LIBERATION
(Attaining Freedom from Personality via Realization)
In the relative existence, the problem is always personality identification; moreover, personality always presents in multiples. The personalities - those assigned or assumed ego-states - are always accompanied by the use of ego-defense mechanisms. The non-dual understanding offers an invitation to put an end to belief in egotism-and-arrogance-driven egos by ending all false beliefs in ego-states. [March of 2005]

Nine Relative Existence Actions that Can Help Shift Personas from Unhealthy Stages of Disintegration to Liberation
Since ego takes the composite of all of its false identities to define “who it is,” there is a major emotional investment among persons in terms of the value given to their false roles and to the amount of energy that ego is willing to expend in trying to preserve and sustain ego’s false images.
The resulting emotional intoxication prevents the re-purification of the consciousness and prevents any shift from (a) the unhealthy stages of personality/consciousness disintegration to (b) the highest level of consciousness re-purification and, thus, Liberation.
(Again, liberation here refers to freedom from the influence of ego, freedom from the misery and suffering that are always generated by the corrupted consciousness, the condition that happens when the consciousness is re-purified, and then true freedom, period.)
Only a quality quantity of manifested consciousness - only the completely purified / re-purified universal consciousness - can provide any quality of happiness. Ego dulls the quality of the consciousness and blocks awareness of its purest messaging; then, the ego-driven disintegration of the consciousness can lead not only to assumption of personality but also to misery and suffering and even physical destruction as well.
For one to be happy or content, the lies of the ego must be abandoned (which will happen if the consciousness is re-purified).
Even if you find that you’re unable to reject immediately the influences of whichever of the Nine Personality Types are driving you, you can at least begin to wear those types with a lightness rather than as a weighty armor that the ego is using to shield its false identifications and personas.
So what actions can free you from the unhealthy stages and shift you into a state of total liberation? The nine actions begin by providing a method to address the needs of those at level nine and then provide a step-by-step process to shift persons from there to the highest level: TOTAL LIBERATION.
The Nine Actions
(The early actions on the list are about survival in the relative existence. The later actions are methods for reaching a state of re-purified consciousness, Full Realization and Total Liberation)
Action One
Action one is recommended for those who have disintegrated to the ninth stage: intervene by relocating to an environment that can provide safety; move away from triggers.
Action Two
Start to understand the consciousness as it identifies with personality; see how it disintegrates . . . becomes corrupted; begin to study the ego and its role in that process; seek out those who are in touch with reality.
Action Three
Along with removing yourself
from triggering people, triggering places and triggering things, begin to
consider the possibility that a false “self” (or selves) might have been
driving you throughout the entirety of your life and preventing you from
gaining conscious contact with truth, Reality and reality, authentic, sanity, reason, and actualization. (That will always require listening to and heeding the guidance offered by one with wisdom to share.)
Action Four
Seek the understanding which can begin to deflate the ego; begin uncovering the personas (the states-of-being) which inspire aggressive behaviors in defense of ego-generated identities.
Action Five
Continue to uncover the roles
that you have been playing, the images that you have cultivated (or accepted
when assigned to you), and the ego-states or states-of-being that have taken
away from you an ability to control your own behavior and life. Re-focus your attention away from finding "Who You Are" and find who and what you are not.
Action Six
Engage in focusing on that which is true wisdom, recognizable by it being the polar opposite of all so-called "conventional wisdom"; on that which leads to an awakening, to an awareness of all that you have not
previously been aware of; then, submit to a process of inventory which exposes every
false “self” in order to be entirely free of “self” identities.
Action Seven
You are re-integrating by this point, but not totally free of ego-identifications; continue the seeking in order to be totally free of all belief in any and all ego-states / personality identifications / false personas.
Action Eight
Commit to spending whatever time and effort is required to become free of belief in the illusions of false identities, of ego-states, of states-of-being, of roles, and of anything that is artificial and that blocks your awareness of what is authentic and what is not.
