and chemicals created in our bodies as a response
to being touched.
“We know that people who are compassionately touched often feel happier, more
alert, more safe, more understood, and more communicative. Some researchers
have described the need for touch as ‘skin hunger,’ suggesting the desire and
need for touch is an actual craving, much like hunger for nutrients and water,
existing in our physiology.
“While hunger for food may be easily recognized, the hunger for touch may
manifest as ‘depression, hallucinations, moodiness, anxiety, irritability,
boredom, pain’ and other physical symptoms. If we realize how truly essential
touch is, perhaps it would be beneficial if we increase the amount of touch in
our intimate relationships.
“We may not easily observe how a gentle touch, a little hug, or a soft kiss impacts
our physiology, but we are certain that it does. Appropriate touch is a
powerful and tender way to easily and simply bring feelings of love into a
relationship. Touch is a way to share or express feelings that may be more
powerful than the spoken word or gift giving.
“I deeply believe that the more we feel loved, appreciated, cherished, and
valued, the healthier, happier, and more fulfilling our relationships.
“Touch is one of the most powerful and sensitive of all senses. Kind and
appropriate touching sends a message to our very spirit and heart that we are
valued, that we are safe, that we matter ... that we exist.”
No discussion of the insanity that now exists on a global basis can be complete
without addressing the modern tendency to avoid appropriate touching and to
avoid the verbal expression of Love / love.
That does not refer to an aversion to being touched as a result of having been molested, though professionals address that issue on a regular basis; it does not refer to those suffering from an attachment disorder because of the mental damage resulting from warped parenting, though professionals address that issue on a regular basis.
Those factors notwithstanding, acculturation can also generate an aversion to touching. (See the recounting yesterday of an incident with a former wife and her mother who blame “their Germanic, Anglo-Saxon culture” for their aversion to even appropriate touching, which - yes - many cultures do not encourage.)
Of interest over the decades has been the incongruity of those who have come here and talked of “improving the world,” talked about “spreading world peace,” or spoke of “helping to bring love and harmony to the people around the globe.”
The incongruity - the ironic peculiarity - that has always tainted the talk
about their lofty goals for the entire planet is the fact that they have not “changed
themselves” or modified in the least the ego-driven, peace-breaking conditions
in their own homes and relationships.
They would bring peace to “the world” without having brought peace into their
homes, much less into their very being. They speak insanely of giving away that
which they do not have, namely, unwavering love and steadfast harmony and
stability vs. chaos in their own relative existence and in their own
relationships.
The message that Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj offered to such types amounted to . .
.
physician, heal thyself, and
speak not of the war next door until you bring peace into your own home,
and
if
it is peace that you believe is essential, then seek it not for “the world” but
for yourself.
“The 180-Degree Rule” is a tool offered here which seekers are invited to use
to see if their words about “love” - or about Real Love as well, if they know
what that is - correspond with their actions.
