When Religious and Spiritual Beliefs Lead Persons to Ignore Calls during the Relative Existence for Emergency Action

“Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword.”

Maharaj came to see that his initial version of the Ultimate Medicine based in its compounded content of dogma plus non-duality pointers was totally ineffective in inspiring people to take the actions required to address the actual root of their relative problems.

He later came to see that his revised version of the Ultimate Medicine based in its compounded content of spirituality plus non-duality pointers was also totally ineffective in inspiring people to take the actions required to address the actual root of their relative problems.

He observed some persons smoking hash during their “spiritual exercises” and walked past some of them living on the streets:



They certainly seemed to be “at peace.” They certainly looked to the unwary witness to be functioning without “a care in the world.”

And they were no different whatsoever from the man discussed earlier, the one who had been unemployed from January to November of 2007.

He had been living off withdrawals from his 401k retirement fund, withdrawals that were accompanied with penalties and forfeited earnings of interest. He said that he only had enough money remaining in his 401k to pay the bills for one more month.

“After that,” he said, “I don’t know what my wife and child and I will be doing in January for food and housing, but, you know what, Floyd? In God's time, not mine.”

Maharaj heard similar promises from Hindus and Catholics, also based in the same kind of magical thinking which that man shared. He heard Christians who sought to bring new members into the fold by promising them what Paul the Apostle referred to as “a peace that is beyond all understanding.” Members of other sky cults promise the same.

And Maharaj heard many speak as the man did to me in November of 2007, basically saying, “I’m turning everything over to the gods and goddesses, Maharaj. They will take care of me and mine.”

And he saw that a dogma / non-dual version of the Medicine and a spirituality / non-dual version of the Medicine had both proved to be ineffective. He came to understand that there is no "too-little-dogma" factor that causes the Ultimate Sickness and that there is no "spiritual malady" that causes the Ultimate Sickness. He came to see that the Ultimate Sickness is centered in the mind and that the mind is the root of humankind’s relative problems.

Yet what Yeshu’a said regarding the modern day promises of "peace" was, “Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword.”

Yeshu'a said, “I have come to turn a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.” Meaning?

Meaning, not to turn person A against person B but to turn personas A B, C, D, and E against themselves, allowing persons to see that false identities and the hidden agendas of those identities generate a sense of separation and conflict. Waiting for God to intervene or to “send His Son to rescue you?”

What a lie to believe in. What a lie that will inspire you into inaction and escapism and avoidance of the called-for work and effort on your part.

With that understanding, wherefore any need to have some "power" that one can theoretically "turn unwanted things over to"? Believe that anything "here" can be turned over to something "there," and believe that god is everywhere and is everything, and you might as well worship the tree in the back yard. It also qualifies as god, what with that "god is everything" claim.

So go bark at the bark and tell it that you are turning over your worries to it. Tell it you want it to fix such relative issues as the loss of employment and the fear of losing your home and the anger and fear over the loss of your 401k retirement funds.

A major obstacle to behaving sanely around what actions should be taken and what actions should not be taken involves (1) a disparity in assigning priority and (2) a tendency to have a fictional “go-to” solution for everything that arises (and calls for being addressed immediately) but which will not be addressed at all because persons who have been fooled have accepted a false belief and learned how to use that belief in order to avoid and evade having to take action and dodge and duck and avert.

When persons suffer a deep cut that is resulting in a significant loss of blood, they are all about focusing on that relative problem and all about tuning out everything else in order to focus solely on addressing the problem immediately by rushing to an emergency room. Some are even all about panicking, being alarmed, being distressed, being flustered, etc.

 But the other relative issues which are calling for that same level of attention and action can be denied and ignored for decades. 

Next, the seeker of the no-concept, non-dual reality that moves far enough along “the path” notices that the use of words and phrases such as “better off” or “worse off” or “good” or “bad” automatically vanishes.

Such words and terms are non-existent in the Vocabulary of Realization, so there is never even the slightest tendency to apply one label or the other to any happening. I Am and whatever is . . . it just is. That is all.

Or consider an alternative:

When asked if happenings happen here that provide food, clothing, shelter, etc., the answer is "of course." But is there ever any ego-state involved . . . any involvement or attachment that can trigger fear or desire or worry or anxiety or dread? Absolutely not. The issue is not about whether turning over one’s worries and fears and anxieties to a god can work or not.

The issue is not about whether relief comes or not, and the issue is not about how long such relief lasts if it seems to come. The issue is, WHO (what ego-state) thinks she / he is exposed, vulnerable, or threatened in a way that makes the "mind" believe that “relief” is needed, that worry and dread and anxiety must be turned over to some fictional power in some other world that is manipulating events in what is erroneously taken to be “this world”?

The task is not to seek some external power to help solve relative “problems.” Those perceived problems are merely the weeds, and the proper approach for handling the issue of weeds is not to trim them occasionally but to cut them out at the root. How are you to be done with the heaviness and reach that point of lightness unless all which is generating dread and worry is cut out at the root?

Rather than the perceived heaviness, there can be as a result of realization and incredible lightness. Might  times of heaviness come? Of course, but they do not trigger emotional intoxication and they do not generate avoidance. 

The lightness manifests after reaching the original state that is even beyond the “path,” beyond an understanding of the Absolute and the beingness, and beyond realization of authenticity and truth. 

Louise in Cape Town, South Africa once described in the following way what has happened since reaching an understanding of the nothingness which is beyond any perceptions of somethingness and WHO-ness:

On Tuesday, walking on the Green Belt, there was this brief exhilarating disappearance of "louise" - the lightness and freedom - the vastness of this view - like that feeling in the tummy when a lift (elevator) drops too fast - falling through space.

Too absolutely funny that all the anxieties were about a "louise" who does not exist - an attempt to find an already existing freedom.

The “experience” during this happening was of instantly being outside of the body – being vast and undefined – no boundaries and watching the “scene” from this vast perspective.

What can possibly touch a speck of consciousness which is that free as a result of newly-found clarity? What worry or anxiety or dread could possibly attach to a quantity of energy that is so light and free and vast and undefined? 

What could possibly bind the boundless? What could possibly attach to the witness that is so far removed from the relative happening that all events are merely being watched objectively from a distance?

Wherefore any need for talk of - much less belief in - some “power” that you can turn something over to? It would be no different for you to take the spoiled meat that was left out and that is creating a horrible stench inside your home and putting it in the trash bin in the pantry rather than being rid of it once and for all.

You can turn it over to the trash bin and the stench continues or you can turn it over to the collectors who will take the mess away to a landfill. And the garbage collectors are far more efficient than the god that a visitor and his sister-in-law tried to turn their garbage over to. Why?

The collectors make sure that it does not ever come back. Your “god” does not perform so well. As he was advised, "You believe in a dreamed up entity that you and she have taken to be real yet you do not see that “He” is being out-performed by a trash collector. My, oh, my. What a distortion to tote about in that "delusion carrier" called "the mind."

THE EXPLANATION


If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.

Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of god in the past was of a weak god, an absentee god, A Santa Claus-type god, a mean, punishing, vindictive god, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring god whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to."

The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a god that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").

Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring god,' any supposed god that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'god' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part.

"That is, a non-narcissistic their god / their goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'god' and focus on the 'god as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you." 

Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:


"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"

"Heaven and earth shall fade away."

--Yeshu'a (Jesus)

and 


"Heaven and hell are not geographic places

but are states of mind, nothing more than

concepts dreamed up by men."

--Pope John Paul II 

"There is no hell."

--Pope Francis, the current pope

in an interview with journalist Eugenio Scalfari,

a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record

teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium.

[That said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional courage required to question the very existence of their institution in light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of billions of their members past and present.

And that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will they? Not likely. Why?

Because what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the international crime families which hold sway over the masses as criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major international crime families and which are the most influential and have the largest memberships?

The Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank); Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers) like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.)

With all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business, politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the driving forces at play.

The masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]

"Sapolsky, Maharaj, and the Non-Dual Teachings"

Dr. Robert Maurice Sapolsky is an American neuroendocrinologist; a professor of biology, neuroscience, and neurosurgery at Stanford University; a researcher; an author; and a Research Associate at the National Museums of Kenya.

There is much that a non-dualist or Advaitin or Nisargan can relate to by comparing and contrasting what Sapolsky reveals about the way certain troops of baboons live in Africa with the way that humans abide all around the globe.

This 152-page eBook catalogues the common, non-dual message shared by Sapolsky and Maharaj and reveals the ways that Sapolsky’s scientific research supports the non-dual pointers offered by Maharaj.

IV.
Seeking

In “PART ONE” it will be seen that most persons on the planet are not seeking, and most will never seek, but for those who are seeking, most will face several obstacles:

In “PART TWO” of this book, it will be seen why many criticized Maharaj for “changing his message in his later talks.” It will be seen that the changes were not about changing the message per se as much as about changing his methodology as he experimented with one version of the Ultimate Medicine after another in order to try to find an effective means for addressing the Ultimate Sickness.

He tried a religious version of the Medicine, a Spiritual version of the Medicine, and finally settled on a version which addressed to Sickness at its core . . . at the mental and emotional level.

V.
"THE MOST DANGEROUS BELIEF OF ALL"

“Dangerous” is a term that can only apply during the relative existence, but of those who do commit suicide, for example, how many shoot themselves in the foot over and over until they “bleed out”? None. They shoot themselves in the head. Why? In order to try to stop the noise - to try to stop the chatter of a thousand monkeys – to stop the noisy mind which is the area that stores the ideas, notions, concepts, mind-stuff, etc. which drives them into the depths of insanity.

And what are those ideas, notions, concepts, etc. called, collectively? "Their beliefs." The irony? They are not their beliefs at all. They are the beliefs of “others” that were set in place via programming, conditioning, etc. and which persons then think are their own.

And what are those beliefs rooted in, and what reinforces those beliefs and convinces persons that they are sacred and worth fighting over and even sometimes worth dying for? Blind faith.
