WHY MAHARAJ ABANDONED RELIGIOUS AND SPIRITUAL VERSIONS OF THE ULTIMATE MEDICINE AND TURNED HIS FOCUS TO PSYCHOLOGICAL HEALING INSTEAD [Continued from yesterday] Shared yesterday were the words of Louise in Cape Town,  South Africa who described what has happened since reaching an understanding of the nothingness. She wrote:  On Tuesday, walking on the Green Belt, there was this brief exhilarating disappearance of "louise" - the lightness and freedom - the vastness of this view - like that feeling in the tummy when a lift (elevator) drops too fast - falling through space. Too absolutely funny that all the anxieties were about a "louise" who does not exist - an attempt to find an already existing freedom. The “experience” during this happening was of instantly being outside of the body – being vast and undefined – no boundaries and watching the “scene” from this vast perspective. Meanwhile, the man writing about his sister-in-law refused to surrender to a different perspective which was offered. (It has been asked why I did not end such a discussion immediately as I do nowadays, using a sort of “tossing him out of the loft” approach? Well, I’d known the guy since August of 1965 when we met in college and then stayed in touch until September 2021 when he took mahasamadhi after a short spell with cancer. So I humored him.) He read the piece above penned by Louise which I shared at about the same time that he emailed me about his sister-in-law, so I used her pointers to address his continuing comments. He read her words and them I wrote to him: “As with Louise, having moved some distance for all this relative ‘stuff’ and seeing it as ‘the much-ado-about-nothing’ that it is, I too am nowhere near these relative things that you and your sister-in-law and all persons think are causing them to be worried and anxious and dreadful.” “In fact, abiding ‘in’ (as) my natural state, I am nowhere near the relative things which generate so much discomfort among the non-realized masses. When I say, ‘No one not realized has the slightest clue about where I live’ and that ‘the non-realized could never possibly find me,’ is it any clearer at all why that is fact?” “I am not individuated, so there are no individual problems; furthermore, I tell you that you are not individuated and that you have no individual problems, either. I am not personal, so there are no personal concerns; furthermore, I tell you that you are not personal and that you have no personal problems, either. It is only that storehouse of fiction called your "mind" that convinces you to believe otherwise.” “Understand that pointer and you will not be looking for a fictionalized entity to which you can ‘turn things over.’ Having nothing to turn over, such talk will necessarily and spontaneously stop. Listening to such nonsense will stop, too. And agreeing as you did with her when she used the vocabulary of mind-language to utter her nonsense by the use of mind-speak will stop as well.” “I am without form, beyond beingness and non-beingness, so any Is-ness issues are irrelevant to me; furthermore, I tell you that you are beyond beingness and non-beingness and that Is-ness issues can also be irrelevant to you, if you but allow the third eye to see beyond the misperceptions that seem to be seen by the two faulty eyes that you are currently using.” “I have no beliefs - which is all fills every mind - so I have no mind; therefore, I deal not with the “head-centered problems” that the non-realized experience, including the chatter of a thousand monkeys in their heads and including the nonsensical beliefs that drive nonsensical talk and nonsensical behavior. If you have not discarded the “mind,” the same cannot be said of you.” “Do I still have to address relative BS issues which arise? Of course, but in the past week consider the approach taken with four issues:" “I handled the fraudulent charges that appeared on my credit card statement; I dealt with the erroneous withholding charges on a check I received; I dealt with my A-fib issues when they flared up”; “I dealt with the internet provider (make that, ‘my internet non-provider,’ more often than not). And all four were dealt with without emotional intoxication, functioning from a posture of merely witnessing and while operating with an attitude of neutrality.” "Most importantly to this discussion, I did not sit on my ass and refuse to take the necessary actions around those four issues and I did not say, “I need to find someone to turn this over to. That option is only available to (1) magical thinkers and fanatics who are spiritually intoxicated or to (2) the super rich who can afford to surround themselves with a staff of hired troubleshooters.” “Now, let’s go back to your original email. You wrote: My wife’s sister in law, a real nut if I were into labeling people and things, has hit a financial crisis since her husband just lost his job. She said the weird thing is that she ‘turned it all over to God’ and now is not worried. You know, when I have ‘bottomed out,’ I have done that in the past and felt relief.” “Consider this: It is said that neurotics build castles in the air and that psychotics move into them. Your e-mail reveals that your sister-in-law (as an active member of one of the major sky cults) is far from having her feet firmly planted on the ground.” “In contrast, some ‘realized non-dualists’ taste what living in a natural fashion is like not by moving into a castle in the air but while visiting the original state, only to be drawn back into the relative at times. Later, the fully realized move to that state once and for all and abide as that. So it is." “Maharaj said: ‘I am stabilized. There is no going into samadhi, or coming down from samadhi. That is over.’ and “I take my stand in the original state where I was not aware that I am.” “Additionally, abiding as one’s original nature is far different from believing that one has moved into a castle in the air. Earlier, there was Louise, the authenticity-driven ‘Pure Witness,’ witnessing from an expanse far removed from the relative realm where all is misperceived by persons. She was witnessing from a limitless and remote distance that offered a clear perspective of all.” “She was functioning as the eagle in the spirit journey / vision that regulars to this site are familiar with. There is quite a difference in a speck of energy witnessing from a distance and persons thinking they have access to ‘A Personalized Power Out There’ - in the heavens or up in the sky - who is at their beck and call.” “Note the difference: (A) one can be determined to be delusional when claiming to be worry-free after turning “relative problems” over to a god but (B) as with Louise - in her description of witnessing relative events from afar - can be seen to not be delusional.” “Louise was free at that moment because she was clear . . . clear that all anxiety and worry and dread are about what some call ‘louise’ but which does not even exist. To call on a god to help with the problems of an illusion such as ‘your sister-in-law’ is not unlike calling on the fire department to extinguish the flames that are burning down your house when you don’t even have a house.” “If a group riding camels through the Sahara were to suddenly see a mirage, would that mirage strike fear and worry in their hearts and minds? Would they send one member of their group back to the nearest town to bring help in order to get rid of the mirage that has seemingly appeared before their eyes?” “Worry and fear (which you admit have driven you for the entirety of your life) are obviously still active in your ‘mind’ or you would not have given credibility to your sister-in-law’s claim and you would not have given a report of how her claim also worked for you during ‘past’ times.” “Basically, you said to me that ‘Someone who does not exist helped someone who also does not exist.’ Sorry, but that’s an insane belief, totally impossible and totally delusional.” “You have admitted that your memories of ‘past’ events are distorted, but now you claim to remember times when you turned things over to god and got ‘relief.’ The reality is - based in accounts that you have shared - is this: if you turned all of the relief you’ve felt in your life into leather, there would not be enough to make a saddle for a flea.” “And the reality behind assumed personas who feel fear and worry is that they are tantamount to an itch on the calf of a legless man. The itch seems real enough, but in fact there is nothing there to itch. (Review Louise’s realization: ‘too absolutely funny that all the anxieties were about a "louise" who does not exist.’)” “Furthermore, like the itching calf of a legless man, there is nothing for you or your sister-in-law to turn over to a god, and there is no god to turn it over to. So what is this mind-talk of having done that in the ‘past’ and gotten relief?” “The fictional itch that seems real to the legless man is really just the product of a fictional mind and certain body-generated sensations; and your sister-in-law’s fiction-based fears and fictional faith and fictional god are also just in her ‘mind.’ And her fictional claims that a fictional entity really did take away her worry, and your fictional claim that a fictional entity gave you relief in the past, is nothing more than evidence of religious and spiritual intoxication.” “For her to claim that she is no longer stuck in fear and worry is just mind-speak expressed with the vocabulary of mind-language. It is only from the no-mind position that nothing ‘sticks.’ There is nothing that can stick to . . . nothing.” “To try to trigger a state of emotional intoxication among the realized is like trying to ‘stick’ a piece of duct tape to an oily surface. It cannot happen because the only state at that point of realization is the original state, and that state is intoxication-free, free from having anything that can attach to it.” “With your sister-in-law speaking in the mind-language of the fictional ‘mind’ - using the vocabulary of the non-realized - it is guaranteed that her ‘mind’ will function like a runaway train. And as that train passed by you via an e-mail, you jumped aboard and became her travel companion as she left the state of Reason on her journey to the state of Delusion with a stopover in Distortion.” “And you allowed one who is blind, one who cannot see at all, to point the way for you. In George Orwell’s 1984, there is “Newspeak” - a vocabulary that is used to distort reality. With a claim that relief came by turning issues over to a god, you and your sister-in-law - along with all of the non-realized - participated in ‘Oldspeak’.” “That is the talk that goes back thousands of years when the most ignorant persons on the planet talked about Greek or Roman or Hindu ‘sustainer gods,’ gods they believed were willing to intervene in the ‘affairs of mortals’ and manipulate events to the advantage of ‘faithful believers.’ Today, those trapped in their learned ignorance still speak of sustainer gods as well.” “When in economic peril, call if you want to on the god of Abraham, call on Zeus, call on Vishnu. Call, call, call. In the meantime, if one is unemployed and wants employment, the consideration is to go look for a job instead of sending out e-mails that reveal denial of the way one truly feels and that are just a public flaunting of one’s faith and goodness.” “So her self-deception became your self-deception, but the reality behind her claims was that her “mind” was operating as follows:” “Mind racing! Running! Husband is jobless! We’re going to lose our house! The kids will be without food! I’m going to lose the current lifestyle that I deserve. Oh - suddenly breathless! OK, God . . . you gotta help me with this. Take this from me. I’m turning it over to you. OK . . . there. Ohhhhh . . . breathe. Alright . . . now breathing. Breathe slowly. Take it easy. Now I have everything under control. Whoa, that was draining, but my faith prevailed.” “And I truly believe that my faith has worked a miracle, so I have to say it, I have to report it! I’ve always had a desire to talk to impress, so I also have to shout about this from the mountaintop. Here goes: “I HAVE FAITH AND NOW I’M FREE OF THE WORRY OF MY HUSBAND LOSING HIS JOB! YOU CAN BE AS FREE AS I AM IF YOU’LL JUST GET THE SAME LEVEL OF FAITH I HAVE AND IF YOU’LL BELIEVE IN MY GOD! YEAH MY GOD! MY GOD IS GOOD!” “Whoa. I’m drained. It was like an adrenaline rush and then the adrenal drop-off afterwards. Whoaaaa . . . but at least I’m relaxed now. Thank goodness I have a power at my beck and call that I can tap into and turn it all over to Him. I’m going to send e-mails to everyone in my address book, showing them how great my faith is and how it worked for me. Type-type-type. Send-send-send.” “Ah, yes, it’s all fine now. All fine. Relief. Really, it’s all fine. It’s all fine except that . . . “ . . . HOLY SMOKE! We have no income! We have no savings! We’re screwed! FINE, MY BUTT! IT’S NOT FINE AT ALL!” “OK . . . gotta get control here. Take it easy. Calm down. Breathe. Deep breaths. Deeper still. Even deeper. Lotta deep breaths. OK . . . head’s a little lighter . . . must be a good sign. So light it feels spiritual, even. Calm. Peace. Surrender. Yes, that’s the ticket. Must surrender to god. He’ll take care of me . . . uh . . . I mean us.” "There. Faith’s back. Relief. Relief. Relief from the worry of my husband losing his job. Relief from having no money in the bank and the anxiety of having run up $28,000 in credit card debt. Credit card debt? We can’t even make the minimum payment on that bill this month, now that my husband lost his job!” “WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO! I’M RUINED! MOM TOLD ME NOT TO MARRY THIS LOSER! I’M DYING HERE! THIS IS KILLING ME!” “Non-attachment you say? Hey, attach to this, you idiot! You’re crazy . . . non-attachment. Go to hell! Gotta do something, now! Even if it’s rash! Here goes! “But you think because she said her faith worked and because she said that turning it over to god brought an end to her worry, that you should unquestioningly believe that she was speaking truth. What she said, by use of what Maharaj called ‘mind-language,’ you took as a statement of truth and then delved back into your past and reported that the same worked for you back then. Please.” The visitor: “OK, once she starts again, once she doesn't feel her needs are met, then, yes, she is back where she started. Realization would allow her to stay in the non-worry mode. True. To that extent, she would be really better off because she wouldn't be on an up and down rollercoaster. I am in sync with you, brother!” “Hardly. You are in sync with her (her false self) and in sync with yourself (your false self,) but you most assuredly are out-of-sync with me. This is not one of the easiest pointers to grasp but it is valid nevertheless.” “No one is ‘better off’ when engaging in delusional behaviors and in distorted and magical thinking, and when her perceived problems aren’t solved, she’ll be angry for a time with a non-existent god. Or, if the problems clear up, she’ll be grateful to a non-existent god. In the meantime, she’ll be fluctuating constantly.” “She is not free of worry. She might claim a temporary respite at best and will then be right back at it. Wait until she opens the mail and finds the next bill that is past due and she'll be right back to worrying, proving that her initial claim of being ‘worry-free’ was false.” “Look at your own experiences while in various ego-states, some of which drove you to do what she is doing. If ‘just asking’ worked, then the millions who left the church in the last few years - according to a new study released last week - would not have left at all if that deal had really been working for them.” “This is not to say dualistically that worry is ‘good.’ It is to say that she is deluding herself with nonsense and that the very act will in itself prevent her from finding a means that truly works. Mind-thoughts expressed in mind-language and then shared via mind-speak (claiming that an unsolved problem is solved) prevents the finding of the real solution to put an end to all of the fluctuating once and for all.” “Why do you think so few realize? They are convinced, as she is, that they have some noumenal power that they can manipulate to their ‘benefit’ throughout the phenomenal existence. Persons who are convinced that they have found shall seek no more.” “Many a prospector during the days of the California gold rush stopped their search in order to rush their fool’s gold to the assay office and claim their ‘reward.’ All of the content of the ‘mind,’ which the non-realized believe is so valuable, is nothing more than their own version of fool’s gold.” “Throughout your relative existence, they fooled you. Now, she fooled you, too. So it is, but you do not have to keep fooling yourself or listening to such nonsense from those who are still fooling you and  themselves.” To be continued. THE EXPLANATION

If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.

Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of god in the past was of a weak god, an absentee god, A Santa Claus-type god, a mean, punishing, vindictive god, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring god whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to."

The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a god that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").

Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring god,' any supposed god that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'god' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part.

"That is, a non-narcissistic their god / their goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'god' and focus on the 'god as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you." 

Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:

"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"

--Yeshu'a (Jesus)

and 

"Heaven and earth shall fade away."

--Yeshu'a (Jesus)

and 

"Heaven and hell are not geographic places

but are states of mind, nothing more than

concepts dreamed up by men."

--Pope John Paul II 

"There is no hell."

--Pope Francis, the current pope

in an interview with journalist Eugenio Scalfari,

a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record

teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium.

[That said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional courage required to question the very existence of their institution in light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of billions of their members past and present.

And that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will they? Not likely. Why?

Because what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the international crime families which hold sway over the masses as criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major international crime families and which are the most influential and have the largest memberships?

The Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank); Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers) like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.)

With all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business, politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the driving forces at play.

The masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]
