BEING
MADE CRAZY, CRAZY, STAYING CRAZY or AWARE OF CRAZINESS AND SEEKING SANITY

If you were suffering from a
sickness, would you accept treatment from a doctor that does not (1) complete a
diagnosis and (2) identify cause prior to formulating a treatment plan?
Of course not, so why tolerate
having the Ultimate Sickness treated by a guide that does not identify cause
prior to formulating a treatment plan?
A narcissistic know-it-all showed
up in Maharaj’s loft and started spouting the same-old same-old to try to impress his captive audience with the
supposedly “profound” depth and breadth of his knowledge of all things
non-dual.
Eventually, Maharaj stopped the
man’s monologue and explained that he did not give a tinker’s damn about the
man parroting gurus or guides or writers; instead, Maharaj said that he only
wants to hear about a seeker’s own experiences and from one who shares only
what he or she has come to perceive and understand.
In the next series, we will begin
with finding the actual cause of the Sickness which only a non-dual guides try
to address and then formulate a treatment plan which will differ entirely from the plans which have failed humankind for
thousands of years.
As with Covid-19, researchers and
manufacturers of treatment and / or preventive measures were and are constantly
having to change their treatment plans because of mutations. The same applies
with humankind: the problems of humans - be they physical or psychological -
require treatment from a guide that is constantly studying the innumerable mutations
of the Sickness in order to update and modify and improve the version of the
Ultimate Medicine being used to address all aspects of the Ultimate Sickness.
All prescribed prescriptions
stored in your medicine cabinet have an expiration date. So should the Ultimate
Medicine used for addressing the Ultimate Sickness.
Genes mutate. The result is
physical / body problems. Understandings also mutate. The result is mental /
mind problems.
The Effects of Mutations And
Variants - in Humankind, in the Non-Dual Message, in Religious Texts, in
Spiritual Messaging, in Forms of Government, in Economic Systems, in Tribalism,
in the Human Brain, in sicknesses and the Ultimate Sickness, ad infinitum. Everything is Mutated;
hence, the Normal or Natural Has Been Replaced by the Abnormal, by the
Unnatural, by the Supernatural by Magical and Warped Thinking, by Language, and
by the Resulting Warped, Detrimental Behavior.]

Some might ask, “What does word choice or vocabulary matter when those are about the relative while the non-duality understanding is about the Absolute and being free of the relative?”
There is likely no greater misunderstanding about why the “path” is to be
followed and why “the journey” is to be completed. In the first pages of the
book FROM THE I TO THE ABSOLUTE,
this pointer is offered:
“It has been seen that one must either
find a working approach (to being freed - in the words of Maharaj - from “learned
ignorance, stupidity, and insanity”) or be doomed to adopt “their” ideology
instead, and my experience shows that nothing is more destructive than buying
into ‘their’ ideology. For the most part, however, the version of the
Non-Dual message that I offer has been characterized by one protégé as being
“Applied Advaita.”
Another significant misunderstanding is in regards to the exact purpose of non-duality
itself. Non-duality is not about allowing persons to become “successful” or “more
ambitious” or to find “the meaning of life” or about “being “incredible” or
about “controlling” or about having “eternal life” and “eternal rewards,” etc.
It is about humans seeing that they are being driven by the Ultimate Sickness and then finding a version of the Ultimate Medicine to treat that Sickness.
Once
mahasamadhi is taken and the consciousness unmanifests, there is no “one” that
will remain to know anything or to “apply” anything or to receive eternal rewards
or to experience multiple births, etc. Whatever is understood along the “path”
or “on the journey” can only be “relevant” now, during the relative existence.
As explained in other writings, that means that the non-duality understanding
is about the Absolute to the point that realization happens, after which the
non-duality understanding is about the relative, about abiding sanely and
logically. Again, the summative statement “I
AM THAT; I AM” remains the same, both before and after realization: the “I
AM” is never removed from the summative statement.
Moreover, to suggest, as some do, that “nothing is real” is nonsense. On the simplest
level, all in the relative is energy / matter, and both are real. What can be
said is that “nothing is as it appears to be to the non-realized during the
relative existence.”
Maharaj spoke of freedom from body-mind-personality identification to those on
the first three steps of the “path,” but after that, he spoke of freedom from “learned
ignorance” and from “stupidity” and from “insanity.” All of those freedoms deal
with functioning normally and naturally and sanely NOW . . . DURING THE
RELATIVE . . . not later after the consciousness un-manifests.
As has been shown, freedom from insane behavior begins with freedom from insane
words, and freedom from insane words begins with freedom from insane thoughts.
The treatment for insane thoughts? Taking the steps required that will generate
a state of no-mindedness, of concept-lessness, of idea-lessness, of
belief-lessness. The treatment for insane words? (1) Being aware and awake and
conscious of what is actually being said and (2) preferably, saying far less in
the first place. If talk happens, then conscientiousness with word usage is
recommended.
If one must talk, then why else is meticulousness with word usage recommended?
In the absence of full realization, any concepts which a person utters are
generated by the fiction-filled “mind,” and utterances frame all of the
misunderstandings which the non-realized believe about the relative and also
lead to all of the unnatural or nonsensical behaviors that can be witnessed as
they happen around the globe.
For example, a local weather forecaster once reported that “our area is in for
a bad week with the possibility of rain every day.” Never mind that the area had
been in a drought for months. Never mind that vegetation and crops needed the
rain. Never mind that the foundations of houses were cracking from shifts in
the dry soil. According to his thoughts and words, an entire week was going to
be “a bad one,” that assessment offered to an entire community by a person with
preconceived notions (that is, with firmly-fixed, pre-conceptualized beliefs)
about what makes a day “good” or “bad.”
Once such dualistic notions are applied not only to weather but also to
spouses, neighbors, “foreigners,” and humans with higher levels of melanin which
makes their skin “non-white,” then a key root of disharmony, fighting and even
war become evident to the observant. It becomes clear how one can ignorantly
declare that the populations of various nations are members of “an axis of
evil.”
Once
the words “good” and “bad” have been introduced and stored as thoughts, then
the basis of duality has been set in place. Once dualistic thinking begins to
control what persons say and do, their vocabulary will undergo a near-limitless
expansion and only dualistic words will be used to adumbrate their dualistic
belief systems.
Thereafter, all people and states and nations - trapped in their dualistic
beliefs - will be mentally divided and will be spoken of in terms of being
either moral or immoral; right or wrong; righteous or evil; deserving to live
or deserving to die. Then, an understanding of the no-concept, non-dual Reality
is almost impossible.
Dualistic
thoughts and dualistic words become the tools that the non-Realized use to
fabricate illusory (but seemingly real) gulfs, splits, schisms, divisions,
subdivisions, separations, hierarchies, and dreamed up multiplicities.
From that point, fluctuations and instability and disharmony mark the relative
existence. Because the quiet is anathema among the non-realized, dualistic
words must be used to try to drown out the screaming thoughts coming from the
disjointed, dualistic “mind.”
The
preference for excessive levels of noise adumbrates the clamor and the pandemonium
that occur in the “minds” of the non-realized, and excessive levels of
mouth-noise (a.k.a., talk via mind-language) is used to garner attention, to
try to earn “love,” and to attempt unconsciously to support ego-states.
When thoughts and words inspire an egotistically-based “quest” for attention
and illusory “love” and the sustaining of false identities, then persons will
consider no alternatives and will undergo a restless, chaotic existence marked
by the instability that was pointed to by the words of the post-realization
Advaitin called “Yeshu’s” (or, erroneously, “Jesus”) when he said, “A
dual-minded person is unstable in all ways.”
Nowadays, that could be modified to, “Minded persons are unstable in all
ways.” Furthermore, their vocabulary will reflect that instability, and their
actions will generate unsteadiness, insecurity, volatility, flux, and
disharmony.
Those
become the legacy of dualistic thoughts and dualistic words, passed down from
one generation to the next, accepted as “normal parts of life” by persons who
have also accepted unquestioningly that “that’s just the way it is and that’s
just the way it has always been and that’s just the way it is always going to
be.”
And for the masses who have been programmed and conditioned to accept by faith
alone all of the dualistic nonsense that they have been told, with the threat
of eternal pain and suffering awaiting those who do otherwise, a nisarga style
of functioning will most likely never be found.
With
unnatural or supernatural / magical thoughts leading to unnatural or
supernatural / magical words, the result will be that the dogma-loving masses
who are prone to follow along in a sheep-like, sleep-like fashion - never
questioning what they hear from “authorities” - will behave in an unnatural or
supernatural/magical fashion.
Distorted beliefs and distorted thoughts will lead to the use of words that
express distortions and which, in turn, will lead to destructive behaviors
(relatively speaking) that further separate persons from peace and from freedom
and from understanding the unicity and Love; therefore, the invitation is to
utter none of the words and terms and phrases which are rooted in duality.
