CAUSATION and RELATIVE EVENTS AND BEHAVIORS: 

“Evil?” or “Ignorance, Stupidity, and Insanity”?

Here’s some information which should be heartening for non-sociopathic humans but which will likely be ignored by all:

“Evil” is not at the root of the planet's widespread instances of fighting and divorcing and regional rivalries and shootings and stabbings and bombings and civil wars and international wars and mass murder and genocide; what is at the root is personality disorders, insanity, and dualistic beliefs which involve this mentality: “me vs. him or her” and “me vs. them” and “us vs. them.” 

Why should that be “inspiring” or “heartening”? Because sky cults, religions, and spiritual movements which have undertaken the job of eliminating “evil” have had 5000 years or more to accomplish that goal but have had no significant effect or success at all.

On the other hand, if the most significant instances of fighting and divorcing and regional rivalries and shootings and stabbings and bombings and civil wars and international wars and mass murder and genocide are the result of personality disorders, insanity, and dualistic beliefs, then one need but contrast

(1) the thousands of years of failure by religious and spiritual people to eliminate evil

with

(2) the recent advances and successes of psychological and psychotherapy treatment for a variety of mental / emotional illnesses during the last twenty years or so.

Significant progress has been made since 1996 in the use of EMDR; in the development of new and far-more-effective treatments for trauma; in a broadening awareness of non-duality’s long-standing pointers regarding personality disorders;

in the use of telemedicine and teletherapy to offer treatment in a more private manner which many find preferable as well as reaching those in rural areas who found weekly visits to the nearest city a challenge; in an expansion of the public discussions regarding mental health issues, discussions are reducing the treatment-avoidance-inspiring-stigmas of the past;

in the development of rapid-acting antidepressants with fewer harmful side effects; the increasing use of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based therapies; in more equitable insurance coverage for treating mental illness and substance abuse disorders; 

in the treatment of psychosis and schizophrenia by professionals who are offering CBT-based treatment methods for those two illnesses; in mobile phone apps which offer assistance and increase the ability to search for help; and an increase in prenatal treatments for enhancing brain-building in offspring and reducing the risk of a child having schizophrenia and ADHD;

and

via many alternative treatment methods which are now successfully treating humans suffering from panic attacks, addictions, insomnia, PTSD, the obsessive-compulsive disorder and even performance anxiety among athletes and those in many other competitive fields.

Consider: The number of humans claiming to be “religious” is shrinking even as the number of professionals who are offering advanced forms of treatment is expanding. What a clear choice for seeking assistance:

Leave your mental healthcare in the hands of untrained, non-professional,  unskilled, and unqualified religious or spiritual people with a multi-thousand-year track record of failure in the mental healthcare field 

or 

use trained, skilled, and qualified professionals who are making significant advances in mental healthcare treatment.

[As always - before selecting any provider, guide, etc. - research, research, research.]

Now, let’s look at one of the main sources of chaos and insanity which non-dualists have been discussing for centuries, namely, personality identifications which - when assigned or assumed - lead to personality disorders.

Once false identities are adopted, then the battle lines will already have been drawn; then the battle begins after (1) an assumed ego-state upgrades itself; and after that ego-state (2) downgrades any other persona or persons whom it thinks represents a threat to the agenda of that assumed ego-state (or after an ego-state identifies another - an “other” - that can be used to sustain one or more assumed ego-states or create another). 

In the U.S. recently, the hidden agendas of certain ego-states led to the belief that some persons needed to use “others” as pawns in order to develop and maintain a new ego-state. Their “pawns” in one case were elementary-age children; in another instance, runners and onlookers at a marathon were the pawns. 

To assign “evil” as the cause of those deeds ends the search for understanding the actual elements in the chain of causation. To understand some of the elements in the chain of causation, one must understand the ways that persons are driven by the agendas of their assumed ego-states which are then driven to extreme actions after the ego-defense mechanism of egotism is triggered. 

When egotism is triggered, one is always believed to be better than “others”; what one wants is always more important than what “others” want; and whatever one's cause or causes are will always be thought to be more important that the causes of “others.”

When an ego-state is assumed and upgraded and then supported by egotism, persons automatically believe that they and their causes and desires are “good” and the causes and desires of “others” are “evil.” 

Consider: the news media reported that, after the bombings during the Boston Marathon, an entertainer wrote a message on his Facebook page to the people he referred to as “the evildoers” of the world: 

“The good outnumber you, and we always will.” The key words: “evil,” ”good,” and “we.” Those who use the word “evil” to label others have already counted themselves among the “we” who are “the good people” and who “always will” outnumber the “the evil people.” 

The question that only a few will raise is, “Why are you using your Facebook page to send out a message to evildoers, telling them that 'the good outnumber you'? Does your page have a higher-than-usual number of evildoing visitors?”

“Moreover, is it your belief that since a significant number of evildoers are regularly visiting that page that they will read your message to them, or was that just so much pontificating intended for an already-sympathetic audience?

And what is the value of offering the point that the good outnumber the evil? Where is your proof of that opinion? Additionally, if that is a fact, are those numbers actually working to any advantage for the so-called 'good'?”

On September 11, 2001 it only took nineteen persons to kill nearly 3,000 and to injure nearly 6,300. On April 15, 2013 in Boston, MA, it only took two brothers to kill 3 and to injure hundreds more. 

Even if this were about “the good” vs. “the evil” whom “the good outnumber,” the fact that “you and yours” outnumber “them” has proved to be immaterial, has it not? 

But what has really set the stage for those numbers to be so abhorrent in the U.S.? The U.S. is a nation where most deem themselves to be “good Judaeo-Christian people.” 

When persons value an Old Testament “eye-for-an-eye” dogma, ratios of 19 to 9300 and 2 to 200 will turn one's entire “world” upside down.

Something is wrong in that picture when the number killed in retaliation should at least equal the number killed initially. (Of course, the Iraq War was an effort - among other things - to right the ratios, and, indeed, the numbers were eventually turned around as far as 9-11 goes.) 

Looking at those numbers, Iraq notwithstanding, it can also be asked, “If there were 'good people' ready to stand up again 'evil people,' do the facts suggest that there is any advantage at all, typically, to 'the good' outnumbering 'the evil' as you wrote on Facebook?”

Note that there is so much duality-based rhetoric, causing an endless swelling of the size of the planet's compost pile of nonsense. 

Note, too, the inconsistency of the “good” as they declare what the fate of the evil ones should be. One relative called immediately after the bombings to say that she “hoped that the law enforcement officials end up killing the perpetrators of the Boston bomb incident.”

The question asked in response, “So remind me again why you want them killed?” And the answer was, “What, are you crazy? Because they killed three Americans and wounded hundreds more.” 

See how the so-called logic of “the good” people works? “It is evil to kill, so we are going to . . . kill.” Are you seeing how the “good vs. evil” debate is really about self and self-aggrandizement and self-righteousness and, often, hypocrisy? As noted here regularly, once an ego-state is assumed, then the ego-defense mechanism of “egotism” will activate. 

Then, one will upgrade self - along with “persons like self” - and one will downgrade persons who are “not like self” . . . who are perceived, in a dualistic fashion, to be different from and therefore less than. 

What a liability it is - relatively speaking - that judgmental persons in a matter of seconds can self-assign themselves to “the good group” while instantly assigning “others” to “the bad group.”

THE EXPLANATION

If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.

Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of god in the past was of a weak god, an absentee god, A Santa Claus-type god, a mean, punishing, vindictive god, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring god whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to."

The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a god that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").

Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring god,' any supposed god that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'god' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part.

"That is, a non-narcissistic their god / their goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'god' and focus on the 'god as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you." 

Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:

"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"

and 

"Heaven and earth shall fade away."

--Yeshu'a (Jesus)

and 

"Heaven and hell are not geographic places

but are states of mind, nothing more than

concepts dreamed up by men."

--Pope John Paul II 

"There is no hell."

--Pope Francis, the current pope

in an interview with journalist Eugenio Scalfari,

a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record

teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium.

[That said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional courage required to question the very existence of their institution in light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of billions of their members past and present.

And that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will they? Not likely. Why?

Because what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the international crime families which hold sway over the masses as criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major international crime families and which are the most influential and have the largest memberships?

The Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank); Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers) like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.)

With all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business, politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the driving forces at play.

The masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]
