WHY MAHARAJ ABANDONED RELIGIOUS AND SPIRITUAL VERSIONS OF THE ULTIMATE MEDICINE AND TURNED HIS FOCUS TO PSYCHOLOGICAL HEALING INSTEAD The Power of Egotism and Narcissism to Block Any Challenges to Persons’ Belief Systems [Continued from yesterday] So why did Maharaj change his estimate regarding how many are  ever likely to understand the message he offered, first estimating that only 1 out of 100,000 would get it; then changing that later to only 1 out of 1,000,000; and then finally estimating that only 1 out of 10,000,000 would ever get? Because he saw the power that ignorance and insanity and egotism and narcissism can play when persons try to defend their beliefs (which are not really “their” beliefs at all but are the beliefs of others which they have accepted as truth and now claim those are their beliefs). That fact is illustrated as the fellow I met in college in the mid-1960’s continued to press me to accept his faulty perspectives as correct. His e-mail being addressed: My wife’s sister in law, a real nut if I were into labeling people and things, has hit a financial crisis since her husband just lost his job. She said the weird thing is that she "turned it all over to God" and now is not worried. You know, when I have "bottomed out" I have done that in the past and felt relief. I continued the discussion not with any faith or hope that he might wake up to the fact that his thoughts were distorted nonsense but with the assurance that others might see via his words their own distorted ways of thinking and abandon those. So I continued. His next argument was, “Well, let's try this. What if I say she stopped worrying and that is good. If you were not aware of the previous discussion, what would you say?” The reply: “Just because you say she stopped worrying does not make it so. As far as calling it “good,” that's a dualistic term. For now, find WHO - that is, which ego-states - continue to advocate for the illogical and irrational thoughts and words and deeds of persons trapped in learned ignorance.” Then he revealed how far he was removed from understanding how truly bizarre were his thoughts and words and actions. He said, “You know I'm not arguing, Floyd.” The reply: “Hahaha! That statement shows that you can still fool yourself as much as you have been fooled by your sister-in-law and your priest and your parents and your culture. Technically, it might be said that THAT which you are is not arguing and that your arguing is rooted in the false identities which are hanging out between your ears. But THAT which you are has nothing to do with this discussion. It remains hidden from you, blocked off by all of your ideas and beliefs and concepts.” I continued: “Yet what a clear picture you are providing of the ego embroiled in what it considers a "life-and-death" struggle for the survival of self, fighting for the concepts that support false identities and dis-ease and totally preventing any opportunity for you to tap into the pure, universal consciousness and allow you to become aware of itself and to differentiate between the true and the false and to find Reality and Truth.” “You show how separated you are from reality and Reality, rendering you totally out of touch with both of those and out of touch with authenticity and with truth. It is the false you’s which are defending self and defending a sister-in-law's ego-state of “The Great Christian Woman With Great Faith in a Great God” and “The Super Christian Who Is Serving Her Church and Her God By Publicly Declaring Her Faith And Showing How Well It Works.” “Here you are defending this supposed 'Christ-follower,' yet you are both ignoring his admonition to be modest and go into your private closet to pray. You are both trapped in personality and the call is obviously for liberation from belief in the false personalities which both of you have and are controlling the warped thoughts and words and actions of you both.” “Let her attire herself in the cloak of religion; then let her profess her “faith and freedom” in her Sunday school class each weekend. Let her tell the priest about how God is working and how grateful she is to the priest for introducing her to “Him.” In the end, it’s still all nonsense and DEFCON Level 1 BS.” “Talk never makes anything so, and the very fact that you can verbalize a concept is the proof that it cannot be the Truth. Trapped as you both are in the “mind” and its distorted thinking, neither of you can see the complete foolishness behind your claims.” Next, I sent this to him: Here’s an excerpt from the book SPIRITUAL SOBRIETY which provides an actual example of the effects of what “turning it over” really looks like in practice: CHARGES FOLLOW FAITH-HEALING DEATH Denver Post, Mar. 10, 2001 GRAND JUNCTION Charges have been filed against the parents of a 13-year-old girl who died from a common infection that turned into gangrene after her parents opted to treat her with prayer but not medicine. The parents were issued summonses Friday on charges of criminally negligent homicide, reckless manslaughter, reckless child abuse resulting in death, and criminally negligent child abuse resulting in death. The parents belong to a religious sect that] believes there is a biblical injunction against medical treatment. They treat illnesses and injuries with prayer. In the past, church elders have said that “when prayer fails to heal an illness and a child dies, it is God's will.” His response: “Floyd, we’re not crazy - we took our daughters to the doctor when they were ill.” The reply: “Relate not to the behavior above but to the thinking that inspired the same kind of supernatural/magical thinking that your sister-in-law is displaying and that you are adumbrating.” “And it is that type of thinking that makes you no different from those parents and which blocks you both from being reasonable and logical. Yet magical thinking is also ‘spin-thinking.’ If prayers are not answered exactly as desired, mind-speak will be used to rewrite reality with an Orwellian 1984-style Newspeak.” “Or, what Maharaj called ‘mind-language’ will be used to ‘put a spin on it’ if a request is not fulfilled exactly as desired; then, mouth-speak will manifest to express what the ‘mind’ concocted; thus your belief and hers in the action-blocking notion, ‘In God’s time not mine’.” “When I once asked a preacher about the low success rate of prayer (e.g., ‘death’ happening in spite of prayers, damage from storms occurring in spite of prayers, crop failure as a result of drought in spite of prayers for rain, ‘relationships’ ending in spite of prayers, wars in spite of prayers for peace on earth, ad infinitum) his explanation this: “Floyd, all prayers are answered, but you should only expect about one-third of the answers to be ‘yes.’ One-third will be ‘no’ (for your own good) and one-third will be ‘later,’ to be determined by God’s timing.” “His quoting of statistics that have no statistical basis at all is as irrational as this talk of ‘turning it over’ and of ‘relief coming after having done so.’ The fact is that delusion-based acts such as ‘turning it over’ to some fictional entity provide no permanent relief from any relative problem.” “Most will spend the entire manifestation being fooled by others and fooled by self, and at some point that was also the case with the realized prior to full realization. Post-Realization, the registering of nonsense as nonsense starts happening spontaneously, so the realized cannot be fooled any longer. Prior to realization, it is logic and reason that register with the non-realized as nonsense.” “At this point, you are invited to find why it is that, after four years of exposure to these teachings, (1) you can still be fooled by the nonsense that you hear from the non-realized and then (2) enthusiastically argue for its legitimacy.” The he sent more BS my way: “I said I am not arguing. I know I am still trying to understand. Of course, I will always be having opinions and thoughts and will present and pursue them. I haven't changed that much! Stay with me.” “ You are not trying to understand. You are trying to defend, and what you are trying to defend is nonsense. If you were trying to understand, you would be considering pointers in the quiet rather than defending concepts and delusions. To declare that you will ‘always be having opinions and thoughts’ reveals that at your core, you have no intention of trying to understand a message that would free you of opinions and thoughts.” “But that is true-to-form among the non-realized who think (a) they know but who (b) do not know that they know not. Persons form rigid opinions on experiences they never had. Talking without knowing what one is really talking about is the planet-wide standard now. And such talking takes place among the non-realized via the use of mind-language which, in turn, promotes mind-speak.” “You are buying into nonsense and talking nonsense. ‘I did that in the past too and it brought relief.’ Well, eating breakfast brings relief to morning hunger, but you are hungry again by noon. You’ve admitted in the past that your so-called ‘morning meditation’ might provide 10 or 15 minutes of quiet, but five minutes later when traffic comes to a standstill as you fight your way to your office, you’re raising hell like an alpha ape facing off against a new male trying to invade his troop and take control and steal his female mates.” To be continued. THE EXPLANATION

If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.

Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of god in the past was of a weak god, an absentee god, A Santa Claus-type god, a mean, punishing, vindictive god, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring god whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to."

The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a god that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").

Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring god,' any supposed god that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'god' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part.

"That is, a non-narcissistic their god / their goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'god' and focus on the 'god as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you." 

Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:

"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"

--Yeshu'a (Jesus)

and 

"Heaven and earth shall fade away."

--Yeshu'a (Jesus)

and 

"Heaven and hell are not geographic places

but are states of mind, nothing more than

concepts dreamed up by men."

--Pope John Paul II 

"There is no hell."

--Pope Francis, the current pope

in an interview with journalist Eugenio Scalfari,

a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record

teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium.

[That said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional courage required to question the very existence of their institution in light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of billions of their members past and present.

And that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will they? Not likely. Why?

Because what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the international crime families which hold sway over the masses as criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major international crime families and which are the most influential and have the largest memberships?

The Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank); Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers) like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.)

With all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business, politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the driving forces at play.

The masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]
