REGARDING "THE ABSOLUTE"
In regards to non-duality, the term "the Absolute" merely refers to a specific field of energy or to a vast, near-infinite pool of specific energy.
There are dozens and dozens of types of energy. As for the specific types making up the Absolute, there are conscious-energy and awareness-energy.
To assign some special status to "The Absolute" is to reinforce
duality: "special" vs. "ordinary" and "status"
vs. "unimportant."
All which is, is energy-matter.
There is nothing special about energy and nothing special about matter.
Therefore "All" does not deserve to be considered "special or
status-worthy or different."
Stated otherwise, nothing deserves to be considered "special or
status-worthy or different." That includes all things and all people and
all places.
There is nothing that should be considered to be special or status-worthy or
different because that would reinforce a false belief in duality.
So, the Absolute is nothing more than a field of energy.
Yes, all forms of energy have certain properties that might
"distinguish" them from other forms of energy, but - in the end -
they are just energy.
One property of the energy in that field called the Absolute is its
dormant-state property of awareness without aware-of-ness.
Another property of that energy is the fact that, if that energy should
manifest within a space or form - such as "a human" - then the former
awareness without aware-of-ness can function differently for a finite period of
time.
It can, if manifested in a form or space, exhibit conscious-of-ness. An
acorn-cum-consciousness can eventually form a forest of oak trees;
human-bodies-cum-consciousness can eventually form populations that number in
the billions; deer-cum-consciousness can form entire herds.
The word "absolute" was well-chosen by sages, as revealed by some of
the synonyms of the word "absolute," including "pure,"
"uncontaminated," "unconditional,"
"unconditioned," "unqualified," "unlimited,"
"unadulterated," and "unambiguous."
Those words distinguish the condition of the non-manifested energy form
referred to as "awareness" from the manifested form called
"consciousness."
In that state, if not manifested within a "confined space" such as that formed by a composite unity / a human body or any comparable body, then there will be no conscious-of-ness nor any aware-of-ness. Those can only happen if the energy in the Absolute in it antecedent state manifests under relative conditions.
If it were not for the widespread "knowledge" (a.k.a., "learned
ignorance") among billions of human-bodies-cum-consciousness - whose
leading and debilitating legacy to their offspring is their learned ignorance -
then the manifested consciousness would be . . .
.
. . "pure," "uncontaminated," "unconditional,"
"unconditioned," "unqualified," "unlimited,"
"unadulterated," and "unambiguous," as is the case with its
antecedent state of awareness.
Thus, if full realization happens, the remainder of the relative existence is
marked by awareness rather than being marred by conscious-energy which has been
blocked / contaminated.
The fact is that, among all instances of manifested consciousness except for
those cases involving humans, the consciousness does function exactly as it did
in its antecedent state.
That is, it functions exactly as it did per its "Original (Antecedent) Nature, so birds and
fish and animals and all else except humans function via a form of manifested
consciousness that is "pure," "uncontaminated,"
"unconditional," "unconditioned," "unqualified,"
"unlimited," "unadulterated," and "unambiguous."
To the contrary, when the consciousness manifests in a form or space called “a
human,” then that body-cum-consciousness is soon exposed to programming and
conditioning and domestication and acculturation;
it
will soon be taught all sorts of false beliefs, bogus concepts, and fallacious
ideas that are based in myth and superstition and will be taught dreamed up
concepts about "other-world Powers" that supposedly cause everything
that happens on the planet, resulting in another expansive collection of
learned ignorance called "dogma."
The result is that the consciousness which is manifested in those
human-bodies-cum-consciousness soon becomes blocked or impure, contaminated,
conditional, conditioned, qualified, limited, adulterated, and ambiguous.
That contaminating / blocking process results in several degrees of separation
from Reality / reality, in several degrees of separation from awareness of what
the consciousness truly is, and in several degrees of separation from awareness
of its original, unadulterated nature.
Traits of a relative existence that is driven by quantities of conscious-energy
that have been rendered impure, contaminated, conditional, conditioned,
qualified, limited, adulterated, and ambiguous include abiding in an unnatural
manner and / or in a supernatural manner rather than in a nisarga (natural)
manner.
Multiple steps were involved in the-graduated-bastardization-of-consciousness
process, so multiple steps of “re-purification” or “unblocking” must happen if
the consciousness is to be restored to its original, natural, non-dual,
no-concept, unadulterated state.
The purpose of moving along the entire course of the "path" is to
know the beingness, yes, but also to transcend even that and then to merge into
the Absolute, to understand the awareness, and to function in the manner of
that Original Nature which is beyond both beingness and non-beingness and, most
certainly, beyond contamination and adulteration.
To “merge into the Absolute” is to allow all ego-states and identities to
vanish in the process, and then to abide as the Absolute for the remainder of
the manifestation. (A few will transcend even that and abide as the
nothingness.)
Persons, even though they take themselves to be the roles they play, are no
different from the realized. All that is happening in both cases is that
conscious-energy manifested, became obstructed by concepts and by learned
ignorance, and then has either
(A) not been un-obscured - resulting in the belief that personas are real -
or
(B)
it manifested, became obscured, and has been un-obscured (as a result of
following the entire "path" to Full Realization).
The exact same providence awaits those who take themselves to be persons as
well as those who know what they really are: the ultimate fate of all
manifested consciousness is that it will unmanifest and will be re-absorbed into the
pool of universal consciousness / awareness / the "Absolute."
The guaranteed cycling of conscious-energy means that those who believe themselves
to be persons will eventually be free of all concerns, just as is the case with
the realized.
Post-manifestation,
no "one" and no "soul" and no "being" or anything
else will exist to be miserable or joyful, to be punished or rewarded.
When the consciousness unmanifests and merges into that vast pool of energy
called “The Absolute,” it knows nothing.
It returns to its original nature, to its original condition, to its original
state of being awareness that is not aware of anything.
Ultimately, therefore, it is irrelevant if any given speck of consciousness
when manifested (1) knew itself or (2) mistook itself for the roles that the
obstructed consciousness leads persons to think they are (except for the fact
that the latter generates misery and suffering throughout the relative
existence).
But
post-manifestation? No difference, no duality, so no heaven vs. hell, no reward
vs. punishment, no sex orgies vs. fire-induced pain. (Want to be free and at
peace? Then be free of belief in those dualistic concepts.)
The only difference happens NOW, not "later": persons suffer chaos
and emotional intoxication while the realized witness and feel.
After the consciousness is no longer manifested, the result is the same:
consciousness will be unmanifested and unknowing.
As Szent-Gyorgyi said, “What drives life is . . . a little electric current,
set up by the sunshine.” Simple, yes? If that fact is understood, then what
room remains for arrogance, for ego, for the assumption of ego-states as
identities, or for the dualistic belief in "different-from" and
"better-than" or "two" or "apart from"?
