Grasping a Clearer Understanding on Non-Dual Terms
On Monday, September 27, 2021, I began a series entitled “De-Awesomefying Non-Dual Terminology.”
It was shown how often certain terms are totally misunderstood by non-dual seekers and others alike.
In the last series, an effort was made to try to clarify what the term “liberation” is really referring to.
Among the site visitors who have been visiting regularly since September of 2021, even more clarity might be manifesting. So let’s look at some of those terms discussed last fall and see what they are really about:
LIBERATION
“Liberation” is about personality, more specifically, about being free of the influence of the fear and desire-based agendas of personality identifications and the ways by which they prevent conscious choice-making and block persons access to free will by determining persons’ thoughts and words and actions.
(Non-realized persons' inability to make conscious choices and their inability to practice free well are rooted in programming, conditioning, domestication, acculturation, brainwashing and indoctrination.)
CONTINUITY
The term “continuity” is rooted in religious dogma and / or spiritual belief systems which dreamed up such non-dual concepts as “good vs. bad,” “right vs. wrong,” “rewards vs. punishment,” and, therefore, “heaven vs. hell” (or similar concepts to those two where either rewards or punishment will be administered by the gods or a God, forevermore).
“Continuity” is the false teaching that persons are “born” and that their bodies might “die” but that they - in one form or another - shall live forever . . . continuously, endlessly, eternally.
In other words, the notion of “continuity” is rooted
in BS, circulated for thousands of years via the programming, conditioning,
domestication, acculturation, brainwashing and indoctrination (which are the
tools of parents, schools, religious institutions, so-called spiritual groups, cults, and all cultural influencers).
“WHO-ness and / or who-ness”
The false concepts of “WHO-ness and / or who-ness” are rooted in domestication, acculturation, brainwashing and indoctrination, that is, in BS.
What there is, in terms of clarifying what people "are and are not," is revealed by understanding that a temporary composite unity can manifest as a triad involving an elemental plant food body, the air / oxygen which it circulates, and the conscious-energy (“consciousness”) which comes to and leaves the elemental plant food body throughout a relative existence if that body consumes food in the form of plants or in the less-potent form of something which ate plant food.
There can be a temporarily-manifested unity triad but there is no “who,” much less some grand and illustrious and fantastic WHO or “Infinite Self” or “Supreme Self” or “Eternal Self.”
“SELF-Actualization” and “SELF-Realization”
See the previous discussion to understand how those two concepts are total fiction, rooted in the teachings of Eastern religions or in so-called spiritual groups or in cults.
“self-realization”
“self-realization” is a meaningless term unless it is used to refer to the fact that one has realized that all assigned or assumed personality identifications / ego-states / roles / selves / personas / characters / guises / facades / etc. are illusions (as are all assumed Selves as well.)
“enlightenment and awakening”
“enlightenment and awakening” are all part of the realization process, and realization is about nothing more than realizing that all that persons have been taught (in their homes, in their schools, in their religious institutions, by their government, by their military complex, and by every part of their culture and society and nation) is false.
As for a “spiritual awakening,” a religious awakening, or a “road to Damascus” story, there is no such thing.
For “enlightenment and awakening” to happen, then they must happen alongside “realization,” and that happens by “rejecting belief in any and all learned ignorance” (Maharaj).
“The Spiritual Malady”
“The Spiritual Malady” was a term used by Bill Wilson who wrote the “Big Book” discussing alcoholism. He had read a Carl Jung statement who wrote that “the helpful formula for healing alcoholics is spiritus contra spiritum: “Spirit over spirits (alcohol).”
So there you have. One man read what one man wrote and then the man who read that “Spirit over spirits” phrase used it to claim that alcoholism is the result of a spiritual malady.
Over thirty-seven million copies of the book which includes the term “spiritual malady” have been sold, and the term has been used billions or trillions of times in meetings, adding it to the body of the now-international lexicon of BS.
“higher consciousness”
The false concept of “higher consciousness” is rooted in the teachings of Eastern religions or in so-called spiritual groups or in cults.
Consciousness is merely conscious-energy. Energy may manifest in varied forms, such as electrical, gravitational, thermal, chemical, etc. But just as there is no “higher” or superior or elevated or top variety of electrical energy or gravitational energy or thermal energy or chemical energy, so there is no “higher” or superior or elevated or top variety of consciousness.
Can humankind’s programming, conditioning, domestication, acculturation, brainwashing and indoctrination prevent a human from being able to use the conscious-energy to tap into an accurate perspective of reality / Reality and thereafter be able to differentiate the true from the false? Yes, but only after realization - that is, only after an abandonment of belief in all BS - happens.
As always, the call is not for anyone to be taught more and to learn more. The call is to be un-taught, to un-learn all of the nonsense which non-realized persons believe in.
