Here, there is nothing that is believed, so there is no one here who wants you to believe anything, either. Here, the invitation is to be free of all that you have been programmed, conditioned, acculturated, and domesticated to believe so that you can be free, period.
F.: A key pointer from the last series is this: while many persons may be addicted to either drugs and / or alcohol, work, sex, money, shopping, food, nicotine, gambling, the internet, porn, adventures or adrenaline rushes, religion, spirituality,
applause, knowledge gathering, security, cutting, chaos, ad infinitum, all persons (all those among the non-Realized) have a primary addiction and a secondary addiction that precedes or accompanies all other addictions:
1. The primary addiction among the masses is an addiction to control (to the desire to control people and events and "the world") and
2. the secondary addiction which is an addiction to power (to the desire for power in order to be able to satisfy their primary addiction to control).
As a result of that desire to control, combined with an ignorance of actual causation and a recognition of the fact that they could not control invading hoards or the weather, humans began early on to seek some means by which they could attain the power...
...to win battles against enemies; or to have the ability to balance out weather patterns so that their crops received rain while not being flooded; or so that they would not be too hot or too cold; or so that they would not be wiped out by tornadoes or hurricanes or tsunamis or earthquakes.
Since those early people knew that they had no internal resources that could provide such control and power, they dreamed up external sources of power which they believed they could tap into in order to gain the power they wanted to control everything they wanted to control.
Today, 97% of the earth's population claim an affiliation with one of the organized religions that promise to connect persons with the power they long for in order to be able to control and have power and have their desires met.
Among those, 2.1 billion call themselves Christians; 1.5 billion call themselves Muslims; 14 million call themselves Jews; over 900 million called themselves Hindus; and the other 2.9 billion on the planet who are "believers" are members or followers of other religions or religious-philosophies or "pseudo spiritual" religious groups.
The majority believe that the external, outer resource is a single, male god; another religion teaches that there are 330,000 or more external, outer resources that represent both sexes, that are gods and goddesses;
some believe in the existence of external, outer resources that include millions of gods; and still others claim that the external, outer resource that is available to provide them with power and to fulfill their desires and to assuage their fears is some personal force or, for some, an impersonal force (which nevertheless works with persons).
This notion of divine intervention or universe-intervention or intervention in (a) the relative affairs of what is taken by the masses to be "this world" by (b) some external, other-worldly, outer resource or resources is a result of desires and fears that are based in the belief among the masses of a personal body, a personal mind, and a plethora of assumed personas that all have desire-based agendas and fear-based agendas.
All of that is based in the belief in a near-endless number of dualities: "this world" vs. the "other world"; mortals vs. gods; control vs. a lack of control; power vs. powerlessness; good vs. bad which can guarantee reward vs. punishment; moral vs. immoral; right vs. wrong;
blessings vs. the withholding of blessings; riches vs. poverty; sickness vs. health; and a host of other dualities that are thought to manifest or not, dependent upon the behavior of humans...dependent upon the fact that they are "living supernaturally" instead of naturally.
The belief is that they are to live in a supernatural fashion, having faith in an external, outer resource (or resources); the belief is also that the outer resource is to be praised and glorified and honored and sacrificed to;
the belief then is that those who behave in such a fashion shall be blessed with abundance now and eternal joy later. For the few that understand the meaning of "advaita" - "not two" - it is understood how widespread duality-based ignorance has become around the globe.
Among the Realized, it is understood exactly what the inner resource is, it is understood that the inner resource is the only resource that there is, and it is understood that all talk about an external resource or power or powers is rooted in persons' fictional, duality-based "knowledge" (a.k.a., "learned ignorance").
