REGARDING "BACK TO THE ABSOLUTE"
and then
"BACK TO THE RELATIVE"
FIRST, BACK TO THE ABSOLUTE
When Maharaj (and, yes, I as well) were using a “seven-step path” instead of the “four-step path” which he used in “his later years” and which I have been offering for many years, he advised:
“. . . You should go back, reverse, to the source”
and
“Follow the same path by which you came.”
If one is lost in a forest, the easiest way out would be to follow the same route you took to become lost but in the exact reverse order if you would no longer be lost. That is what Maharaj was suggesting, too; however, what he did not say was, “When you leave relative things behind in order to reach and see and understand the Absolute (pure) state from which you came, then just stay there.”
The plan is not to abandon the AM-ness completely and move into some supposedly noumenal version of an out-of-touch-with-relative-realities-and-relative-truths and live in some crazy Foo-Foo Land of dissociation.
That’s what some schizophrenics do and what some obsessive seekers try to do, both sometimes capable of being subsumed by some form of psychosis and unable to differentiate between what is real and what is imaginary.
No, the plan was to (A) go back, reverse, to the source, (to THAT), by following the same path by which you came in and ended up being trapped in false body and mind and personality identifications, then to (B) return to the relative existence and abide naturally, being in touch with Absolute Reality as well as the realities of the relative existence.
To emphasize: the "path" discussed in the book FROM THE I TO THE ABSOLUTE is a seven-step "path." As noted, the path used originally by Maharaj was a seven-step path but was modified later to a four-step path. Same here.
If seekers complete all of the steps
of the "journey" on whichever "path" they use to seek, then they might understand exactly
(step-by-step) how it happened that a speck of conscious-energy moved from the Absolute state to the
false belief that one is a body.
If you complete the entire "journey," then you will also understand
the process which can move seekers from believing that they are "the
body" to a state of full realization (where one is free of belief in all learned
ignorance), and then to an understanding of what the Absolute is and what the
Absolute is not.
Once all of the steps are understood, then a seeker will also understand all
phases of the complete cycle: the "coming in and contamination of the
consciousness" phase; the "going back to the Absolute and
re-purifying or unblocking the consciousness" phase; and then the "returning
to the relative but with pure / unblocked consciousness this time" phase.
You will understand each step of "the way in," all the way from the
Absolute to body identification; then you will understand why the way to full realization
and to abiding as the Absolute happens only when each of those steps is taken
again, in reverse order.
You will understand that nothing is created or destroyed, that nothing is born
or dies, and that all merely cycles (including an understanding of how the
"cycling in" happens and how the "cycling out" happens).
Then, you will also understand that all "timelines" are a hoax,
including the timeline which suggests that there is a birth followed by life
followed by death followed by judgment that is eventually followed by either
eternal reward or eternal punishment.
Only from the conditioned mind of an assumed "self" can
self-importance come.
When the last "who" disappears, the understanding of THAT appears.
The question is not, "Who am I?" The question is, "What am I?”
and, even more to point, “What am I not?”
If it is chaos and change that you find unacceptable, then complete the
"journey" and you will understand that freedom from chaos and change
comes by way of knowing that you are the Absolute and by your abiding in a
fixed, unshakable, post-realization manner after having overlaid Reality on the
relative.
Know that "the Real" is fixed, immutable, ineradicable, constant,
stable, and invariable.
All that is perceived as being variable is misperception, merely fiction
imagined via a "variable mind."
I Am prior to beingness, prior to consciousness, and even prior to
non-beingness. I have passed eternity being That, but for now I just happen to
also be involved in a temporary movement with other waves and particles of
energy during this present, finite cycling into manifestation.
This "floyd" is nothing more than the result an act of friction with
22,000,000 to 1 odds of any particular sperm finding its way to any particular
egg.
Therefore, this "floyd" is nothing more than the result of a cosmic
accident . . . of chance . . . of pure happenstance . . . an accident that was
facilitated along the way by that prurient-inspired act of friction. Wherefore
"pride," then? Wherefore a sense of "specialness," then?
And wherefore any sense of "Specialness," either?
NEXT, BACK TO THE RELATIVE AFTER HAVING "RETURNED" TO THE ABSOLUTE
For the masses, the
manifestation-to-mahasamadhi process is distorted as a result of their having
completed only one leg of a three-leg "journey" (which they take to
be a "birth-life-death-eternal-life" journey).
For the masses, their one-leg-only "journey" entails (a)
manifestation, (b) undergoing the step-seven process of disintegration that
moves one from the awareness / Absolute state and to (c) being left in that
delusional condition which cannot possibly be any more removed from Reality,
namely, body identification.
The completion of that one leg of what is actually a three-leg
"journey" is all that will happen with most persons because they will
never seek, 97% of all people - according to one survey - believing that they
have already "found the answer" via the dogma they have been taught
in their organized religion.
On the "coming in" leg, most will be introduced to religious or
spiritual personas and will be guided by their programmers to stay there.
Their "guide" will only guide
them as far as the third of seven steps (the religious and / or spiritual
step), so that 97% of the planet's population will remain firmly attached to
the supernatural ideas and magical thinking and myth-based beliefs and
superstition-based concepts that they have been taught by way of their
organized religion. Millions more claim membership in what they see as their
special "spiritual, not religious, program."
For the few who do seek realization via non-duality, many undertake only a
two-leg "journey," having first undergone the "coming in"
leg and then completing the "going back" leg and thereafter claiming
that they abide "there" or as "THAT" or as "the
Absolute alone."
For the fully realized that understand the Nisarga Yoga as well, a three-leg
"journey" is completed.
So, the first leg is the "coming in / manifestation" phase; the
second leg is the "going back to the Absolute" phase; the third leg
is the "coming back to the relative after realizing" phase.
With the third leg having been completed, “Reality” is overlaid upon the
relative existence and the bliss is enjoyed during the only opportunity
available for it to be enjoyed, namely, NOW.
Full realization, if reached via the Direct Path Method and the Nisarga Yoga,
will allow for the completion of all three legs of the three-leg
"journey" and will allow for the understanding that this
"journey" - this process - is not about "being uniquely and
singularly THAT."
They will understand that enlightenment actually lightens; they will
understand, as a result of having completed all three legs of the three-leg
"journey," that full realization is not about a lightness of THAT;
and they will understand that the post-realization lightness is actually the
lightness of being, the lightness of the I-AM-ness.
They alone will be the ones being bathed in the full light of the noonday sun,
and they alone will know the lightness and relish it.
Because the summative statement "I AM THAT; I AM" has nothing to do
with two-ness, then the realized can fixate as THAT and also as this AM-ness,
"simultaneously."
That fixation can happen, though, only when Reality is overlaid on the
relative, only when "reality" is cloaked in Reality, so to speak.
It is the one-leg "journey" which results in the misery and suffering
and chaos that are typical among the non-realized masses of the planet.
Completion of the two-leg "journey" will typically result in persons
taking themselves to be deep philosophers or some really boring "Supreme
This" or "Supreme That" or some overly-serious, near-robotic
persons who claim to be "beyond it all."
Having received only the dim light of the dawn, there is among those types a
drabness that marks and mars their existence as a result of being far too
serious, too grave, too solemn, too stern, too grim, too humorless, and far too
severe overall.
Having completed only two legs of the three-leg "journey," many adopt
labels that trap them in ignorance while thinking they are "The Super Knower"
and some "Supreme Self," believing that they have learned something
momentous that has rendered them important and significant and crucial.
They are not important and significant and crucial, yet they are not,
dualistically, unimportant or insignificant or slight, either.
The fully realized understand that they just are. It is totally clear that the
I AM just IS. That is a significant part of what the Nisarga Yoga is about.
In the process of completing all three legs, the seekers that finally realize
fully will have "come in," gone "back out," and then
"come back in" (but in a totally different fashion the second time
"in").
Humans that have completed all three legs will once again be in touch with
their original nature, so natural living will happen.
A lightness of being will thereafter characterize the entire remainder of the
beingness, so humans can continue throughout the rest of the relative existence
and live in an AS IF manner that puts them on the same track as all other forms
/ spaces that are abiding naturally, including the deer, the birds, the fish,
etc.
Because the Nisarga Yoga allows the original-but-lost sanity to be restored,
then the abidance unfolds in the same manner as that among all forms / spaces
that abide sanely (i.e., naturally rather than unnaturally or supernaturally).
It should also be clear at this point why a "fully realized guide" is usually
required for the "journey": some guides will guide their followers to
the third step and encourage them to fixate in their religious or spiritual
personas / false identities;
some will guide seekers to that wasteland (which is mistaken for some kind of
lotusland) which is somewhere between the building of castes in the air and
moving into those mental castles which are far removed from reality or Reality
either one;
but only a few will guide seekers, who have completed one-leg of the journey so
far, through all of the going-back steps on the second leg and then through all
of the steps on the coming-back-in-again leg.
An experienced escort is also required to complete the non-optional,
guide-directed self-inquiry which must be completed thoroughly and honestly..
Meanwhile, it is ignorance which will inspire those who have completed two legs
of a three-leg "journey" to assert "It is I who have truly
arrived!"
It is only the clarity and humility of knowing that one has not yet arrived
that might allow some seekers to accept the guidance required from one that has
traveled all three legs of the three-leg "journey" and thereby assist
those seekers with the completion of all three legs of the entire
"journey" as well.
If they complete all three legs, then they can abide as their “Original Nature”
for the remainder of the manifestation and live out the relative existence is a
nisarga (natural) fashion.
To be continued.
