WHY MAHARAJ ABANDONED RELIGIOUS AND SPIRITUAL VERSIONS OF THE ULTIMATE MEDICINE AND TURNED HIS FOCUS TO PSYCHOLOGICAL HEALING INSTEAD
Earlier, this was offered:
I walked off the stage of "The Theater of the Lie," never to
return there again, never to assume again any of the roles that had been played
on that stage in that theater. I had gone completely sane.
Yet there was a secondary point added to that point, so to continue with the
description of "the journey here":
In retrospect, it is also clear that the search for authenticity did not
end instantly . . . that it merely went into periods of intermittent dormancy as more
and more obstacles were stored in the fiction-filled "mind" that
blocked the eyes of the inner guru - the inner resource - from seeing the
perfectly clear sky behind the clouds.
The results of a too-long and too-arduous search led to the approach now
offered here in satsang, at retreats, in non-duality books, and on this blog
site, an approach that includes:
a
determination to adhere strictly to the part of the message offered in the
masthead on the home page of the this blog, namely, to provide a “non-duality forum
offering Direct Path and Nisargan considerations in simple language in order to
address the actual roots of the Ultimate Sickness and to allow for natural
abidance thereafter.”
As a man in Germany wrote after having completed the online non-dual course:
Hey Floyd,
It´s been a way from "Floyd, I think I don´t need to do the course
because I´ve got 'it' already" to seeing through this mirage and
"experiencing" the "realm" of pure bliss, true health,
freedom, nothingness, doinglessness and mindlessness, which is "my"
true nature".
Thank you so much for being a mirror and showing "the path".
One thing: You seem to be the only one I have found who can write about
Advaita and Nisarga Yoga in plain English so that one can realize that pure
consciousness is speaking. I´ve taken a look at books from other authors and
disciples of Maharaj and couldn´t help but notice their play of "one
upmanship" with readers and disciples by using spiritual and religious
jargon. So it is.

In the end, of course, the message is not "My way or the highway" but
"This was my way - the way that worked here - and you are invited to see
if it might work for you as well."
As Paul Anka wrote and as Sinatra sang, "For what is 'a man' / what has
he got / If not 'Himself,' then he has not / To say the things he truly feels /
And not the words of one who kneels / The record shows . . . I took the blows /
And did it my way."
The blows from whom? From those who believe that the "real non-duality
message" can only be received by the Traditional or Neo-Advaita or
Neo-Vedanta or Pseudo Advaita Vedanta method;
from those who have written to explain how senseless the Nisarga Yoga is; from
those who claim that, because they "have Realized Fully, they can tell I
have not realized at all" (though their words are meaningless, only
providing evidence of their failure to have realized at all);
from angry Christians and threatening Muslims and "Spiritual Giants"
in programs they claim have given them everything they need while actually
failing them miserably in every way.
(Here, there is no problem with any of those types. Been there, done that, too,
so it has become clear that the most ignorant of all is not "he who does
not know."
The most ignorance of all manifests in those "who do not know . . . and who do not know that they do not know." So it is. At the end of the manifestation, the options are to look back and to see that you did it either (a) "My Way / Your Way" - that is, the Way of the wise - or (b) to see that you did it "their way" . . . the insane way . . . the popular way among the ignorance masses.
Can you accept that "My Way / Your Way" will never be the popular way among the masses? Only a few ever traverse the entire manifestation "My Way / Your Way."
Most will go along with "their" way- with the
personality-driven, insane way of the masses - and will therefore abide only in
“ignorance and stupidity and insanity” and in entrapment and restlessness and
darkness. So that is, too.)
Because the road taken here during the early stages of the "journey" and "uninterrupted seeking" was a long and arduous one, and because there has
come a realization that it need not have been that long or arduous at all, the
message here will continue to be offered in a simple, exact-sequence of steps in a plain English
manner (with a bit of what some say is "a peculiar - even ignorant -
accent") so that realization can happen . . . now;
so that the remainder of the relative existence can happen in peace and with
freedom for all of those earnestly seeking and totally ready for peace and
freedom; and so some might avoid the long and arduous version of "the
path" and the "journey" that is offered far too often in other
venues.
What approach did Maharaj use to begin un-doing the confusion, the learned
ignorance, the personality disorders and the various degrees of insanity that
are so common among the masses and that trap them in their belief in - and
their dissemination of - lies?
It has been seen that he sometimes began by unraveling two of the earlier lies
that are taught, namely, the birth / death lies. Why begin there? As he noted, “When
the birth is disproved, the great noble meaning of spirituality and the meaning
of this world—everything—is disproved.”
Thus, he went about the business, not of proving anything but, of disproving
everything instead.
[Compare that with the consideration offered here: "Is it possible that
everything you have ever been taught or told or now believe is false?"
Because the Truth can be known but not stated, then it is guaranteed that
everything you have ever been taught or told or now repeat is false, by
default. Here, there is no goal to teach, only the opportunity to un-learn all
that was taught and that is not true.]
As revealed in the quotation above, Maharaj also went about the business of
disproving the concepts of "spirituality" and "this world"
and "meaning" and things thought to be "noble."
Yet with "spirituality" and "meaning" and things thought to
be "noble" being the lifeblood of so many who have completed less
than half of "the journey," of course they will reject the messages
in his later talks that were no longer based in "spirituality" and
that were based in pointers and invitations to set aside all such nonsense and
abide naturally and not supernaturally / spirituality, not supernaturally /
religiously, and not unnaturally, either.
Of course those who have not rejected all identities - but who
have merely assumed new identifications such as "The Religious One,"
"The Spiritual Giant," "THAT only" and even "God"
- will find such pointers and invitations offered by "the later Maharaj"
and offered here to be anathema.
Rejecting the understanding and logic behind one of their earliest assignments
(to "stay in the I AM alone," to never follow that phrase with any
word or words) they ignore that lesson and do that anyway, saying: "I am
now this" or "I now know that I am that" or "I
am (whatever) ... to infinity."
Again, they are stating something, so it cannot be Truth, and to
believe that false statements are Truth is also insane, along with believing
that one is what one is not; along with making irrational statements that have
no foundation;
along with
accepting without ever having questioned; along with abandoning a phenomenal
dream state, only to reside into a noumenal dream state; and along with having
their heads in the clouds without having their feet planted firmly on the
ground.
They fail to understand that they are actually seeing no more of The Light with
their heads in the clouds than the ones planted on the ground who also cannot
see the sun because of the clouds.
Next, what other approaches are used here alongside the dispelling of the myths
about birth and death and casting aside belief in any and all concepts,
including "spirituality" and "this world" and
"meaning" and things thought to be "noble"?
What else is used to begin un-doing the confusion, the learned ignorance, the
personality disorders and the various degrees of insanity that are so common
among the masses and that trap then in their belief in - and their
dissemination of - lies?
Two tools: one is called "The 180-Degree Rule"; the other is called
"Obliterating the Present Thought-Based Mode of Talking and Becoming
Skilled at Using Only The Vocabulary of Restored Sanity / Full
Realization."
