Earlier, these pointers and considerations were offered in regards to the non-realized:

1. "The way to tell that they are lying is to watch their lips closely. If they are moving, they are lying";

2. "How often are your lips moving nowadays?" vs. "How often are you enjoying the silence and thereby allowing others around you to do the same?"

and

3. There is only one prevaricator that you need to concern yourself with: that one is "you" (the false ego-states assumed).

This has been shared on occasion:

Grandmother and the others among her tribe of Cherokees taught that "Truth is nothing more than the space between exhalation and inhalation."

Do you understand why some “non-dualists” offer the pointer that “silence speaks”?

Again,

(A) Truth cannot be stated, so only in the silence can the truth be known;

(B) only in the silence can the inner resource / inner guru be heard; and

(C) only in the space between exhalation and inhalation can Truth be realized.

Yet all of the blockages to being able to differentiate the true from the false must be revealed to a seeker by a realized one before anything in the silence can be understood.

The terms used to point to the blockages are shared in several books offered here, but a few of those blockages will be discussed below:

BLOCKAGES WHICH PREVENT SEEING TRUTH AND THAT INSPIRE SPREADING FALSEHOODS

The use of certain blockages manifests as a result of something that sages have warned the masses about for thousands of years, namely, personality (and the traits that accompany each assumed persona).

The following will catalog some of the personality traits that are blockages and that inspire the spreading of falsehoods; also, specific examples of each that have been heard as recently as the last week or so will be provided.

Seekers who come here are invited to see which of these they may have heard recently or to see if any of their assumed personas have driven them to use any of the following:

1. Dependence (defined as, "a state of relying upon another for emotional or physical support, existence, or well-being").

[A recent example: Currently, thousands of homes are being destroyed annually by fires which are caused in part by - or which are worsened by - aggravated global warming which is at least partly the result of politicians and the money they are paid by big business lobbyists.

One comment heard from a homeowner preparing to evacuate because his property was being approached by flames said: "All we can do now is pray to God that he will protect us."

You think so, do you?

A reporter crossed paths with the man a few days later he was walking through the smoldering ashes where his house and stables had stood days before.]

Dependence among the non-realized involves things in the relative that can be used as a crutch and "forces" or "powers" beyond the relative that can also be used as a crutch. After a motorcycle accident, there was a period here during which a wheelchair and crutches had to be used.

There came a point, though, when it was time to abandon the use of both, the doctor warning that the desire to avoid the pain of walking independently was going to prevent healing and would only reinforce weakness and aggravate the already-existing muscle damage.

The non-dual understanding is about being free, being totally independent, but as noted in the book "Overcoming the Fear of Being Totally Independent,"

the last thing that the non-realized masses want is total independence. So it is, but the book points out that there is a way to transition that supposedly softer, easier way that is not actually softer or easier at all, in the long run.

2. Grandiosity (defined as "the desire to seem important; to be pompous or showy)

and

3. False Pride (defined as "having an unreasonable opinion of one’s own superiority over others; inordinate self-esteem; the reflection of this quality in disdainful or arrogant behavior")

and

4. Manipulation (defined as "fraudulent management for one’s advantage; to manage or influence by artful skill, often by unfair tactics; to adapt or change to suit one's purpose or advantage")

and

5. Controlling (defined as "wanting to have the power to rule, guide, or manage others; having the desire to direct or regulate people, places, things; wanting to be in charge").

[An example: All five of those were displayed by the former Texas governor Rick Perry who had organized two different statewide "prayer and fasting events" to make it rain and end the state's four-month-long drought that was fueling the fires.

Watching him pray his lengthy prayers that were televised, one was invited to consider how important persons can take themselves to be to believe that they have so much power - and are so in touch with "The Power" - that they have the ability to control weather patterns and bring to an end the conditions that have allowed a stationary front to remain in place for months, ignoring the simple science that could make clear why a four-month drought has occurred.

Over the last 5000 years, humanity in many cases has not moved far beyond the days when pagan priests sacrificed virgins to appease an angry rain god in an effort to end droughts and control the weather.

The Texas governor would have fit right in with those priests who raped virgins and cut out the beating hearts from their chests and conducted “Communion Services” where all in the crowd ate a part of the heart and drank some of the raped and slaughtered virgin's blood - you know, the very same act which nowadays billions of Christians reenact daily or weekly - in order to try to appease an angry God who was depriving them of the water which their crops required to survive.

Additionally, the manipulation at play in this example might be two-fold:

(a) there is the case of trying to manipulate "a noumenal world god" in order to be able to control "phenomenal world events"

and / or

(b) an instance of trying to manipulate a right-wing, evangelical electorate by showing "how linked up one is with their god." The failure of the prayer and fasting events to end the drought has been ignored.]

Dependence, grandiosity, false pride, the desire to manipulate, and the desire to control will all generate the telling of lies and the continuing belief in lies among the ignorance-driven, non-realized masses and those they call their "leaders."

THE EXPLANATION

If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.

Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of god in the past was of a weak god, an absentee god, A Santa Claus-type god, a mean, punishing, vindictive god, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring god whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to."

The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a god that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").

Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring god,' any supposed god that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'god' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part.

"That is, a non-narcissistic their god / their goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'god' and focus on the 'god as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you." 

Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:

"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"

and 

"Heaven and earth shall fade away."

--Yeshu'a (Jesus)

and 

"Heaven and hell are not geographic places

but are states of mind, nothing more than

concepts dreamed up by men."

--Pope John Paul II 

"There is no hell."

--Pope Francis, the current pope

in an interview with journalist Eugenio Scalfari,

a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record

teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium.

[That said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional courage required to question the very existence of their institution in light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of billions of their members past and present.

And that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will they? Not likely. Why?

Because what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the international crime families which hold sway over the masses as criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major international crime families and which are the most influential and have the largest memberships?

The Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank); Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers) like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.)

With all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business, politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the driving forces at play.

The masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]
