POST # 1700: PER NON-DUALITY: EITHER AN INNER RESOURCE OR AN OUTER RESOURCE, BUT NOT BOTH, Part Four, The Conclusion

Here, there is nothing that is believed, so there is no one here who wants you to believe anything, either. Here, the invitation is to be free of all that you have been programmed, conditioned, acculturated, and domesticated to believe so that you can be free, period.

Yet millions of members of such groups never understand that key point in their own literature; those millions left in the subsequent ignorance, though, hardly compare at all to the billions around the globe who claim that their literature provides a means for them to tap into the power of an outer resource (be that a personal god or personal gods or their personal or semi-personal "universe").

Yesterday, the "millions" were discussed, specifically, the millions who are members of step groups who do not read their own literature and who do not understand that in the end the literature makes clear that there is no outer power;

they do not know that their own literature, in the end, defines "a spiritual experience" not as a process of becoming "holy"; not as an experience of being "godly"; not as an experience that has anything to do with an external power living in another world and being available to give a control-obsessed membership even more control via that outer resource;

they do not understand that the plan, which is unveiled at the end of their book, involves restoring its insane membership to sanity by way of tapping into what their program's founders called "an unsuspected inner resource" (namely, the pure consciousness) and not by way of what their religious members misidentify as "God-consciousness."

Today, the "billions" will be discussed who have bought into, and are perpetuating the false concept of, an outer power and who have spent two millennia spreading their false beliefs around the globe. (And, yes, other such persons have been spreading the same type of false beliefs for five thousand years or more.)

As with the "millions" above, the "billions" do not read their own literature, either. The "Lord and Savior" they worship had been exposed to the Advaita teachings and was sharing Advaitin pointers at the end of his "teaching career";

yet it is likely that not even 1% of those billions have ever heard of Advaita Vedanta. Reserarch shows that fewer than 10% of those who assert that "Jesus is my Lord" have read their text even one time from cover to cover.

Like the millions above, the two billion in this group do not understand that the Advaitin pointers offered by him were suggesting that they abandon the pagan-based and Torah-based beliefs they have been taught about a God and about heaven:

"No one shall ever see heaven - it is within." (No heaven, ergo, no outer power living there and no outer power waiting there for the arrival of "the recently-dead" in order to judge them.)

"Heaven and earth shall fade away." (When? When the consciousness fades away. Why? Because heaven and hell and an outer power supposedly residing in the supposed heaven are all concepts stored within the "mind," and those concepts will fade away as the consciousness slowly unmanifests someday.)

Those billions do not understand that the one they worship was encouraging them to abandon their belief in "God-consciousness" and to grasp the Advaitin understanding regarding the inner resource, the pure consciousness, and the "I AM THAT; I AM":

"When you speak of Me, speak of Me as 'I AM'."

"Before Abraham was, I AM."

To those millions and billions, add in the remainder of the 97% on the planet who seek an external power, who have faith in an imaginary outer resource, who claim to worship an external power, who claim to tap into the external power of "The Universe," or who believe in one or multiple gods and / or goddesses.

Include the billions who are members of those other religions or who are adherents to religious-type philosophies who tout the inerrancy of their holy book or holy writings or holy scriptures, none of which they have read in their entirety in most cases.

On the seven-step "journey" from identification with the counterfeit triad of body-mind-personality, there is a step where persons must assume either a religious persona or a spiritual persona as a "new" identity to replace their identification with the false triad above.

Yet most will fixate there. She / He who believes that what was sought has been found will search no more. They will mistake "the dawn for the noon" (Maharaj). They will mistakenly believe that they have reached the end of "path" when they have not traveled even half of its actual length.

They will play at what Maharaj called "kindergarten spirituality" and talk of being at one with an external power or outer resource. They will be as lost in their identification with their "new / good / better personas" as they were in the former personas they had adopted or accepted as real.

The invitation here is to move beyond any and all beliefs that came about as a result of programming and conditioning, including concepts about an external power or powers, about an outer resource or resources, or about some force of the universe that is available at your mind's beck and call to fulfill your persona-based wishes, no matter how selfish and self-serving they are.

Here, you are invited to tap into that unsuspected inner resource (which many actually have "suspected" at certain moments of clarity but then discounted). You are invited to take the steps that clear away all of the blockages (that is, all of the ideas and beliefs and concepts and other content of the "mind") which prevent the pure consciousness from seeing lies as lies.

Then, having cleared away the darkness of lies, You will awaken to the Eternal and the Eternal Truth will be seen clearly in the light of pure consciousness. You will then understand that You Are the light, that You Are the energy that can be conscious of when manifested, and that You Are That Which Is Eternally Real.
