Matter
REGARDING "NO DESIRES AND NO FEARS"
Every assumed or assigned persona / personality brings with it a primary desire
or a primary fear.
For example: "The Helpers" have such a desire to be loved that they
will put the interests of others ahead of their need to care for themselves.
As for fear,
more than anything they fear that they will never receive the love that they
desired in childhood but did not receive in the quantities that they felt they
deserved; thus, a "Helper's" helping - which appears to be about
"others" - is really only about "self."
"The Achievers" have a desire to be successful (as
"success" is defined by them and their cultures) and they have an
abject fear of failure.
"The Boss" or "The Controller" desires to be in charge and
has a fear that others will use or abuse them, so they use and abuse first.
Post-realization, nothing remains that fears or desires anything. All is
witnessed, purely, from a position of non-attachment, from a position of
non-alignment, from a position of neutrality.
Nothing remains post-realization that prefers either an extension of the
manifestation nor an end to the manifestation. All functionings happen
spontaneously - without the influence of any of the hidden agendas that drive
personas.
When all is witnessed purely from a position of neutrality, then freedom from
desires will come. (Just as well, since one's desires will never be met
consistently anyway.)
Also, freedom from all fears will come. (Just as well since that which is
feared seldom comes in the manner that was imagined anyway.)
Enjoyment, however, does most certainly happen, even though nothing is desired.
Nothing is feared since there is nothing to register fear.
The
consciousness functions from a position of neutrality, knowing that if persons
are trapped in seeking the applause of the village, they must also be prepared
to accept the scorn of the town as well.
Post-realization, no “good” label is being sought and no “bad” label is being
avoided. All is neutral, and that position of neutrality that manifests via full
realization is available by most if they find a guide to direct them along the
direct "path."
REGARDING "THE UNICITY"
Understanding the unicity makes clear that a pile of ashes, a pile of dust,
you, a dog, a tree, a piano, a plant - as well as "blacks,"
"whites," "browns," "yellows," and
"reds" - are no different.
All “seemingly different things” are one thing.
Supposed "differences" are perceived / misperceived by the human eye,
are misunderstood as a result of warped “minds,” and are actually the result of
varying vibrational frequencies only.
That which is called "a tree" is no different from a table which was
made from that tree except that the tree form and the table form are vibrating
at different frequencies.
(One non-dualist in the U.K. notes that what is called "a table" is
not a table at all but is actually just "tably wood.")
You are vibrating energy, but "you" - and all that is taken to be a
multiplicity of "you's" - is actually "one and the same"
but is vibrating at different frequencies.
The variances in vibrational frequencies which result in a variety of
appearances contribute to misperceptions and misunderstandings.
Variances in vibrational frequencies, therefore, are at the root of all sense
of separation, all sense of different-from-ness, all sense of better-than-ness,
and, therefore, all ego and egotism and arrogance and conflict.
Humanity’s post-programming and post-conditioning and post-domestication and
post-acculturation propensity for misperceiving everything makes persons
believe that differences are real rather than grasping the truth of the unity
beyond the wrongly-perceived multiplicity.
Abidance as the consciousness guarantees that duality will never be forfeited
completely. Only the Awareness is “One” without any “one,” and only abidance as
Awareness can result in being fully awake, fully conscious, and fully aware
even as the consciousness is manifested.
The pure, universal consciousness can understand the "not two." Awareness is
the absolute "not two."
If you stay alert to the reality of "not two-ness," then for the sake
of discussion you might take pure consciousness to be the essence of beingness,
the re-purified consciousness to be the essence of non-beingness, and awareness
to be the essence of the Reality beyond both beingness and non-beingness.
In the no-concept, non-dual Reality, there is no "one thing as opposed to
some other thing."
To believe that one thing can be opposed to another thing is to set the stage
for persons / personas to be opposed to anything or everything - specifically,
to anything and everything that a persona / personality believes is threatening
its (bogus) existence or interfering with its delusion-based agenda /
continuity.
The "Realized Advaitin" realizes that "I AM THAT; I AM" can
be stated and understood without any sense of duality at all.
The "Realized Advaitin" also realizes that "I AM THAT; I AM" can be stated and understood as "Awareness; Consciousness."
