Grasping a Clearer Understanding of Non-Dual Terms
BEING BLESSED and HAVING BLESSÉD DAYS
I once advised a man that came here for a one-on-one retreat that “the more you understand, the more you understand.” He asked what I meant by that.
To provide an answer for today’s visitors, consider what has been understood from recent posts as reviewed with this piece of syllogistic reasoning:
All is matter / energy.
Neither can be created nor destroyed.
If all that has ever been - and all that is now - was not created but has existed for infinity, then there can be no Creator, no creator gods and goddesses, and no creators of any kind.
What actually happened in any and every case that persons offer as examples of things that have supposedly been created (such as “parents create babies”)?
Science, not dogma and not “spiritual work,” explains it all.
What actually happened in all cases is this: already-existing matter / energy merely recycled. As Maharaj noted, the cycling process which results in “a baby” begins with an act of friction which led to a sperm cell meeting and uniting with an egg cell.
Did the male make / create sperm cells?
Or do normal, healthy male bodies provide a location wherein consumed plant cells (or wherein something which ate plant cells and was consumed) can work together with humans cells to produce other human cells?
As we have just seen, cells require a constant supply of energy to generate and maintain the biological order that keeps them alive. This energy is derived from the chemical bond energy in food molecules, which thereby serve as fuel for cells.
No plants? Then no food will be available. No food available? Then no survival or replacement of human cells will happen, (as in the concept of “starving to death”).
Maharaj: “From 'birth' what has made the body grow? It is no power in the world. It is the power of beingness, the atom, the consciousness . . . call it what you will.”
Plant and human cells have many of the same parts. Also, they both require nutrients and water to survive, and both engage in some sort of respiration.
So we understand from science that the body is made of cells which are made of proteins (which are a type of molecule), and we understand that water is another molecule we understand that there are other things which are all made of molecules.
We also know that the food which is eaten provides food molecules.
No food. No new cells, including no new sperm cells. If there are sperm cells, they exist because a human male ate food and the plant cells provided what was required for the body to automatically and spontaneously and naturally generate sperm cells and any other types of cells as well.
But the male did not “create” sperm cells and did not create “a baby.” The female did not “create a baby, either.” After sperm fertilized an egg, she ate food, providing the molecules necessary for her body to let humans cells split and multiple and survive.
Everything which happened during the nine months after fertilization happened automatically and spontaneously and naturally, complications aside.
Nothing was "made." Nothing was "created." Much which already existed was merely recycled.
Once the basics of that scientific explanation are understood, then the more that understanding can lead to other understandings, almost automatically and almost instantaneously.
Maharaj: “When ‘the birth’ is disproved, the great noble meaning of spirituality and the meaning of this world - everything - is disproved.”
See? Reach one understanding and all else can be understood.
Now, to understand the ignorance behind the talk about “being blessed and having blesséd days.”
If one understands that there is no Creator, then one who hears someone say, “I have been blessed” or “Have a blesséd day” will automatically and spontaneously and naturally register, “Ah. BS.”
WHO blessed you? WHO will assure that you have a blesséd day? And why is "Ah. BS" the only sane and rational response?
To be “blessed” requires “a Blesser.” To “have a blessed day” requires “a Blesser” to accompany me during every second and all 24 hours of a day to guaranteed that I was blessed every second . . . without interruption.
Science proves to us that there is no Creation and no Creator, so there can be no all-powerful, all-knowing Blesser / Power / God / Goddesses to provide assurance that blessings were provided to me and that they were carried out.
And all of that happens instantly, in a single second or a fraction of a second.
BS is stated, sound waves enter the outer ear and travel through a narrow passageway called the ear canal which leads to the eardrum.
The eardrum vibrates and sends the vibrations to small bones within the ear; the words enter the brain; they are processed, whereupon the sounds are instantly dismissed.
Among the realized, that happens faster than it took you to read the three paragraphs above, faster than it took me to type those three paragraphs.
So the more you understand, the more you understand; moreover, the more you understand, the faster the understandings come.
It's like this:
No more time is involved than the time it takes to snap your fingers. BS? BOOM! Discarded.
But this is about understanding only, not about being taught anything and not about learning anything at all.
